Great place to shop for your kids reasonably priced - the quality is good for what you pay for. It's hard shopping around for 3 kids with all different sizes so this makes it quite easy to hit one spot for everyone! Good for families

The experience we had here was a bit aggravating, to say the least, as the staff largely ignored my friend and provided lack luster service when they did acknowledge us. We ended up spending about 700 dollars here despite the poor atmosphere and disappointing demeanor of the staff, due to it being one of the only affordable options for suits in Corner Brook. The attitude of the sales person left a lot to be desired as he was condesending and belittled us for asking questions regarding sizes and options. He spent a majority of his time standing behind the register staring at us while we were at the dressing room trying on the suits and shirts. It did become a bit busy at one point, but for the majority of our time in the store it was just our party, for which we were vastly under served for the amount of time and money spent at this establishment.

The first time we came to this store was to outfit the groom's side for our wedding and we're super happy with the service. We've been a few times (and a few lbs off of hubby) since and just went a few minutes ago. When the associate said "this is the big and tall side, you're looking for the other side" and it was such a HUGE BOOST for my husband. He's still coming to grips with the fact that he worked it off and kept it off. It was very reaffirming and cathartic. Thank you associate with the longish hair You really made his day!

I tried calling the store for a week to inquire about buying a grad suit. No one answered the phone and I knew it was open so I went in.. We stood there for over 10 minutes without ANY acknowledgment from the employee who was serving another customer. Walked back further into the store to hear other staff talking and joking in the back staff area. At that point I knew my business wasn't wanted. The store missed out on $500 in sales today.

The staff are nice.....the manager is a jerk. He was very rude and demeaning to his staff the 1st time we were there. Seems to be a big control freak. They messed up our order and I am due a refund but can only get it when the manager is on duty. The tuxedos were very nice that were provided by Freeman formal wear through the store.

I had an emergency with my suit for my daughters wedding. The dry cleaners ruined my jacket. I went in on Monday to begin the search for a new suit for the wedding on Saturday to walk my daughter down the isle. I have purchased from this store in Peterborough before. Well....Russell fixed me up with an amazing suit, tie and pocket hanky and he had it fitted for me by the end of the day. Wow, what a relief. It was a great experience. Thank you so much.

Tried to get shirts tailored. They did a terrible job, and manager wasn't very nice. The manager pinned the shirts where he would tailor them, but when trailoring was done by someone else, and there wasn't much change to the shirt. I asked them to tailor it again, and they also didn't make much difference. I spoke to the manager, said it doesn't fit the way he pinned it, and there wasn't much difference, and he got angry and completely brushed it aside. Seems like a jerk, who didn't understand tailoring and didn't want to address the problem. I had to take it to a different place (QuickSew downtown), and consulted directly with the person who is doing the tailoring, which was excellent. He told me benefits/drawbacks of darts, I decided to go ahead, and it fits incredibly well. DO NOT recommend Tip Top Tailors for customizing items!!!

Came out here on the tail end of a Black Friday weekend, and despite the limited selection remaining I was given expert, no-nonsense assistance. An instant 'no you need a short 42' appraisal was followed by a quick finger snap to call over another employee and prompt service. I ended up with a ridiculously ostentatious rich burgundy jacket and a huge smile on my face. Thank you, Tip Top Tailors.

Unable to tailor a suit properly to a very normal bodied man. Slightly big chest for my proportions and from what I can tell they didn't even take the suit in at all after I paid 36 extra for the tailoring. A solid extra 2 inches extra in the waist makes me look like a bowling ball. Will be taking the suit to a proper tailor to have this fixed. They use just out of high school staff, teach them the very basics, and assume that's good enough. For 400 dollars I expect craftsmanship.

Not the best Tip Top. At least half the store is Big & Tall (it's right on the sign out front), and what there is of other clothing is not a really good selection. The store in Guildford is much better stocked. Came here to buy a suit at the last minute in desperation, and found only one in the entire store that fit me. And even that I had to find myself. Staff did not know their inventory.

Went in looking for a few suits, blazers and shirts. The manager (Davna) was very helpful and took no time in assembling options for me to try. She was patient and attentive despite having to manage an otherwise busy store with other customers requiring her attention from time to time. We developed an excellent rapport and I very much appreciated her feedback on what looked good (and great!) and what didn't. All the tailoring was done on the spot while I was trying on other clothes and picking out some socks. All the shirts I selected were pressed while I continued shopping. A fun, friendly and productive experience. Highly recommended!

There is limited selection of larger sizes but I have gotten some good items at this store. Service is always good when I have gone. Only complaint is lack of larger sizes. There is no big and tall store in Kamloops. They woukd be wise to offer more larger sizes.

Bought a nice suit and pants there for a good price, needed alterations on the pants, they pinned it and charged me $35 for alterations. Week later came back to look at the pants, barely changed so I asked for alterations again, the tailor just drew lines with chalk and didn't even talk or get the right measurements. Come back and still not good enough, they then said if I got it any tighter it would rip but the place I wanted tighter was on the leg not the thigh. Came back once again and a different tailor was there said she knew what I wanted and I got charged for alterations again, last time I went and the only thing they tightened was the ankle and the whole leg was still loose, frustrated I just took it and went to a different store. Nice suits just very poor tailoring skills.

So my wife and I took my daughter's grad dress to be altered. This dress was purchased brand new. When we took my daughter in with us so the tailor could properly reduce the length by about an inch or so, he immediately started to complain in front of us and the manager about doing it. But took on the job anyway. A week later we picked the dress up and found when we got the dress home, which was covered in plastic, that the zipper area had been torn then tried to cover up the error with a very poor sewing job. Naturally we took the dress back to ask about this and what had happened. The manager naturally "did not know what happened" and he'd ask the tailor when he came in. 3 days later we got a call saying the tailor denied any wrong doing, which of course was a LIE!!! When my daughter and I went to pick the dress back up now for the second time, the manager naturally had left for the day. The tailor who was still there came out and again denied he did the damage. Which understandably would have been an accident. Whether he snagged his watch on it or anything else. Regardless he did the damage. When questioned, you could easily tell he was lying about the matter. The manager who was contacted by phone was now also defending the lie. In the end I insisted on getting my money back for the initial work. Which I got back. And again, this would prove their guilt,as no one would give back money if they hadn't actually did anything wrong. Very poor and shady practices. Would not recommend doing business here.

Went there today looking for a winter jacket and found the customer service non existent. We walked into the store and both sales associates looked at us and continued on with their conversation. No attempt to say hello or even how can we help you. A store that's suppose to be selling suits, formal wear and apparel was very untidy and cloths on the rack looked messy and unkept. Very dissappointed in with my experience with this store. On the other hand I was determined to find a jacket and we went to the Kenaston Blvd Tip Top store and Ryland ( Associate # 28294 ) was very helpful and I found a jacket with his help. We told him about our experience from the other store and he mentioned that he would speak with the store manager about our experience. I would not recommend this store to anyone who wants any sort of customer service but I would recommend the store on Keneston Blvd and ask for Ryland. I will post a review for that store as well a recommendation of 5 star rating.

Didn't ship an item from December 2018, it is now April 2019 and they're still haven't dealt with it. Customer service does not call back when you leave messages. Online support does not get back to you to resolve the issue. So if you're willing to purchase multiple items, and willing to roll the dice on which one won't show up for a waste of your money. Then use Tip Top Tailors. Tip Top Tailors, either send me the shirt, or the refund.

Purchased a suit earlier in the day, but decided on a lighter colour, returned it at 4:30 (store closes at 5:00), and the sales associate was very rude. Informed me that she had already closed her till, so I would have to wait a while for her to reopen it. It made me almost want to return the other items I bought there out of spite. We left my husband's suit in a hotel two hours away. I suggested we just buy a dress shirt and pants. Tip Top had both on clearance! The guys working there were friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that the sizes for the clearance shirts were limited, but I guess you can't expect too much from the clearance section.

My initial experience of this store was excellent! Super friendly people working there and great selection; however, things went a little downhill when I tried to return an item. When I brought an item in without a tag I was told I could not return it. Upon showing them the receipt (a receipt bearing no evidence of this claim about the tag) they told me I should have read the policies on their website (my bad... is it just me who doesn't make it common practice to read these?). Ultimately, I was told to call the customer support line. It was a frustrating, humiliating experience that I really hope you don't have to go through. Before you shop there, make sure you check out the policies (just in case).

I showed up right at opening with a simple request: "I have to be at a wedding in Abbotsford in 45 minutes, and I have nothing to wear" Not only did they find me a wonderful outfit, which happened to be on 50% off, but they find a wonderful second one too. Went in for rental measurements in June for a wedding in August. They were supposed to be forwarded to Nanaimo. 6 weeks later I was informed by Nanaimo that they were never sent. I went back in to get remeasured and was informed by the two employees that neither of them were trained to take measurements. This location is very poorly managed and their staff are poorly trained, how can you work at a menswear store/tailor and not be trained to measure? That seems like day 1 orientation stuff, and losing/not forwarding my measurements for 6 weeks is unbelievably unprofessional. I ended up having to get measured at Guildford Tip Top (where the service was much better). I will not be returning to this store in the future I will use Guildford Tip Top or Moores.

Just had the best experience buying a suit for our son for his grad. We walked in and were greeted pretty quickly. The associate mike, asked if we just wanted to look around first or did we need his assistance right away. I loved that because he wasn’t pushy at all but willing to help if needed. He got an idea of what he thought our son would like and got him to try it on. He was very helpful and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed his customer service. And we bought the suit! Incompetent staff, poor management, and seriously lacking communication skills. We had to drive back the night before the wedding, leave the rehearsal early because of incorrect measurement. We weren't offered an apology, compensation, or any kind of remedy. Not one suit was measured correctly. Went through head office in the following weeks, and they did nothing but say they were sorry, but they delivered on time so there was nothing they could do. Do not recommend. The groom got his suit from Moore's and had a much better experience, no issues at Moore's what so ever.

Great place with great staff. They are very helpful. They no longer do suit rentals for weddings, but they do however do suit discounts for wedding parties. I not only get to keep the suit for my friends wedding, but I also saved money! If you buy only the suit you'll pay $250 plus tax per person. I paid well over that for a rental in the past at another location.

And for a guy that doesn't know a single thing about suite's. the two of them where vary professional in helping me make alterations and ultimately making me look dam good for buddy's wedding. I had some pretty poor alterations done on about 6 pairs of suit pants. So bad that they split open and I had to take them to another location where I moved to not only be fixed, but re tailored as the fit was pretty bad. This is reflective of the seamstress who did the work - absolutely awful. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the customer service through this has been very good. Russell has been the one arranging things for me and he has been excellent in his communication and professionalism. They have great staff, but their seamstress should be fired.

Went in looking for shirts for my groomsmen which are smaller guys and told the man that i had already got my stuff from george richards so im good. The man working seemed to still go out of his way after that comment to tell me i was too large for his store. He then went on to bash tip top for being too expensive which is extremly unprofessional in my opinion. And the worst part is i can almost garuntee that if tip top replies to this review it will be the same copy paste response that has been posted to every bad review.

Recently rented a suit for my husband for our wedding our experience went from 1 star to 5. He originally got his measurements done in Brampton and we had it delivered to the Kingston location. It came 3 days before the wedding and the measurements were totally off. The suit looked 2 sizes too big and we were not happy. My husband wanted to just buy a suit and was super upset and frustrated but the staff at the Kingston location were amazing! Brian was able to resize him and get a new rental in the next day and another lady (didn't get her name) she was blonde and full of energy. She was there the next day to help us try everything on and made all of our stress go away. They allowed us extra time to bring the rental back because of all the stress we went through. I would 100% recommend the Kingston location to anyone looking for a rental for any occasion.

Came in 5 hours before a wedding I had to go to. I dont know the name of the young guy helping me but he took my measurements and found me a suit that fit, got pants altered, shirt pressed and even tied my tie for me. These other folks must have a stick up their ass because I saw all sale associates out on the floor willing to help. If youre complaining about it being big and tall well thats silly because it says that's what it is on the damn sign. Keep up the good work guys!

I see that there are some bad reviews here and I personally believe that it is definately not the case here. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this store and it's staff. I have purchased many items from them and received top notch service. Jack the manager is very knowledgeable and is very respectful towards clients. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and answers all of my questions. His staff are well trained and know what they are talking about and are always helpful and courteous, its a joy to shop here and I hate shopping. I recently had an issue with some shirts I had purchased and Jack the manager handled it with class and made things right. Keshia was very knowledgable and helpful when my husband and groomsman came to get fitted for their tuxes. She was accommodating and supportive when I called last minute to see if a last minute pick up change would be possible for one of my groomsman. Entirely unrelated to her, one of the groomsman was sized incorrectly by another associate which caused some problems. To the company's credit, they rush ordered a new jacket and vest. In the end the guys ended up looking great, especially my husband whose tux fit as if it was tailor made for him specifically. Huge thank you to Keshia specifically who was a really big highlight to our experience. I would recommend asking for her if you are thinking of renting from tip top Kingston. She is fabulous and creates a memorable experience.

Our first experience with Tip Top Tailors in Winnipeg Manitoba was a great one. The sales person was awesome and we ended up buying a high end suit with tie shirt and belt. Unfortunately our next visit was not so good. We were getting married and went to Tip top in Nanaimo where we bought 3 dress shirts (one for groom, one for best man and one for my son who was giving me away) The sales girl was awesome but unfortunately gave us one shirt the wrong size which we didn't notice until we got home to Kamloops. We still had time before the wedding to exchange so we looked up the closest Tip Top and made our two hour trek to Kelowna. The store gave us the right size but it still neede to be altered so the seamstress they had on messured my husband and said no worries we'll send it to you on the bus no problem. When we received the shirtn(COD) the sleeves were about 3 inches too short and the shirt still needed to be taken in. When we called the manager at the store he was trying to blame us even though his seamstress took the mesurements. So once again we had time running out before our wedding. He sent us a new shirt which we were going to have to get altered here as they didn't have time. We received the shirt 3 days before our wedding and over christmas holidays. We ended up going to Moores and they said they'd do there best to have it done for us the following afternoon. It was done 50.00 cheaper than what Tip Top originally wanted to charge us for there same alteration. When we asked the manager about all our costs for there screw up he didn't want to do anything for us. Will we deal with Tip Top again becasue of him, no!!!! Moores will be the store we buy from I work in customer service and know what it takes to go above and beyond and unfortunately Kelowna Tip Top has now tainted our belief in there store. You failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have very little experience purchasing suits. The time had come to find one for my daughter's wedding and I walked I to your store. At once the attendant, Bill came over and offered assistance. Once I explained the situation he introduced me to ," the suit buying experience". I told him my sizes and he quickly corrected me. He knew immediately my size and what looked good. I've always liked this store, it has a good selection of men's dress and casual clothing and I've never found it very expensive compared to some of the other clothing stores in town. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, especially the two gentlemen that have been there for decades. They always say hi and you never feel ignored, even when you're just browsing. When I recently went in there shopping for Father's Day the store had just been renovated as well, looks great!
