The store is one of a kind, it does not look like much on the outside but it's a whole different story on the inside. The first thing that hits you is the huge collection of different types and variety of cloth available. All your research hold off on that while you hear from the friendly staff, believe me they know their stuff and are there to guide you and break your shell of knowledge on suits or jackets you need. I would recommend them to anyone looking for authentic top quality cloth for custom made suits jackets shirts etc for both men and women. A small tip is to be patient, don't go there in a hurry and if you are on a budget let them know, they have a section where you can find affordable pieces.

Purchased my first custom suit with Raj and I can say I have nothing but good things to say about him. You can tell he really cares about his craft, and every suit he’s made for me fits like a glove to exactly how I want it. I’ve gotten to known Raj over the years — he’s more than a tailor to me now, he’s a great friend/mentor and has taught me a lot about life! And I will be forever grateful for that. If you’re looking for a great tailor, great quality suit and a great price.. look no further. He’ll make you look like a star!

Raj Singh is a one-of-a-kind master in the lost art of bespoke tailoring and a true treasure for the city of Toronto. I was referred to him by colleagues at CIBC World Markets, and have never turned back since the first suit he made for me (still turning heads some 6 years later!). I left Toronto 5 years ago, and still I get my suits and shirts exclusively from this gentleman...I have yet to find a better tailor and prices are very reasonable considering the Saville-row level of quality and service your receive. No need to ever get your face ripped off buying a suit from Harry Rosen or Holt Renfrew ever again! You can feel the amount of work and exquisite attention to detail in each handmade suit, as Raj makes the effort to get to know his clients so that he can create something that fits their style and body perfectly, and with quality fabrics that will last for years with proper care. Classic or fashion forward, Raj does both with ease (and definitely has some flair of his own!). He provides lifetime service for his craftwork. I truly feel like I look my best when I put on each of my Raj suits...and yet each is very different in its own right. I can't wait until I get my next prime ministerial-looking suit from this man. There's also nothing better than to support local small business in your hometown. But this is truly an experience I cannot recommend enough for anyone who cares about their business & formal attire and/or is in need of a fine wedding suit. Give Raj a visit and you too will never turn back!

Raj is my mentor and friend. He's been teaching me the art of tailoring for almost a year. I've witnessed his skill and experience up close in the shop, day in and day out. He's a comedic man with quirks and quarks, but at the heart of it he cares deeply for his customers and his craft.

Mr. Singh I would like to thank you for your kindness in donating custom made face masks to my family, friends and I. Having reviewed your recommendations, you are someone who is an Artist, with your canvas being the fabric from which you create outstanding artwork. The masks I received from you, are true reflections of your artistry denoting your incomparable attentiveness to details and minute finesse. I say this as someone who appreciates attention to details and love custom design "anything." Although this is a simple mask, you have excelled in your creation, I know this because, I had to open the tiny one that you made for my granddaughter - the elastic was too tight, and when I saw the technique that you applied to fusing the elastic together, I was astounded, you are truly a master crafts person - who loves sewing and take great pride in your work. I am humble by your greatness, in that, even something as monotonous as a face mask, you put your soul into it. God Bless you and may he always protect you, your family and business.

Absolutely loved working with Raj on a custom sports jacket he tailored for me. Perfect fit, amazing attention to detail, and genuine interest in wanting me to feel great in the blazer. That's what separates good tailors from great. Oh and he doesn't send the work to China to get done like many other overly expensive custom tailors in the city. All of it is done here in the GTA by seasoned vets in their craft (I had the opportunity to meet a few of them during the whole process). Would highly recommend Raj to anyone looking for high end tailored clothing.

Fantastic bespoke tailor for teens and men.

The singularly worst customer service experience I've ever had. I was looking for a new bespoke tailor and decided to check this place out. I ordered a navy blue wool overcoat for $750 and was told the fitting would be in a couple of weeks and that he would call me. I had to call myself to follow up on the fitting as I was not called for it. Finally, once the coat was finished I tried it on and noticed immediately that it was too tight in the arms and across the back, such that I would not be able to drive a car wearing the coat without breaking stitches. Rather than being helpful in wanting to make sure the coat was to my satisfaction, Raj repeatedly questioned why I wanted it looser and would provide no guidance on how he could alter it to make it work better for me. Finally I asked for the arms to be widened near the shoulders and he grudgingly agreed. I returned the next day to find the coat still far too tight across the top of the back for me to be comfortable in it. When I brought this up Raj began to argue with me about adjusting the coat to my satisfaction. I even offered to pay for his additional time to adjust the coat the way I wanted it, and yet he still insisted, while disparaging my clothing and my knowledge of tailored clothing. Finally he relented and agreed to let out the top of the back and i collected the coat the next day, it FINALLY fitting me the way I wanted. The notion of having to argue with Raj over doing what *I* wanted on a *custom tailored* coat being made *for me* that *I was paying for* simply beggars belief. Spend your money ANYWHERE else.

After much searching in Toronto for a tailor for my wedding suit, I came across Raj from a recommendation from the a Toronto fashion design/construction insider. Raj has been making bespoke suits for decades in Toronto, even serving the media industry in the city for some time, with a number of his suits appearing in TV and film. Your purchase from Raj includes multiple consults/fittings to get the perfect fit. Raj guides you through the entire process and walks you through steps you'd never think of, which I've seen missed at other "bespoke" tailors in the city. Come in with a good idea of what you want, or no idea at all, and Raj can get you a suit you'll love. ALL construction is done by Raj and his team in Toronto. There is zero outsourcing here. I loved the idea that local care and attention was put into what is a very intimate garment. I purchased a suit at a higher price point, and I appreciated that the money was paid towards Toronto's local craftspeople. On the suit itself, I had a two piece teal-blue suit made with Scabal fabric (debatably the highest-end cloth merchant in the world), though he offers an impressive range of different levels of material. We took 1 consult and 2 fittings and it fits FANTASTICALLY well. You know what they say about perfectly tailored suits: "Tight enough to show your form, loose enough to breakdance in." Since it was my wedding suit, Raj also documented some of the process in photos and videos along the way. Very cool to see the suit pieces drawn out in chalk before being cut and assembled. You won't get extra touches like this elsewhere. As far as being up to date on men's styles, Raj is focused on very classic and timeless looks, which we discussed for hours (do you know the difference between an English, French, and Italian tailored suit?). However, he's able to pull off much more "on trend" styles if that's what you're looking for. He has all the right source materials for you to peruse at his studio. Overall, I cannot recommend Raj's service more. I've done my research and used other tailors in the city, and Raj is at the top. Pro Tip: Raj actually has a second, less-advertised by-appointment location at First Canadian Place, right downtown, incase you need to be seen for fittings somewhere more convenient to downtown.

Videsh Singh

First class service. PRICES ARE WORTH THE EXPERIENCE. He pays attention to detail, has a great fashion sense. Over 30 years of experience. He made my wedding suit and it was a great experience and made me look like a million bucks. CUSTOM MADE SUIT, is worth it.

I've known Raj for years. He's a very honest and professional individual who made my experience an enjoyable one; for both myself and my family that came with me to offer their input. The quality of his work is second to none. I'm very pleased with both his services and the final piece! Highly recommended!

Paul Doig

I recently ordered three suits from Raj and was very happy with the product. His work was done properly with great attention to detail. I would recommend Raj for all of the your tailoring needs.

When getting a suit from Mr.Singh you are not just making a purchase you are singing up for an experience. Raj puts his effort, love and soul into each his pieces. He is the definition of hard work and perfection. I’ve had Raj design several suits for me and they have all turned out phenomenal. I highly suggest Mr.Singh to anybody that is aiming for a stellar suit fairly priced made with impeccable attention to detail.

Ron Bhulasy

Would not recommend. Quality is not worth the price. His prices are quite high and the quality doesn't justify the price. Shop around and you can save $$$.

Chris Bidul

What a complete joke! If I could give him 0/5 stars, I would. This man has no respect for his customers. He does a terrible job! Please spend your hard earned cash somewhere else.

I had an alternation done on my suit (coat and pant) from Mr. Raj Singh (the owner of this business) in October 2017. After 2 months (December 2017) when the job was completed, I wore my suit to a Christmas party and noticed the interior stitching was loose (on both the pant and coat). When I contacted Raj, he said he couldn't do anything about it as I did not mention it earlier. Seriously? I haven't even wore the suit after I picked it from him. I went to another tailor who did a significantly better job and charged almost half the price of what Raj Singh charged. People, please don't go here. I should've read the reviews from others before coming here. I only went to him because he's only steps away from my workplace.

Gordon Dhanver

Awful! Raj Singh (the tailor who works here) has provided me with the worst suit imaginable. Extremely ill-fitting - jacket impossible to move in yet falling down in the back, combined with balloon trousers. Despite this, he persisted in telling me that everything was looking perfect. What a joke - a bad one, though! I should've spent my $1400 somewhere else. Don't come here.

New Me

What an absolute pleasure meeting Raj. His professionalism and expertise is beyond measure. A true gentleman with a passion for his profession. The care and attention given by Raj in customizing a fantastic and unique suit was remarkable. Thank you Raj and team! It was a unforgettable experience!

David Athul

Not worth going here. You don't get what you pay for. Prices are expensive for his service and he rushes to finish the job. I wasn't happy with Raj's work and I should have gone somewhere else. Very unprofessional.

Raj is a excellent skilful meticulous bespoke tailor. Takes a great deal of pride and attention to his craft. I have had all my suits an pants and shirts skilfully designed and tailored by RAJ VERY SATISFIED with His work, I highly recommend stop by and consult with him . ????????

Faraz Qureshi

Amazing tailor with professional service .

I agree with the other reviews and i'm not one to write or read reviews at all but I just had to. I had some alterations done and it was a really poor job. I didn't say anything to him as he didn't seem the type to care. He took my measurements and he seemed really hurried by the whole process as his "time is money mentality" was getting in the way. I felt like I was taking away his precious time. Even while measuring me he kept going into the backroom to work on a jacket that he said a client was waiting on (very unprofessional) I think he's in the business to make more expensive custom suits so if you already have a suit that you're looking to get tailored do not waste your time with Raj and just take it elsewhere. If someone just cares about money and no customer service then they should not be in this type of business. Clearly he has no passion and its evident as soon as you walk into the door.

Raj is not a "bespoke tailor"...he is a "bad joke" tailor. He fitted my husband for a made to measure suit and it not only was riddled with mistakes, it fit terribly. We put in the order earlier this year and it took nearly a month and a half to make and the saddest thing is my husband had to keep calling Raj to follow up where as he should've been following up with us! It was the poorest quality suit I had ever seen. Buyer beware-- this is not a case of you get what you pay for (a cheap suit), but you get ripped off with poor customer service when he screws everything up. I don't know how people like this stay in business

Rashid Tiwari

Arminder Kang

Does pretty decent work but i find its too over priced for what you get. Much better tailors in the area. Wouldn't come back

Vishal Tiwari

Prices are higher than other bespoke tailors in the area and certainly do not reflect the quality and workmanship. I would rather just buy a made to measure suit. Buy a suit off the rack at winners and have alterations done by another tailor (have had much better) results this way. He is also not too friendly seems very business minded and doesn't seem to care too much. Just my 2 cents

Davinder Basi

Customer service was terrible, learn to appreciate your customers Raj and get rid of that unenthusiastic attitude you have. Raj was giving me attitude when I wanted to get my shirt altered and didnt listen to what my needs were. I went ahead with it anyways and the work done was terrible it looked like he rushed it. The seam wasn't even sewed back properly. NEVER GO HERE! You will regret it

Ethan M

Absolutely worst experience at Raj Singhs tailor shop. I went in to get a quote on how much alterations would cost and after I tried on the suit and he pinned it and gave me a ridiculously high price I told him that I wasnt interested in getting the suit altered and I couldn't believe it but he asked me to give him money for his time. I thought he was joking but he literally said you owe me $20 because he was busy working on a suit and I took maybe 10 minutes of his time. Never again will i step foot in this shop. This is bad business practice. Shame on Raj Singh and extremely poor customer service

Lisa Nguyen

They use a lot of cost cutting measures and shortcuts to finish off customers suits. Really poor quality in my opinion and you definitely dont get what you pay for .They say good labour isnt cheap and raj definitely isnt cheap but the price doea not justify the workmanship .I can almost guarantee you all that he will turn around and respond to this review with saying "this is a fake review". Judging by all his negative reviews his only response is i dont know this person or fake review. Stay far away from this tailor shop

Austin Mincone

The quality and experience with Raj is beyond compare. His knowledge and meticulousness when it comes to making suits not only sets him a part from other Bespoke tailors, but his caring nature for your suit and your experience makes it feel like you are getting a high end suit made from a friend you've know all your life. After having two suits already made, I can easily say I will be going back for a third! I would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a high caliber suit to check out Raj!

Tony Narim

The single worst and useless tailor in the GTA. Raj Singh is not only the most useless tailor in the GTA (and perhaps the entire world), but also the biggest cheater. I gave him 2 pants for hemming and one jacket for alteration. The jacket had loose stitching. When I told him about it, he began to argue with me and said that nothing was done wrong. He was accusing me of messing up my own jacket. Why in the world would I do that? This tailor looks for any shortcut to save his time & money. STAY AWAY FROM RAJ SINGH.

Lenny Julahm

I took a sports jacket for alteration to Raj. He took my measurements and said it would take 1 week for the jacket to be altered. Sure enough, one week later and it wasn't ready. Raj advised he was busy with other work (that's not my problem) and said it should be ready within 2 days. 2 days later, still wasn't ready and he promised it would be ready within 24 hours. 24 hours later, it was ready. However, the jacket was too tight and it wasn't fitting me properly. At that point, I was just plain mad and asked for a full refund. He refused to refund my money and said he will make it right if I give him another 2 to 3 days. I said "no"! All I wanted was to get my money back and go to another tailor. He then began to argue with me. I paid him $50 for the alteration and in the end, I had to take the jacket to another tailor who did a far better job in just one-day. I didn't receive the service I paid for. Raj, you are a thief and I hope someday karma gets you back. Never spend your hard earned money with this crook. Raj is extremely rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. I am of the opinion he has very poor time management skills. This incident occurred almost a year ago but I thought I'd write a review as I wore my sports jacket today. I have to reiterate, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO RAJ FOR ANY KIND OF WORK.

Luigi Rago

One of the worst tailors ever to deal with. Just recently he changed the price of his suits as they were starting at $249 and now he jacks up the price recently to $549. I had a deposit and he still increased the price. How unprofessional is that. Raj Singh is simply a cheater and I wouldnt recommend anyone to go into this shop.

Timothy Paul-Bamidele

I dont do reviews but I had to do one for this guy. Very poor service and so unenthusiastic! Don't waste your time visiting this place.

Raj Poonai

This place has a wide selection of the finest fabrics for any made to measure or custom made suits. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and proffessional. The prices are reasonable and the quality of clothing is exceptional. They have a made to measure promotion that’s remarkable. I definitely would recommend this bespoke tailor.

*********************************************************************** WARNING! THIS TAILOR IS A SCAM ARTIST. PLEASE STAY AWAY! *********************************************************************** Shame on this tailor! Raj and I came to an agreement of $1500 for a custom suit to be made in 2 to 3 weeks for my June prom. I left Raj a deposit of $100 cash. He calls me back 2 hours later and said that he'll need to charge $250 more because of the material and time required for the suit. I don't understand, I thought we came to an agreement on $1500 and now he wants $1750? This is the most dishonest person to deal with. He refused to refund my deposit. Rather, he said I can use this $100 as a credit towards any future services or purchases. I just lost $100 and there isn't much I can do about it. No way I will be going back to him. Is that $100 you kept worth this negative review, Raj? Based on your other feedbacks, I clearly see that you have bad and unethical business practices. One day karma will get back to you, Raj.

Greg Masai

I wasn't sure if Mr Singh closed down or what but I was away and when I came back I noticed the store front was closed. I had my suit for alterations and really needed it however he never left me a message informing me of the location change. Very inconvenient. He's also unprofessional in his feelings with people. I wasn't satisfied with the job and he is being unfair with me

Jaswal Sidhu

Not happy at all with the poor quality work done by Raj. Didnt have a pleasant experience and I shouldve gone somewhere else

James Petros

Was not impressed with Raj. Went in to get a suit altered. He put the pins in with the proposed changes it looked great. When I actually got the item back, it didn't fit the way it was supposed to when he did the initial consultation. The sleeves were still too long and so I had him adjust them again. He tried to convince me that they were fine, but honestly, I wasn't even sure he altered them in the first place. When I came to pick it up the second time on the agreed time, it took about 10 minutes of searching and lo and behold, the work had not been done yet. Raj told me to come back at the end of the day and he was able to finish it by then, but I hate coming back twice in one day. I should have taken a closer look at the pants, but did not at the time. The break was longer than it had been with the pins and get this, he turned a pair of flat-front pants into pleated pants!! I hate pleats! Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate!!!! He had even asked me during the consultation if I wanted pleats and I said "NO, Flat!" I didn't find this out until I had to wear the suit and it bothered me the whole night. All this, sleeve shortening, narrowing the coat, shortening the pant length, and supposedly tightening the pants up in the seat, cost me an arm and a leg!! He charges too much and has now compassion for new customers! Honestly it just seems like he wants to deal with his old Clientele. He really is unenthusiastic and Raj Singh should not be in this line of work period!

Steve Elliott

The quality of Raj's work is top notch. However, it is the finer details which separate an art from a trade, and the degree of fine detail Raj puts into his clothing will make your suit completely unique to you.

Paul Hecht

Quick and friendly service. Would recommend!!

Andrew Khov

I have recently purchased a suit from Raj Singh and I must say my new suit, his craft, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. This isn't easy for me to say since it took me months to contemplate leaving my previous tailor. I highly recommend Raj Singh, especially if you work on Bay St as he has considerable insight into what's being worn on the street by virtue of his client book. Will be seeing him soon enough.
