Once you put on your first Proper Cloth shirt you'll never buy department store dress shirts again. Just provide your measurements and your custom made shirt arrives at your doorstep. I have a small waist for my height so it is very hard finding shirts that fit properly that aren't tailored. The shirts are very well made and they have a great variety of cloth weight and patterns. Definitely worth the money!

I also bought these masks because they have 5 layers of cloth protection, yet they do not seem thick. The packaging materials are like plastic but a biodegradable, plant-based substance. My interactions have been great from my limited purchases. The option to customize your clothing is one step above the rest. To take it even further, they take time to inform the viewer about styles and fabrics. This is knowledge that's hard to come by, and they freely give it away. I browse the website, and constantly day dream about pieces I could apply together. It's a company I want to stick around as long as I am, and I'll try my damnest to not purchase a shirt, jacket or pants anywhere else. The best thing since sliced bread! Hands down. I went into the shop in March and got fitted. Then I ordered my first shirt a popover. After it arrived I have not stopped wearing it any chance I get. I just recently order some dress shirts, cashmere sweater and a sport coat. Very pleased. With one exception on the sport coat make that two exceptions one is the patch pockets and the other is the fit around the midsection. I guess that will serve as inspiration to get back in the gym!

I love the details you can add to your shirts like accents on the collars and cuffs. Prior to placing my order, I took advantage of the fact that the site offers you the opportunity to send in shirts for measuring (so that the shirts you ultimately order will have the exact fit that you want). The entire process, from start to finish, was absolutely seamless—I sent in my favorite dress shirt, as I really liked the fit and wanted to use it for my future orders, it was properly measured and sent back to me (for free, I might add), and when I was ready to place my shirt order, everything turned out incredibly well. I mean, right out of the packaging, everything fit perfectly! And after having the shirts initially dry cleaned (the shirt dimensions shift a bit after the first couple of washes), everything still fit perfectly! It's always bothered me that my dress shirts don't fit me well. I figured it was just because I'm tall - too tight across the chest, baggy in the stomach, and sleeves that are always 2" too short. You won't have this problem with Proper Cloth. Everything is custom, down to the 1/4." You can even add extra space around the cuff for a watch. 5/5

I love being able to get shirts that fit me well in the waist as I am thin and even a tapered shirt bought at a store does not fit as well as these custom shirts. I especially appreciate that I was able to return the first shirt because I didn't get the size quite right (too loose at the waist). I also was able to return a heavy weight oxford shirt when I realized I did not like the weight of the shirt. I got a medium weight shirt as a replacement and am very happy with that weight. All in all I am very pleased with being able to get custom shirts from Proper Cloth. I love being able to get essentially a perfect fit shirt with various other customizations like making the diameter of the left cuff a quarter inch bigger to accommodate a wrist watch.

I am a big guy and have always had challenges finding dress shirts that fit me properly. Usually they fit my neck but are too big in the middle and the sleeves too short. I tried Proper Cloth. Sent in my measurements and was really happy with the first shirt I got. LOVE these masks! I purchased a three-pack in the size small (as they were on sale, bonus!), it was a risk worth taking. They conform really well to my face, the ear pieces and nose adjustment strip are easy to get a perfect fit which feels safe and secure. I like that you can change out the inner 'liner' and remove it when washing the masks. I wear glasses and have had no issues with them fogging up, which is a first. They also came individually wrapped, which means you can keep a spare in your vehicle/purse, safe and clean for when you need it. Very happy indeed, highly recommended, many thanks.

I saw this company on a bespoke shirt review and decided to give them a chance. I’m 5’7” and 170lbs so I have a hard time finding shirts that are slim fit, but not tight. When I saw that Proper Cloth was made to measure, I had to give them a try. I used their sizing tool and made slight alterations for the size as needed. The shirt I ordered was $180 which is slightly pricy, but once the shirt arrived, I was convinced that the price was worth it. When the shirt arrived, it was more than I could have imagined. The size was absolutely perfect and the features (mother of pearl buttons, brass collar stays) were incredible. I would 100% absolutely recommend Proper Cloth and I will undoubtedly be ordering more shirts.

On the plus side, these masks are well made and comfortable. Customer service was pleasant but ultimately unable to solve my problem satisfactorily. The linen that this mask was made from came out extremely wrinkled and the mask was misshapen after laundering. Ironing was suggested by customer service as a way to correct this issue. If I owned an iron or considered this at all convenient, this might have solved the problem. However, given the number of times any mask should be washed after wearing, I do NOT think this is a practical solution. Masks cannot be returned and no refund or partial refund option for the 3 masks I purchased was offered. Ultimately, I am out $50 and that is that. Buyer beware of the characteristics of your chosen fabric if you plan to order these expensive masks.

I bought their everyday masks after reading the reviews from Wirecutter. They arrived well packed and the shipping was fast. Good fabric and well made. I like the fact they have adjustable ear loops and nose wire which really makes a difference for someone wears glasses. The mask is designed to be wear alone with sew-in filter I think. If you wear a surgical mask underneath like I do, the corners will show.

I went through the online fitting process to get my shirt and, though it took 3 iterations, the customer service was excellent and the product felt and fit AWESOME. Now that I got my fit ironed out, I've purchased 2 additional shirts that I love. Very happy customer. I'm not sure why I'd go anywhere else for my button downs. Only negative is that it is a process that can take some time. From order to doorstep has been a 3 week process, but well worth the wait.

My experience with Proper Cloth is limited to covid masks, but I like them enough that I've bought them here twice, even though they're somewhat pricier than most masks. I wear hearing aids, so I only like masks with strings that go over the head, not around the ears, and those are a little hard to find. I also like that Proper Cloth masks have built-in filters, and I like that they pull snugly around the edges but are loose over my nose and mouth, so if I wear them over a tent-shaped KN95, they don't crush it. And they look pretty classy, and they're quite comfy and breathable. The online shopping, purchasing and delivery experience was unremarkable but perfectly competent and trouble free.

Well made, mask fits me well without moving about when I speak, and it arrived a few days before the estimated day. These are the best masks I have gotten so far and I have ordered a lot of them. The material is very high quality and the mask covers more of my face than other masks and has a filter insert as well. They come in grey, navy, and black. I have a big head and the small fit me fine. They are expensive but well worth the money. I got the ones with bands that go around the head, not just the ears - definitely a closer fit with fewer gaps.

I really like proper cloth. They have a great variety of shirts at different price points and an infinite number of combinations. It’s fun to build your own shirt and know that their ironclad customer service guarantee is behind it. I have never had a problem with the company. Of course within reason they allow you to exchange shirts you may not like or exchange a shirt that does not fit properly. But after a while this becomes a non-issue since you can dial in your exact fit very quickly. Since I started using proper cloth I have developed a wish list of cool fabrics for different seasons. It is so easy to make an appointment on their website. For this particular building look to the far right of the door and press the 601 button. I got confused because many pressed a keypad nearer to the handle to enter the building. Anyway after getting through that (my bad)... I made my way into the elevator and wow! I mean the it looks just like the pictures. Open space, wood, you immediately feel welcomed. I was set up with Amy Fedin for a suit fitting. Note my mom was a seamstress back in the day so I could tell Amy knew what she was doing. See you can get anyone to measure you and put some measurements into a site.. order your clothes and say hmm this isn't comfortable or this looks odd. Someone with experience like my mom can say, actually you will need slack here and here. Notice how this crumples lets loosen this and this. Experience is what gets you a fitting that is practical and works with the fabric or garment you are picking. The other important thing is that I was never rushed, she was patient and we actually went over by 15 min. At the end she saved Jacket size, Pants size, and shirt size under my ProperCloth account. Which is so great, I can order things in the future as well. I picked the fabric, customized the my suit right there and hit the order button. All I can say is thank you Amy and ProperCloth. THIS is the way service and things should be in the modern world. Online technology, seamless transitions, friendly but knowledgable associates, and a feeling of wow.

First time buyer and with me dictating the exact measurements, the fit was spot on. I ordered a simple white twill dress shirt with french cuffs sort of as a trial run. Unless you need a shirt within a few days, there's no reason not use a company like this because you can send the shirt back or request alterations to it online. About as close as you can get to bespoke tailoring. Get your measurements done beforehand so there will be minor changes if needed. I actually didn't have any measurements done and just used numbers based on what I wear now and knowing what's comfortable and fitting for me. I also like the fact that the custom measurements are saved and any shirt I purchase in the future, I know will be "Proper".

This is my source for shirts. Their service is beyond compare. I don't use hyperbole often. I have ordered custom shirts for almost two years and have been more than happy with the fabric, fit and service. It's just a great total package. I just ordered some Japanese Pique material for short and long sleeved polos. I have a medical hernia which I want to cover up and the custom tailoring allows me to do that. On this order, I made a mistake on the web based custom design tool that resulted in two shirts with features I did not want. To be sure, this was my mistake. When the shirts arrived, they were configured incorrectly because of my mistake. Without hesitation, I was advised how to return the custom shirts at no expense whatsoever to me. My account was credited in full without any forms or waiting on hold to accomplish this. My personal assistant guided me through a re-order process to ensure that the replacement shirts were configured properly. New shirts were shipped directly to me in record time. They fit and are configured perfectly. My punishment is to write this review; which I am more than happy to do. I could not imagine a better process. I've never experienced any better customer service for any product or service. I am really impressed. They have a customer for life.

I think I have now had 10 shirts made, both light and heavy, and one tux. I also like it that I am able to customize my collars to be somewhat longer than most people wear. Having a somewhat unusual body (thick neck but otherwise relatively slim, I was never able to get a good fit on off-the rack shirts. Either they were like tents or the collar could not be buttoned. Also, the slope of the shoulders is great. I am totally committed to Proper Cloth shirts. If you are able to go in to one of the retail locations, a personal session will result in an even better fit. Also, it is interesting to see what the Proper Cloth offices are like

The experience was overall wonderful. Shirt remakes are a breeze once you get a customer service rep on the line (the main hold up is that the website will otherwise prevent you from remaking more than one shirt at a time). These are my fifth and sixth Proper Cloth shirts for a reason... they fit great, wear well over time, resist staining/discoloration, and are wrinkle-resistant (at least the fabrics I have tried). I am typically cost-conscious, but would recommend these to anyone because they look great and last much longer than other off-the-rack "fitted" brands I have tried. Causal informal is not yet business normal. So I've purchased and worn a lot of shirts and even had shirts custom made locally. The biggest problem is change! Change in size, change in style and change in use not to mention change in material. Proper Cloth makes it easy! From the comfort of your own home you select from a very wide selection of materials, colors and patterns and then apply a variety of options frequently seen only at the finest private shirt makers. Vary your pocket, buttons, cuff, collar and more to suit your taste. Want a longer shirt because you have a longer trunk - no problem. Want one cuff wider to accommodate your favorite gigunda watch - no problem! Best of all - a great price. And if you screwed up the fit they will work with you to fix it. That's because the only risk is getting the measurements right which means following directions and using a tape measure. No, you can't do it digitally yet but who knows what's coming. I do know that when that can be done - Proper Cloth will be doing it!

Great idea, terrible application at least for me. I wanted to get a dress shirt made for my wedding and also have a casual shirt made as well. i was really excited for this and wanted to love it, but shirts I got out of it fit weird and looked terrible. Over the course of a month I went to the store to troubleshoot the issues, update my measurements, and had both shirts remade and sent back and forth three times. Each time the shirts came back and looked just bad on me. I wound up returning both and going to Brooks Brothers for my wedding shirt and with $30 worth of alterations from my tailor it looks awesome. The quality of materials is good, customer service is excellent, the staff in the Soho store were wonderful. Like I said I really wanted to love this product, and if it works for you I'm envious. But my personal experience here was frustrating.

If you've ever wondered why you get that "muffin top" on store-bought shirts, with mounds of excess fabric in your back and pooling over your belt - go with Proper Cloth. The large fits up to a tall/larger female well, but it's not big enough for my husband who has an XL head (just needs longer elastic). The small size is a perfect fit for my tall 9 year old daughter. We all think they are very comfy, don't get too hot, feel very secure/safe, and don't fall down. Some of the fabrics (like the pale blue denim) are thicker than others, so reach out to Customer Service if you want to make sure you are getting a mask with a lighter/cooler material.

I have purchased 8-9 shirts over the past several years. My original self- measurements resulted in shirts with perfect fit. I’m 6-3, thin and have very long arms (37 inch) so there’s no standard pre-made shirts that can deal with my size. The fabric quality and colors are superb. The shirt design is up to you for each shirt. There are almost too many choices but you can consult with them online or have a video chat fitting and consultation if needed. You can also have a “remake” if something is wrong. However, following their measurement instructions, supplying height, weight and other details should result in a beautiful shirt. Oh, they hav expanded into suits, jackets, slacks, sweat shirts - pants recently too.

This is a Proper fitting mask. It's big enough to cover everything that needs to be covered without making you feel like you're in Face jail. There is a lot of room between my mouth and the mask. We're gonna be in masks for at least a while so might as well get one that fits. My wife liked mine so much that she's ordering for herself and our younglings. **Edited a few hours after opening to include that this mask, while I wouldn't want to stand on the edge of a wildfire, did a very good job of blocking out a lot of the smells and tastes involved in gross air. I have purchased multiple cotton/linen masks and this is by far THE best one! You can order the masks with either adjustable ear loops or around-the-head elastic. It is made from quality cotton with beautiful stitching to form a nicely contoured shape. It has the best coverage for the face I have ever purchased. It goes from the bridge of the nose to well under the chin. I ordered the large one and it fits perfectly, even though I am a woman and do not have the largest face! I love the coverage, plus there is a very comfortable nose wire for a better fit better around the nose. I have not found many cotton masks that have the nose wire. It is especially important if you wear glasses to help prevent fogging. I am so impressed by this mask, I went back and purchased a multicolored 3-pack! I had not heard of this company before, but am so happy to have found them. They are interested in what you have to say about your shopping experience as well as the product purchased. They also ask for any suggestions you have to help them improve. The masks have already gone through through 4 or 5 versions that improve upon the last. This is a great mask from a quality company! Would absolutely highly recommend! Just buy a 3-pack the first time around, like I wish I had done!

Both were of excellent quality and the wraparound one was particularly comfortable on the ears. The behind the ear model is a linen blend and looks about as good as a mass can look. It takes perhaps an hour or two to go through the fitting measurements and they remade the first shirt for me. I was in NY several months ago & went in to have my measurements taken. It took about an hr & I eagerly ordered a couple shirts based off their measures. What a complete & utter disappointment they turned out to be. The two shirts look like hand me downs I need to grow into & not custom fitted shirts I paid a premium for. In fact, when I compared the measurements it turns out they sized me to essentially a large shirt. The chest, waist, collar, etc were all for a standard large shirt. And yet I’m lanky & only wear xs shirts! Their chest measurement is something like 5.4” too large. Ditto for the waist & bicep measurements. How they thought such a grotesquely oversized shirt would look good is truly beyond me. Now I have to try & get the issue fixed from afar. And, annoyingly, the adjustments are so significant their system wouldn’t even let me go down that far when I tried to reorder. And their customer service people have been less than helpful; condescendingly telling me that I need to wash them to allow for shrinkage. They obviously aren’t listening to my actual complaint & are just treating it like it’s only slightly oversized. My main advice is: don’t blindly trust their measurements, esp if Luigi was the one who did it. Better yet, just get your measurements taken elsewhere by competent people.

These are well made, and the fabrics that I have ordered are high quality. Apparently the shirts are made in Vietnam, which is fine, but my only reservation, the reason I don't give 5 stars yet, is that I don't know if the workers who make the shirts are fairly compensated. I wish the company would be able to re-assure us of that, I don't want to buy products from anything like a sweatshop.

I like the business model of custom details on a shirt and bought two Oxford cloth dress shirts, but I have two large concerns - they fit very well at first, but the fabric continued to shrink with each wash until they are no longer comfortable. - my preferred style is with one button flap pocket. They would do one pocket with no flap, or two pockets with flaps. Given the huge range of customizations they offer, this would seem like an easy request to satisfy. I ended up giving away one shirt - it shrank too much, and painstakingly removing the extra pocket from the other one.

Pros: -Excellent seal to face (prevents safety glasses from fogging while conducting lab work, and most air is passing through the filter) -stiff center seam keeps fabric off of my mouth even while inhaling -Over head straps prevent back of ear irritation -Fabric is comfortable and stylish -Filter pocket keeps filter secure and away from my face -Nose bridge remains securely in place, even while talking for long durations during presentations Trade offs: -in order to keep fabric away from my mouth, the mask sticks out from my face farther than most I’ve tried -As a result of the good seal to face and multiple fabric layers the mask does trap some heat and moisture, but only over long durations I’ve tried this mask against disposable surgical masks, outdoor research’s mask, athleta’s cloth masks, and the Figs’ mask. This mask is my #1 choice out of the group for long durations and crowded areas. It is the only mask I’ve found that creates a secure, respirator-like seal to my face while still maintaining enough comfort to not be distracting. I would recommend this mask to anyone spending extended periods of time around others where social distancing may not always be possible.

I think this is my favorite of the many, MANY cloth masks I've made or ordered. It's definitely the best-fitting and most comfortable. It's wider than many, so covers more of your face; the bendable nose piece is longer than most, to fit it snugly not only to your nose but along the top of your cheek; best of all, the elastic runs free inside the casing along the side, so that when it gets old and stretched out you can easily replace it. (Can't believe how many of them are stitched into place, so that when the elastic goes you might as well toss the whole mask, unless you're handy with a seam ripper and sewing machine.) I love Proper Cloth shirts. I don't even waste my money on dress shirts from department stores anymore. The algorithm for the custom fit is very good. Having said that, I tweaked my custom fit slightly from the original algorithm on subsequent orders. However, for simply answering a series of questions, even the original shirt fit better than any off the rack dress shirt I have purchased in the past from a department store. Besides the custom fit, the option to add a monogram and other customizations on the collar, placket, buttons, etc., make these shirts worth the money. Don't hesitate to try Proper Cloth.

Their masks fit very well! I might add a latex nose pad for added face seal. Nose wire present. No chin wrap but bottom edge extends far down beyond the chin to somewhat create a chin wrap effect. They don’t have kid sizes or cloth patterns but their size small fits my 8 year old. Option to swap out ear loops for head straps (obviating the need for extra tightening ear saver straps). Sewn in filters (up to nose seam and down to jaw line but not to lateral edges, but may cover the breathable surface well enough?)

Proper Cloth is the real deal. It might take a couple of tries, but if you go through their process, you'll get a shirt that fits perfectly. It comes at a cost, but it isn't much more than buying off-the-rack and having significant tailoring done. Also, the result you get will be better since the shirt was made from scratch to a particular size. You can't get that from buying a bigger shirt and having it cut down.

Proper Cloth is the best! I am a shorter man, and I can't really buy shirts off the shelf that fit me. If I get the neck size right, the sleeves are too long, and vice versa. Proper Cloth solves that problem for me. The fabrics are very nice and the shirt construction is very good. I also like the variety of collars that are offered. All of these options add to a shirt which looks unique, professional, and fits perfectly. I finally feel comfortable wearing a nice dress shirt.

The Everyday mask v 2 is the best fabric mask I've found. The first version was good and this one is better. The fit is very close to n95, but comfortable. The filters are sewn in, which is great for washing.
