I am so happy I chose Divine Bridal Alterations. I was nervous about finding a seamstress who can make my dress fit to my body and Jenn is an excellent choice. She takes her work personally and it shows in the way she puts effort into making sure her brides feel comfortable and stress free about their gowns. My dress has been a project, there is custom work that had to be done and Jenn made everything possible. Not only will Jenn meet with you once to drop off the dress and once to pick it up, she will meet with you multiple times in between to make sure the dress is perfect. I will post an update with a photo of my dress when it is completely finished at a later date. Thank you so much for all of your hard work Jenn I really appreciate it. :) Update: My wedding dress was absolutely perfect! I posted a couple of photos of it.

Jenn is AMAZING. She has altered all of my dresses since I was young and has always done an incredible job meeting all of my expectations and then some! She completely altered a part of my wedding dress I wasn't sure would be able to be fixed. But Jenn got it done and it looked perfect afterwards! Jenn came highly recommended by my mother in law, my "aunt-in-law" as well as the bridal store I purchased my dress from. Jenn did an absolutely fantastic job of altering my dress and she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She made sure my sister (maid of honour) knew exactly how to do up my dress and wouldn't let us leave until everything was done to my satisfaction and I was happy. Jenn is extremely friendly and really helps to calm the wedding jitters. All of my bridesmaids who needed altering came to Jenn and they were all extremely satisfied with the results and with the suggestions she had made. I highly recommend coming here if you have any kind of alterations that need to be done! I drove all the way from Markham because she came so highly recommended and I sure didn't regret it! Great experience! I have been here twice, the first time was for the alterations of my wedding dress. She did an absolutely amazing job and essentially had to redo the whole alteration the week before my wedding due to a change in weight and she didn't charge me anything extra. I went back to get a bridesmaid dress altered and again, she did a fantastic job. Would recommend this place to anybody.

Last year when I got my graduation dress from one love one dream bridal salon, I decided to go to the place below for alterations. I had never been there before and thought the seamstress was nice. Then at one of my appointments I got the dress fitted to me and she cut to much and barely fit. I had said at both appointments to keep the extra fabric cut off just in case if anything had happened but she ‘threw it out’. Another thing that went wrong was she tried to give me the dress the day of my graduation ceremony. I was so mad she threw out the fabric I had said I wanted to keep and made my dress almost to tight. I will not recommend if you want to keep leftover fabric or want a dress that just fits and not tight.

I went to Jen after being referred to her by some of my executive clientele . I purchased my dream wedding dress from an internationally renowned bridal store in Toronto but had read several warnings about getting alterations done at that store in toronto. When I first visited Jen at Divine, I didn't expect to find what I did. What she has is a beautiful chic boutique that looks like it belongs in Yorkville. Jen herself is such a lovely personality who proved herself to be extremely skilled at what she does. She went above and beyond with the service she provided to me that I insisted that all my bridesmaids and my mom have their alterations done by her. Jenn did an amazing job with my wedding dress!! I was so nervous after having to postpone my wedding from June to October that it wouldn’t fit by the time the new date rolled around, then I found out I was pregnant and the panic really set in haha. She did a great job reassuring me that we could make it work and made sure I had multiple fittings in the 2 weeks before the wedding incase any last minute changes needed to be made. Since my dress was zip-up and not corset based there isn’t a ton of wiggle room. My dress looked FANTASTIC when she was done with it!! It fit me like a glove, I have never felt that comfortable in a strapless dress before ever! I am so glad I chose to work with Jenn to have all my alterations done and will definitely being going back if I need any other alterations in the future!!

Amazing... Jenn was wonderful.... Our daughter came in with a dress from Kleinfeld's...beautiful but not quite fitting right. We came in with tears.......Jenn assessed and fixed the situation very quickly.....was very flexible with times for fittings... Nothing more to say than that she is an INCREDIBLY talented tailor. I came to her with an all lace wedding dress, with a very intricate lace pattern, and an almost 3 foot train with scalloping all the way around the bottom of the dress. It had to be shortened as I'm only 5'2, and I was freaking out before hand wondering how it could possibly be shortened with all the lace and scalloping. Turns out I didn't need to worry at all, she some how managed to remove some of the lace and all of the scalloping, and then trim the chiffon and add everything back on as if she hadn't even touched it. I mean, you really really couldn't tell. On my first fitting it already fit like a glove, didn't even need a second fitting. Again, extremely talented tailor. But on top of that she's an absolute pleasure to deal with, and her shop is also gorgeous, with lighting that makes you look like a queen in your dress!! I would highly recommend her shop to anyone looking for perfectly done tailoring.

I first went to Jenn to have my wedding dress altered. Her shop is very lovely and clean. The lighting in her shop is perfect for trying on your dresses. There is seating incase you're bringing friends or family to your appointment. The location is easy to find and access, and there is lots of parking. I was kindly greeted when I came in for my consult. She had me try on the dress and listened to what I wanted done. She told me she could do everything I asked and quoted me a fair price for it all (this included hemming, adjusting straps, a bustle, and opening up the back of my dress to form a deeper V). My wedding was to take place in Mexico and she guaranteed me that, if she had to, she would work up until I left to make it as perfect as possible, at no extra charge. Multiple fitting appointments happened between my consult and when I left for Mexico. At the end of it, my dress came out better than I imagined. Jenn did an excellent job and was true to her word on what she can do. She is a very talented seamstress! Would highly recommend using her services!

Jenn is amazing at what she does. I purchased my wedding dress from a pop up discount sale. Loved it when I first bought it but then I started to have regrets. There were a few things that I didn't love about it and made me feel a little self-conscious. I took it to Jenn to have the alterations done and she fixed everything that I didn't love about my dress, even the things I thought couldn't be fixed. After the final fitting, I took home my dream dress. She can truly work wonders with her skills. She is also very pleasant to work with and super honest about what can and can't be done to change a dress. I would highly recommend her to everyone.

I have a very intricately beaded bridesmaid dress that other places declined to even try to work with and Divine eased a stressful situation by not only beautifully hemming my dress (all by hand) but doing it within my short one-week timeframe until my friends wedding. While all of Jenn's reviews that I've read were positive, I'm sorry to say this was not my experience. A friend gave me her card, so I went in there feeling good. I made the appointment, went in, and Jenn told me her plan for my dress. That was no problem at all. She really, honestly seems to know her stuff. The issue I had was this. When I asked for a ballpark price, I was given an exorbitant number. Having been married once before, I was blown away as my first dress cost a fraction of what she was going to charge. I told Jenn that I would have to discuss it with my fiance. That's when she told me there was a $100 charge for the consultation. This was not mentioned when I made the appointment or walked through her door. There was no signage or indication of this fee on her website. Like a fool, I paid it as it would be applied towards my alterations. In the end, I came back and took my dress elsewhere to an extremely talented tailor who gave me a much more realistic rate. Buyer beware!
