Small little shop but absolutely great. I would recommend this place to anybody for alterations. Jackets, pants, whatever. But they'll also tell you what they CAN'T do, which is worth a lot too. Rather than take something on and then do a bad job, they'll tell you. So that's appreciated.

This place is the BEST. I needed my wedding dress altered a few weeks before my wedding (short notice!). She was very professional, taking time to listen to my requests, asking questions, offering ideas. I tried on the dress once for the initial pinning, and then again 2 weeks later to make sure I was happy with the alterations. She also showed me different bustle styles so I could choose what I liked best. Upon pickup, I looked over everything and was very happy with the quality. The dress was even ready ahead of schedule, which was great. I really appreciated her patience with me, as I had a lot of questions. I would highly recommend this shop. Very limited services and misleading signage! I took two formal dresses and another item to be evaluated, with no rush on the timeline. Dresses one simple job one to be taken in. She said she couldn't do them. Both have beading and sequin so that was perhaps understandable as it would have been more work. However then presented a simple black ladies jumpsuit with normal fabric just to have the sides of the tube top taken in an inch each and she said she could take in one side?! When I pointed out that the neck tie straps are mounted in the middle of the top and that this would then leave them uncentered she said no. I asked why the other side couldn't also be taken in to make it even and it was because the zipper is located there. Really, if a tailor isn't able to remove a zipper, take in the fabric, and replace the zipper, how skilled can they be? Really disappointed that not even a simple straight line sewing job w/ zipper can be accommodated. And especially since the signage out front says that they do bridal dress and all types of work.

Joy and Dan are a true gem of a pair. Always a welcoming smile and prompt greeting at the door, ready to meet the measure of the trade. I've only ever gone in personally to have pants hemmed and I'm pleased to say that I am always relieved of my perfectionist nature and the fit is ALWAYS just right. Affordable- on time and made to fit for a great local tailor.
