This woman is amazing!!!! If I could give her 100 stars I would. I was out of town for a wedding and the zipper on my dress broke an hour before I needed to be there. I called several places and they all couldn’t help me last minute, thankfully one of the places I called recommended Maria’s place. I called Maria 20 min before she was closing told her my situation and she told me to come in right away. I got there with little hope, wishing for the best. She exceeded my expectations, she was honest about not being able to replace the zipper in such short notice but suggested to sew me into the dress. I said sure!!! I made it to the wedding a little late but wore my dress. Not only did I just get to wear my dress, she did such an amazing job that I was able dance and move around with no issues. Maria thank you so much for your kindness and patience. You are amazing!!!

Maria is incredible. Honestly, I don't even know where to start. I came to her with a wedding dress and a tight deadline - about a month - and she didn't even break a sweat making it happen. It was the easiest alteration process I have ever been through as well as the best. I didn't have to go endlessly because she was so precise to begin with, which I really appreciated. The alterations were PERFECT - the dress fit me like a glove. Since my wedding was outside the country, she even went out of her way to pack the dress and veil carefully for me to reduce wrinkling, creasing, etc. so that I could ship it - an offer made freely on her part, because I had never even thought to ask her for it! She is just so thoughtful and her attention to detail and her passion for what she does shine through in her work - from start to finish. I also love how genuine she was - she told me to make sure to bring pictures to show her and when I did she was excited to see them. It wasn't just lip service; she actually cared how things turned out. That is the sort of thing that creates customers for life, and it is just natural for her. On top of all that, you really can't beat the prices for what you get. I found the cost very affordable - honestly, a steal, considering what I got in return. I couldn't more highly recommend using Maria Cabrera for any alteration needs you have. She is just phenomenal.

Terrible experience, brought a gown for son's wedding there, she altered it, I went back for my fitting it was very tight She told me to come back she would let it out. I went back and it still pulled across my stomach. She told me to keep my money and go buy another dress, she was done with this dress and walked away. 4 Days before the wedding I am shopping for dress.

I took a dress that was too long for me to Maria. I thought it was going to be a huge fix, that she'd have to bring up the waist and repleat the skirt portion. Once Maria saw me in it she immediately recognized that it didn't fit properly in the shoulders. She pinned it up and it made such a difference! She also readjusted the neckline to accommodate the alterations made in the shoulders. She offered to have it done within just a few days, but I told her I didn't need it for a while so I picked it up a week later. The dress fits me perfectly now and you would never know it had work done! Fantastic work and she charged me a very reasonable price! Highly recommended for alterations!

I would have given her 5 stars because she was very friendly and my wedding dress came out perfectly in the end. However, when I arrived for my appointment to pick up my dress she had no record of me coming (even though I received multiple confirmation emails) and my dress wasn’t ready. It took her 10 minutes to even FIND my dress in the back. She then asked me to come back in a half hour, so I did, and had to wait another 45 minutes for my dress to be ready. In the end my dress was perfect and Maria gave me a discount off for the wait. I only complain because being a bride is stressful enough and being told your dress isn’t ready two weeks before your wedding day is not what you want to hear!

Going to Maria Cabrera’s for my wedding dress alterations was the BEST decision I made. I bought my wedding dress off the rack at a discount bridal store and it was three sizes too big. After two fittings with Maria the dress fit perfectly and looked beautiful! She is so thoughtful with her alterations and truly prides herself on making the best fitting wedding dress!! Her store is beautiful and she has lots of cute wedding items/dresses. Two days before the wedding I tried on my dress again and noticed it was very loose because I lost weight during the craziness of wedding planning. I called her and within 24 hours she completely fitted and altered my dress again. It fit like a glove for my wedding that weekend and I felt so beautiful thanks to Maria Cabrera’s Alterations! Maria is a miracle worker. She altered three dresses for me (too big in the bust, and too long), and they fit perfectly, and are so comfortable. She also made me comfortable while she was measuring, pinning, and checking the fit of my dresses. They were ready quickly, and they called to give me the option of picking them up early, which most places in my experience do not offer. I'll keep going back to get all of my clothes altered.

Maria and her staff are absolutely incredible! I brought her a suit that I thought just needed some minor adjustments, but told her I trusted her expert opinion to make whatever alterations she saw fit. Ultimately the suit needed to be resized altogether, and a little less than a month later I went back and was completely blown away! It was almost like a brand new suit, and as if she had made it specifically for me. She even shared some tips on future pieces I buy as to how to best gauge length, fit, etc. I could not be any more satisfied with her work, and would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone needing alterations done!

I brought in a bridesmaids dress and shoes to be altered for a wedding I was in. I was so worried that the shoes would not fit as I have to wear an AFO on my left foot. Maria added straps to my shoes and shortened my dress for me since I cannot wear heels. She was not only kind but extremely understanding and helpful with my unique situation. She adjusted the straps on the shoes and the dress until they fit perfectly! My request was time consuming but Maria never rushed me, and spent quality time on my pieces. When I first went for my fitting Maria made me feel so comfortable and I decided to go with her to do my alterations for my wedding. Covid happened soon after and we needed to push out our wedding she told me everything we discussed and signed on would still be the same when I needed to come back. When I finally went back to do my alterations I had just found out I was pregnant I let Maria know this and she said it was fine no problem she could work with me. I still felt very comfortable and paid for everything and went forward with my fittings. From here on out it was a nightmare, Maria was so unprofessional and unorganized she kept taking my dress in and out it never fit when I went in for my fittings and she started to blame me because I was pregnant even though I had only gained 5 pounds. I was on medication for hormones to help me keep my pregnancy but I weighed myself everyday to make sure I was not gaining to much weight. After my one fitting when she was late over an hour, unorganized, nothing was done on my dress and she had no idea about where my extra lace was that was ordered. She also had no idea my sister was there to pick up her own dress even though she had an appt scheduled and told her it was not done even though it was she just had the wrong name. My sister put the dress on the the cups were still in even though they were supposed to be taken out so Maria was upset and took them out. Once they were out the dress did not fit my sister right so she tried to talk to Maria but she got very defensive with my sister. She ended up not charging myself even though she tried to pay her. I had called to check on the lace and was told she would not be working with me anymore 3 weeks before my wedding because I was rude. I was nothing but nice the fitting before just concerned because of everything. She ended up agreeing to finish my dress but would not speak to me and let her manager do all the talking. The dress came out nice but was to big and in the sunlight my sleeves that she ordered were purple. My mother tried to pay for everything several times and they kept saying no. I would not recommend Maria to anyone else just because of how unprofessional she is. To respond to your post after me Maria, yes there is two sides to every story and I think you are pretty delusional about what happened but I will leave it at that. I did not write this to argue back and forth I just wrote a review on how I felt about everything. If someone wants to listen they can if not that is fine but unfortunately that was my experience. Also I have no idea what you are talking about with me being uncomfortable with my size I was pregnant and you told me to measure myself actually. I did not I just weighed myself to make sure I was being healthy for my pregnancy. I’m very comfortable thank you very much.

I went to Maria for my wedding in April 2018. When I had my first fitting my dress just needed to be made shorter. For my second fitting I had lost 40 lbs! So she now needed to take it in... for my final fitting I had lost an additional 5-10 lbs. We had talked about this and that this may happen. The dress fit perfectly. We added a beaded belt and it looked like it came with the dress! I tell everyone to go see Maria. Great customer service, and she makes you feel welcomed and a part of your big day! We were disappointed to say the least, especially after just now reading all the reviews. Our curtains were hemmed incorrectly and when we tried to explain to the owner about the discrepancies, she was rude and unprofessional, both on text and in person. It seems there was a misunderstanding with measurements, but to be fair, Maria lost the paper they were written on and then called us to take them again on the phone, so we suppose some got lost in translation. Instead of offering to help or redo, Maria was rude and unprofessional, and did nothing to assist. This is a real shame. We were new customers and have never experienced such bad customer service. We won't be going back.

We were under a very strict time constraint being that I live out of state and was only home for a limited amount of time before leaving for our wedding in Aruba. Maria was able to accommodate my needs wonderfully. The dress fit me perfectly and I was so happy with the results! In addition to my dress, she also did the alterations for multiple dresses for my sister and mother, along with my brother’s and father’s suits for the wedding. Everything was perfect. Since we were traveling for the wedding Maria packed up my dress and veil perfectly to prevent any wrinkling and so that it could be in a carryon suitcase safely with me on the flight. I highly recommend Maria!!!
