They do the work proper and dont take short cuts like other places do. Ive brought work done from other places to have them correct it. End result is fantastic and looks like original .you cant even tell where or if the item has been altered in any way.

I have been going to stitch in time for years before they even moved to this location and I have never been dissatisfied! They hemmed my prom dress that had a lot of beading designs on the bottom and they made it look like nothing ever happened. They are very very good at what they do and I will always choose these guys over any other place, hands down!

Amazing and helpful. Ordered a dress that was too small over days of pregnancy. owner was able to tailor the dress perfectly to fit me on the date of my baby shower in a matter of days. he made everything perfect. the day of the shower they were closed and he opened just for me so he could fit my dress perfectly. I highly recommend and will not cry over a dress again because...he made it work.

I was looking for a place that can take in my shirts and pants/shorts and was worried about taking clothes that I paid a lot for somewhere where they might ruin them. I decided to try this place because of the amazing 5-star reviews, although I was skeptical that it was too good to be true. Good thing we went here. My daughter needed her dress altered for the same day. It was ready in less than two hours and the price was great too! Fantastic service! My wife and I have gone to Stitch In Time for a bunch of different needs. We've got zippers replaced, pants taken in, bras and swimwear adjusted and I got two suits tailored here! One of the suit pants I had turned into pleated shorts and they came back looking great! I'm a trendy guy (or so I hope) and they always nail the style, length and feel I'm looking for. Also they have great prices! Above all, they are just really sweet owners and I'll be going here for any and all of my alterations in the future!

WOW, JUST WOW! I've used their service before to sew my husband's winter coat twice, but because he ordered a size too small it kept ripping! I spent a lot of money on it so we didn't want it to go to waste. Stich in Time was able to make it a whole size larger!! You buy the material, (FabricLand is 5mins away) and they were able to open the seams and make it larger. It's literally a brand new jacket!! One that actually fits my husband this time. Ha!! Highly recommend!! The whole process took maybe a week, but we definitly wouldve waited longer! They def saved us lots of money, without having to purchase a new jacket!!

Not bad at all. Very good tailor and the suit fit almost perfect. Prices were fair and the timeframe was quick so they do live up to their name. My only issue is that my pants were too long after getting them hemmed. Otherwise everything was perfect as I had the sleeves shortened on my jacket and a bunch of other alterations with no complaints. I recommend this tailor.

Best tailors! very helpful and patient. I had a prom dress that was too small for me, but the problem was that it is a very stiff material and cant be pulled or stretched, to make things worse my prom was in 3 days! Hmida worked on my dress for countless hours with such a stubborn materiel and still having the patience to work with it; she was humbled and took any suggestions me or my mother had given to help make the dress work. Hamida somehow mange to fix my dress in such a short period of time and I got to look amazing on my prom night!

I have been to A Stitch in Time a few different occasions. It is run by a husband and wife who are very kind and have wonderful customer service. I have had a few things altered and purchased a mask at the beginning of covid that they made . I brought in a sweater that I wanted to have made adaptable for my father in law who has limited mobility. The owner had great suggestions and completed the alterations beautifully and it was ready when I came in to pick up. You can see that great care is taken when completing the work and the pride evident. I would highly recommend a Stitch in Time for all your alteration/tailoring and dry cleaning needs.

Had to check this place out based on the reviews and I was not disappointed! I dropped off 2 pairs of dress pants (to be hemmed and tapered) and 3 blazers (all sleeves to be adjusted). Everything was done to perfection and I was extremely pleased with the one pair of pants that was basically a 90's pair of baggy khakis that was altered to look custom fit. Their incredibly friendly and professional customer service is the icing on the cake and I will definitely be back!

Very happy with the service here! I needed a same day zipper repair for my winter coat and it was going to take up to 6 weeks to repair with manufacturer. Which was not going to work with the upcoming winter season. I called stitch in time in the morning and they reassured me they could do it the same day. I went in around 2:15 and was out by 2:25 with my winter coat zipper repaired in a flash. Thankful for this repair service!

Stitch in time is my go to place for alterations and cleaning. I live in Pickering but I make a point of going to Whitby because the workmanship and attention to detail at Stitch is Time is exceptional. Some examples are: My sons favorite pants which were beyond repair as far as I was concerned were restored to almost new. My daughter had hand knitted a designer jacket which required a zip. Stitch in Time took infinite care to ensure that the zip fitted perfectly and that none of the design features were impacted. The owners are dedicated to customer service. I have taken so many things there, from Jeans for hemming, dresses for major alteration, and even a suit for my son to wear to a wedding. No matter what it’s been the final result was really astounding to me. Went in there to get my wife's wedding dress altered. First time I've been and couldn't believe he had 31 5 star reviews on google. I was quoted $350 over the phone by a different store for the alterations...most people rip you off when they hear the word "wedding" Stich in time was very fair in their price, I won't say specifics because your cost will depend on the difficulty of the job but it was about 1/3rd of the price other people were suggesting, and much less than the more expensive shops. He told me what he guessed the price would be over the phone but that he would have to look at it to let me know. He took his time when we went in and spent maybe 45 minutes with us getting everything right to perform the alteration. He did the work within a few days and when we came in the alteration was done perfectly. I made a joke about how my wife should wrap it up and let the man get back to work, as she was admiring the dress, but he stopped me. He told me he loved seeing customers admire his work; the guy was genuinely brought pleasure by knowing that his workmanship was appreciated...and his work should be appreciated; it's fantastic. The dress hugged the body perfectly after 1 alteration and he managed to get into the inseam and minimize costs, which is not easy to do on a wedding dress. A small business that really cares about doing a good job. Unfortunately I don't know the owners name but he was a really nice guy and explained to me that he had previously been in manufacturing of high end dresses with his brother in Montreal before he moved here...I believe he had a location in Pickering before Whitby. Something like 30+ years experience in textiles from high end dresses, to leather jackets, to hockey equipment. The guy is a pro, don't think twice, go in and see him or his wife.

Absolutely amazing tailors and people overall. I had my wedding reception in less than a week and they were able to not only change the whole look of my dress, but do it in just 3 days!! There were some issues with trying to find the right material to match to make the changes, but that was all me, Hamida was patient and provided suggestions as to how I could change it to get close to what I wanted if I couldn't find a matching material. Once I was able to find the right material, she worked very closely (and tirelessly!!) with both myself and mom to give me exactly what I wanted- and it was absolutely perfect. Can't say enough good things, or send enough thanks, to convey how amazing they are. Would go back in a heartbeat for any other changes I may require in the future.

Back Bitting

I brought in several dresses to have trim added to them. They did a great job, you can't even tell the trim was an addition to the original dress. This cost me about 10-15 bux per unit. I also had 2 jean zippers replaced again a 10-15 bux cost per unit. They did a great job and again I can wear my pants!!!. I also had them add darts to the back of a dress shirt as it was too big. SEAMLESS job. I also required a pair of dress pants to me hemmed. Nailed. All in I was charged about 100$ for 1 - dress pant 1- dress shirt take in 3- dresses w/ trim 1- skirt w/ trim 2- zipper replacement
