They do a great job with Queen's bars and crests. It was like $5/bar to get sewn on. Sometimes they do them on the spot, other times they say they need a day or two. I also wore my front crest right down and they were able to fix it up so you can't even tell.

Allan Langille

Fantastic work at reasonable prices. I've been a customer for close to 20 years, and that's why.

We dropped off a very expensive pair of pants to get hemmed and they absolutely botched a simple job. The stitching was not even straight. They wouldn't let us take our clothes unless we paid. Terrible service. Do not support these guys go somewhere else.

Jiulio Consiglio

Excellent work and the prices are more than fair.

I have been going to see these wonderful people for years. They have fixed many many tricky things for me. Adapted a ripped giant camping supply bag, created special cushions to match some drapes. Love them. Support local.

Wouldn't even look at a jacket I needed repaired.

GREAT JOB!! The space heater at work melted a hole through the arm of my jacket. Took it in, expecting nothing more than an obvious looking patch-work cover up. I was wrong! They did a phenomenal job! You can't even tell where the patch is - so professional and quick! I have shown everyone and they are always surprised to find out there was any fixing done at all. Looks great! Thank you so much! I will recommend you to everyone!

Very happy with how closely they were able to match my suit to my dimensions. I've never had pants fit me so well! I found that the dry cleaning did leave my garments very lint-y and there were a few minor wrinkles from how tightly everything was squeezed on the rack. Only one changing room and a half-size mirror. Overall - great tailors, rickety shop. Fairly priced and very busy, great for students.

Overall is great. Sewing each $6.

I've been here a few times and they have always done a decent job with sewing patches on my leather jacket. However, they have confusing policies about being cash only... I've seen them take debit before but have been told otherwise by the staff.

I've been to many places in Kingston and nothing compares to Quick Sew. The owners are very friendly and always have the best advice for fitment. Thank you for your professionalism and kindness. You guys are amazing!

Ignore any review that gives less than five stars to this place. Quick Sew is the bomb. They do excellent work, are always professional and friendly to deal with, and their prices are reasonable. I've been coming here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I go to this place to get my Queen’s jacket bars sewn. Every time I use their service they always do a superb job. Would recommend to anybody who needs any sort of sewing done here.

They had the work done quick and its quality work

A true monopoly in sewing on bars and crests for Queen's jackets. In short, extremely expensive because Queen's rich students could afford it. But quick and experienced in getting the work done and rude in serving you. There is no pricing scale. It is $6 to sew a pass crest on their website, but asked for $10 in person. The website is clearly updated since it says 2019, but they said their pricing on the website is from 3 years ago, which I'm not going to deny the possibility. The receipt they gave me had no details, just scribbled the final price. I understand the pricing is a lot higher since they are downtown and close to campus, but it looks like they just charge you whatever based on how you look (or how expensive your jacket is). If you do your research, you will find that you could get the same job done half of their price in another local tailor. Laurrie's alterations first asked $28 for the same work that they asked for $60. But if you don't mind paying for more for the convenience, then choose Quick sew!

Staff was unfriendly and garment was not ready on time

Brendan Montgomery

Depending on how busy they are, repairs can take a day to a week but they do a good job. They've saved a few pairs of pants for me and it was cheap and way cheaper than buying new ones.

Terrible service. Extremely rude.

Alex Baranick

A very honest establishment. I came in needing repairs on an item. Instead of charging me an arm and a leg was told I'd be better off rebuying. Very honest!

Went in to have a dress tailored (length altered and straps added). They were finished a week LATE and did NOT do a good job. The length was fine but the straps were ALL wrong. They were placed incorrectly and not how I asked them to make them. I fixed them myself and did a better job. Definitely NOT worth the cost and would NOT recommend!

Very nice people running the store. Went in with my queens jacket to get bars sewn on and purchase a few of my own. Was told that custom bars were 9$ to make but when I went it and asked for the bar "floored" a school condoned bar, it was not available and that was fine but I was charged $11.30! Price is a little steep but they did an amazing job other than the $11.30 bar situation. Would suggest queens jackets come here. They know what they are doing

After dropping off my dress for alterations for a black tie formal event, i returned to the store to pick it up two days before the event to find that the lining of the dress (which was not supposed to be altered) was actually shortened to the point of it being impossible to wear. Not only was my dress destroyed, when I asked the woman to fix it she refused to do it unless I paid more and was extremely rude. I now have a dress that I bought and have never worn that I will never be able to wear and have invested money in a company that doesn't care about the quality of their work. Do NOT bring your clothes here!

Brian Lee

Great and quick service

Genevieve Dostaler

extremely shotty repairs... As someone who has taken courses as a seamstress and have done quite a bit of sewing in the past - this is unfinished and poorly done. They destroyed a handmade gown I brought in to have a zipper replaced and the other two pieces were poorly finished... unfortunately I had payed before picking up any of the pieces and did not check in the store.... I did not redo these pieces myself since I was short on time and had heard about the 'great seamstress just off princess' - turns out it wasn't this store - it is further down princess... Friendly staff.... extremely poor technique....

Lauren Day

Terrible experience. The work done on my dress was not what I asked for and when I asked for it to be repaired I was met with an unmoving rudeness. Would not go here if you like customer service or proper alterations.

spahh gurl

Love this place. I have been going here for years and I think the people are kind and patient. I have had clothing, drapery panels, uniforms and various things altered.
