Alterations were done within a week! Lots of years experience. She's done all 3 of my daughter in laws' wedding dresses and this time, my mother of the groom's dress that needed torso shortening. Looking at her work and you can't tell the difference from store bought to seamstress alterations. Price is affordable.

Laleta is so talented and gifted with dresses and alterations! She was able to take in a bridesmaid dress for me that was 4 sizes too big. I had my dress ordered from Ballets Bridal, where my measurements were taken by the associate there, and was absolutely shocked and horrified when I tried it on and it was so big I could fit my entire arm in it!! I was really nervous about getting the dress altered, especially after having such a bad experience with Ballets Bridal, but I didn’t need to be. She did an AMAZING job – you can’t tell where any of the seams are, the ruching looks perfect, and the dress fit so perfectly. I was also really surprised that her prices were really cheap, since I got her card from the expensive bridal store where my dress was purchased. She caps her prices for bridesmaid dresses, and she didn’t try to upsell me. She was honest and told me the hem didn’t need to be done because of the height of my heels. I was afraid it would cost something like $300 to have the dress reconstructed, but she only charged me $50!! I was so surprised. She is extremely talented, as well as thorough and meticulous. As many of my friends are getting engaged and married in the next few years, I will be recommending Laleta to all of them. Thanks again!!

I bought a dress from Ballets and I needed to change the back to a corset and to get it shortened, I paid in advance and was not happy with the work that was done...my bad luck was that I was flying to Europe and I ran out of time to take it somewhere else, I was offered to bring it back o my return from Europe but I will never go back. She was nice enough to bring me the dress at home the day I was flying out but it was not steamed or anything since "I was taking it on a flight ". Overall not happy with the service or the end result, I did not appreciate when we agree on the work and then it's all changed because she" had to go with the fabric " or " I thought you would be ok with this, I didn't think to call you and ask you before doing it".

Pretty unprofessional, they gave us an estimate and said twice that they would confirm before doing the work, then called when it was done and asked for more than double the amount. The work done was nice but this kind of thing annoys me.

Very unprofessional and disappointing expirence. I needed my prom dress altered I came over 1 month before my prom and ended up getting it a few days before I live a hour away it was very stressful! She charged me and then gave me the dress told me it’s fine I don’t need to try it on which was definitely my mistake nothing was done but the bottom was cut the beading was missing, straps still weren’t shorted after she told me she did. Then she went on to say the other person didn’t do it? Yet she claims to work alone. Beware someone else also does it in her family that she doesn’t tell anyone about she didn’t take responsibility and it still wasn’t right the second time she fixed it. It was recommend from the bridal shop that I got my prom dress from, I was shocked when it was a bad experience. If u go here make sure u book months ahead of time and be on her abour getting it done she’s very disorganized and will not let u know anything. She’s good at her work but this was very disorganized very disappointing, will never be recommending this to anyone terrible experience.

Honestly, we weren’t impressed with her work for my wedding dress. She left it until last minute to do all my alterations and needed to come back 2 more times to make sure it was good. It wasn’t. We asked her to put a sparkly underlay under my dress and asked her not to bunch it so it didn’t change the colour of the dress. Well, we showed up 4 days before my wedding it was bunched and changed the colour of my dress completely. I literally cried (no one should cry in their wedding dress unless it’s happy tears) We then told her to take it out when she clearly didn’t want to. We went to pick up the dress 2 days before and it was back to the way it originally was - not how we wanted it. Better yet, she didn’t even give us back the fabric that WE GAVE HER. I was not happy with her especially since it’s such an important dress - be cautious on who you give your wedding dress to. I would hate this to happen to someone else for their day.

I went here after hearing rave reviews about laletas work - and I was not disappointed She was very professional, quick, and told me what needed to be done to my dress and didn’t try to say more needed to be done than what she suggested My bridesmaid dress was a lot of work and after a few places turned me away I’m glad I was able to go to laleta and get my dress done properly! It was taken down 4 sizes after where I purchased the dress insisted I buy larger than what I was measured for costing me more than I was expecting so that alterations could be done to the dress to better fit me I will be recommending laleta to anyone and I will be returning to get work done!
