They were late with alteration for wedding blamed it on being overworked. Okay. Then the flower girl dress ( material from shortened hem from bridesmaid dress being altered) was to have sash made from the shortened hem so it matched bridesmaids- not done instead made the sash that came with dress thinner and shorter. Yes she had written in order to make sash from hem will be thinner and shorter and in pieces. Guess took her so long to get to alteration she forgot what she meant. Tried to tell me my fault for leaving original sash there and she was confused. Had to pay $25 for the sash she did in error and $15 for the corrected sash which at first she wasn’t going to do. No apology at all just blamed me. I said why would I come in with bridesmaid to have sash made it I didn’t want it to match so use the leftover hem material. What bride wouldn’t want sash to match bridesmaids. If you don’t mind your alteration being late and have to have it redone and pay for their error then this is place for you. Would never trust again.

Pricey for what was done. She didn't take in the bust of my dress as I requested and when I called back she raised her voice at me and told me she did everything the way I wanted. (Though why would I be calling to get it fixed if that were true) Now I have to go find someone else to fix their mistake.

They DO NOT guarantee their work. I took a dress in to be hemmed and it wasn't hemmed where it needed to be. It was off by about 6 inches so it was a fairly noticeable mistake. When I kindly brought it to their attention, they got hostile and rude and insisted it was my mistake. They then made me pay for it again a second time to have it done right. I have been taking my stuff there for years, I wasn't upset at all about the mistake until I went in there to correct it and was treated the way I was. I DO NOT recommend taking your alterations there. Cost me $60 for them to hem a dress and talk to me rudely. They lost my business -- I will NEVER go back there again.

I took a bridesmaid dress and a flower girl dress to have alterations done. The flower girl dress had a brown sash and I requested that the hem of my dress be used to create a red sash for the dress instead. She measured my hem to make sure she would have enough material and told us she can do it, but the sash would be thinner than the original. We said that was fine. I was told I could pick it up on a Thursday, but I was going to go Friday. I got a call on Thursday that she had not even started am I ok to pick up on Saturday. I said sure, when I went Saturday she had not even finished yet and due to Sunday and Monday being closed I could only pick up on Tuesday (for a wedding on a Friday and she had the dresses for weeks). When we went to pick up the dresses the bridesmaid dress was complete but the flower girl dress was not. All she had done was make the brown sash smaller. She argued with us telling us we told her that was ok. She then made the red sash for us and had the nerve to charge us more money for her mistake. When she gave us the price in the beginning on the bill it said "make sash" she know she was supposed to make a sash and did not. She argued with me when I went to pick up my dress and did not even let me try it on a final time as she was angry. NOT good customer service at all. You don't argue with your customers if you would like them to return. Will NOT be going back.

This was an incredibly easy process the whole way. Not only were they cheaper than expected, but the craftsmanship is outstanding! I brought a pair of very oversized pants and they had them fitting perfectly in the end. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for any other tailoring needs!!!

I had an off-the-rack gown that needed alterations. The dress had to be taken in at several places, so it needed more than the usual little pin and sew. The dress fits like a glove now and I couldn't be happier! The husband/wife team are very friendly and helpful, and definitely know what they're doing. I will be back again!

I brought my winter jacket here last night that was essentially missing the pulls (unable to be zipped up). The women working here was so lovely - she originally thought that we would need to replace the entire zipper which she didn't have the length my jacket would need. She said to leave it with her for about 30 minutes, so I left and came back. She was able to replace the pulls only and keep original zipper in place - she said this is very rare that you can do this (pulls have to be exact same size and fit perfectly) - I am so thankful she took the time to even try let alone make it work. She charged me around $16 or $17 which is an amazing price. I am SO thankful and appreciate to have a zipping up winter jacket again. Such a small thing but makes a huge difference! I will definitely be returning for any tailoring/repairs that I need, and will be recommending to friends and family. Thanks again!

I had a beautiful lace gown altered here a couple years ago and was really happy with the work. So, I recently had my ceremony and reception wedding dresses done here. The original wedding dress was custom made and I had to have it altered quite a bit after finding out I was going to be over 5 months pregnant. I ordered another maternity dress in a larger size and she altered both perfectly and in time for the wedding. I was really happy with the service I got here and would recommend to anyone.

This is the only place I will use for alterations in the KW region! Not only do they do a fantastic job with alterations (I've utilized them for everything from simple base hemming of jeans/dresses to complex alterations on expensive gowns), they are also incredibly friendly and sweet when assisting you! I was recommended to come here to get a dress altered for my daughter’s wedding. I was pleased by the attention to detail to getting the measurements right as it was long and had three layers to deal with. Everything turned out perfect. On the big day, I slipped into my dress at the last minute after doing the Mom thing and making sure everyone else was ready to go and found that the zipper at the side got stuck half way up. It wasn’t that the dress was too tight. The fabric on the dress changes part way up and it had always given me a problem every time I had tried it on to that point. To my complete horror the zipper separated and in my effort to get it down and try again, the slide came off on my hand. It was 2:40. I called the tailor and she said bring it right over. Note they close at 3 on Saturdays. At the time I should have been leaving to take pictures at the park, my husband rushed me to see what could be done. I was in a panic. When I walked in she dropped what she was doing to help me. After much edfort on her part she pulled some of the stitches out to free up the bottom of the zipper and attempted to reattach. Neither of us felt it was going to work and we were discussing other options like a new zipper. Luckily her talent saved the day and I was out the door within fifteen minutes wearing the dress. We hugged and I thanked her as well as the people I inconvenienced by making them wait while she focused on me. I will be delivering a well deserved gift to the store this afternoon.

I am not able to give zero stars because one star is too much. I used this store 3 times due to convenience. Dress shirts and dress pants were returned in a ok condition, the poorest I have ever seen coming from the dry cleaners. To top it off, a white winter jacket that costs $500 was returned in pure grey colour. The owner washed his hands off saying the dry cleaning is not done by them, but by Sketchley cleaners and it's my problem now. A month later, the jacket was returned with the exact same grey colour and I was told by the Sketchley rep and the store owner that this is it. The gentleman and the lady working in the store are trying to please but the service is poor. Customer service zero.

I had the loveliest experience here. I was in a pinch and needed alterations done on a dress that I was wearing to a wedding the next day and the owners/kind lady that does the alterations helped me so quickly and efficiently. Not only was the service of the alterations fantastic and everything I needed in such a short time, but the customer service was outstanding. They are so kind and helpful, I tried to tip her but she wouldn’t even let me because I’m a student. I highly recommend this place for any tailoring needs. I will be using them from now on.

Stay away from this location unless your want your garments ruined. The owners are rude and came be hostile. They will never take responsibility for their mistakes and sloppy workmanship. I am surprised they are still in business considering the number of negative reviews. They are MUCH better tailors in the Kitchener Waterloo area. This location does not even rate one star.

I came in end of June to have a bridesmaid dress altered. I was told it would be ready July 19th. I needed the dress july 27th. Fast forward to July 19th, I was away so unable to pick it up. They called that Saturday but I was away still, I made the mistake of assuming it was a call to say it was done. I checked the voicemail Monday, the owner says "you need to be here by 3 to pick up your dress, we're going on vacation for 2 weeks". So my dress was locked up, no alternate number was left to call, they never told me when I dropped it off they were closing!! I had 3 days to find an alternative. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
