REVIEWS OF Mi Linn's Dressmaking & Alteration IN Kingston

Mi Linn does very high quality work. She has done everything for me from simple hemming to redesign and even picked up a new zipper in Toronto for a Burberry coat. I always try on alterations before I take them home, and whenever necessary Mi Linn has happily tweaked things to perfection. Wouldn’t go to anyone else. Cash only.

Got three pair's of jeans hemmed up i dont think she did anything same length as I brought in just awful ????

Brandon Richardson

One woman show but dont let it deceive you. Dryer ate my khakis for goin into town, my only pair. She took one look and said no problem. Had a great sense of humor and said she'd have em ready whenever I needed and sure enough next afternoon the pants were ready. They look brand new and didnt lose any integrity in the elastic whatsoever despite having more damage than initially thought. Would definitely recommend. Cash only though. Attached is the before and after pic. ($16.95 after tax)

Altered my wedding lenghi and did an incredible job. She really listened and did exactly what I needed. I thought it was a bit expensive, but it was well worth it to have it done flawlessly for my wedding day.

Lilyanna Sullivan

Always great work.

The cost for the work is outrageous!! She charged 27$ to replace two buttons on a coat. Ridiculous!!!!

I had a bridesmaid dress that needed to be seriously altered. Somehow the store I ordered the dress through managed to order me a dress that was literally 6 sizes too large around my chest. I was nervous to take the dress anywhere to be altered because I knew how much work needed to be done. I can't praise this women enough for her incredible work! The dress was absolutely amazing once finished! It fit me perfectly both around the chest and the length! It wasn't a simple dress either as it had various layers. You never would have known it was altered as well. I can't thank her enough and will go back there for any and all alterations! Thank you!

Madeline Smolarz

The wonderful magic woman who works here did a beautiful job on a high quality vintage coat from Italy I brought in with a shredded inner liner along the hem where my shoes had been catching on it. She deconstructed the silk liner and shortened it so carefully that it looks like it was made that way. Immaculate work and on time for only $45.95, I almost couldn't believe it. Thank you Mi Linn, I'll be back!

Been taking all my stuff for alterations for over 15yrs. Price and quaity of work is excellent

Jeff Sturgis

Fair prices. Good quality work.

Ethan Fung

I got my suit jacket done and while the torso and back were fine, the arm length was not tailored correctly and it was too long. For 80 bucks I expected more polish and execution for the price.

Aniela Tolentino

My go-to tailor for last minute adjustments, one man show but still very fast and efficient. love her!

Stephen L

I brought my favourite shirt here to have a worn elbow patched and asked the tailor to hide it as much as she could by matching the colour. Instead, she used a patch that noticeably contrasts with the shirt and looks like a stain (see the attached photo). When I complained, she first argued that it was the right choice because other parts of the shirt are also dark blue, and then said that I should have brought my own fabric. She did not suggest that when I brought the shirt in, and she should have called me if she did not have a good match for the colour. Instead, she insisted that it looks good and charged me $16.95.

Dan G

Paid 160.00 to have suit pants altered and sleeves in suit coat taken up. She forget to let out the waist in pants - one of the key reasons for taking garments in. She did do a fairly good job on rest but price seemed steep for quantity of work done. Won't be returning.

Adrien Allard

Paid 160$ to hem and steam a two layer ball gown's skirt length only. One side (back left) was about 2 cm longer than the other. Expected better for this kind of price.
