A couple of friends recommended Suits by Curtis Eliot and when it came time to get a new suit for my wedding, I booked an appointment. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Getting to customize the style, fabric, buttons, etc may seem daunting but the staff will provide great suggestions. The suit was ordered and within 4 weeks it arrived measured to my fit. Putting this custom suit, it immediately surpassed my already high expectations. I highly recommend Suits by Curtis Eliot and I look forward to going through the creative process for my next suit.

These guys are supposed to be the specialists and experts in suit making. I went to them at their Edmonton location sometime 1st week of February 2020 to order a suit for my son. Appointment 1: Nana Kwame was the consultant. Measurements were taken and things went well. The suit was ordered at a cost of $830. Despite the concerns in delay in delivery due to COVID situation in China, we got the email informing us to set up an appointment for try-out on March 3rd. Appointment 2: We went for the first fitting try-out so excited as it was my son’s first custom made suit. Except for the vest, everything was a disaster. Every single basic measurements of that order were way off to the short side. Detail below: - My son is 17 years old, a skinny person. The pants were so tight that he couldn’t even pull it up. When he did it with utmost difficulty, pants’ length was at least 3 inches short from where it should be, - Shirt was made so tight and the sleeve length was way above the wrist, - Story of the Jacket sleeve wasn’t good either. Again, so short, way above the wrist. We are talking about just the basic measurements here and we were utterly disappointed. Limrah was the guy who helped us with fitting, and I could watch the frustration on his face. His comment was, “ he can’t wear this, we will try to fix it, there’s only so much we could do depending on the slack available. We are such a company that if it’s bad we will just make you a new one”. Re-measurements taken and we were sent home. COVID was at its full swing and we didn’t hear from them until I called wondering the status mid of June. A guy named Sean picked up the phone looked up and said your suit is ready. Set up the appoint for that weekend. Appointment 3: Went there and Sean himself attended us. Following was the result of the 2nd fixing: - Pants looked just ok (accepted. though expected a slightly loose fit as my son is skinny), - Shirt sleeve still bad not satisfactory at all (I believe that’s all they could do as no more slack available), - Jacket sleeves were still not at where it should be, at-least an inch and a half above the upper end of the wrist (Again, I believe that’s all they could as there wasn’t enough slack to fix) We were sent home promising to fix (In Sean’s terms, these are all the process of alterations in making a suit. For me, it was not an alteration but a desperate attempt to fix the screw-up in the initial basic measurements inputted into the computer (Nana took the measurements and inputted all those numbers into the computer at once from his memory at the end. As well, he boasted about his memory and number skills to us. By the way, I’m a Chartered Professional Accountant and I know how easily people make mistakes with inputting numbers). Two weeks passed, nothing heard again, so I called to check in. Sean answered and said, “since you weren’t happy with the sleeve length of the suit, we are doing a complete re-do of the sleeves and it should be ready in 2 weeks”. Appointment set on July 25, 2020. Appointment 4: Went there for the fourth time and Sean attended us again. Following was the result of 3rd fixing: - Jacket sleeves looked better, but the length is all the way down to the knuckles, - Shirt sleeves still not much improvement, still above the upper part of the wrist, Noticing this, I asked Sean if anything could be done to lengthen the shirt sleeves. Following was his legendary response: “No, it was all perfect last time and you were the one wanted to lengthen the jacket sleeves” After five months of waiting, now, my son ended up with lousy first ever custom-made suit with jacket sleeves all the way down to knuckles and shirt sleeves hidden above the wrist. Is this the way how shirt sleeves and jacket sleeves should look? I have a dozen of them, none of them look like the one you did for my son, Mr. Sean. Had a terrible experience and money down the drain

The process was fun and painless, lots of options to really customize the look, keep it downlow professional or crank it up and be bold! I of course did both. The suits took about 3 weeks to arrive, and on the first fitting, everything was perfect. Pants where hemmed to the right length, jack fit like a glove. So far very, very happy with the price paid and the quality of suit.

I received 2 shirts as a gift. She booked the appointment a month before a wedding so that we'd receive the shirts in time. We were told that the shirts would take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Unfortunately, we didn't hear from the guys at the shop in that time period. We had to reach out to find out what was going on. They told us that there were issues with customs. Communication could have been better. When the shirts arrived, they were amazing! Jared (I believe that was his name), made up for the delay on their end by throwing in an extra shirt for free. They make you feel really welcome at the shop and are knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is the communication, but as I said, they definitely redeemed themselves.

If you need a suit, go here. You won't be disappointed. Fit, quality, and experience are unmatched anywhere else in Edmonton. I had my first appointment with Jared in mid April where he took my measurements and helped me design a suit. You choose basically everything - fabric, collar felt, liner, buttons, and the list goes on. Throughout the design process, where I was unsure about something, Jared gave me a couple of recommendations and explained how each option would impact the overall look of the suit. Less than three weeks later, the suit came in. I had my fitting appointment and the suit was basically perfect. One minor alteration that is barely even noticeable. I'll be coming back for a sport coat and some chinos this summer.

Horrbile execution on a great buisness plan. The groom and myself had come in 6 months prior to the wedding and had to come in 6 more times for refitting, they even brought my suit in in the wrong color, only recieved the suits days before the wedding. Guys are friendly ,great atmosphere but was very stressful for the groom cutting it that close to his big day. We were also told that we would be contacted after the fact to come in for a complimentary fitting of a pair of pants or a custom shirt to make up for the sour taste left with us after but were never contacted .

I think for a first time custom suit session more than one hour is needed. There should be that option as it is easy to be overwhelmed with all the choices. These guys are awesome! Decided to give them a shot after being referred to them for their top notch professional approach from a few of my co-workers. I walked in on a Thursday after work and was greeted by Jared, he explained me their process and how they custom tailor their suits with a number of different measurements that most tailor's don't. My body is a bit off in the arms and the shoulders but Jared made sure to measure each part separately for a complete custom Fit. We sat down for about an hour and half and picked out different fabrics and jacket styles for my Big Day. They have a ton of different styles to try out to find the perfect suit, and a ton of different inside liners and buttons to truly tailor it to anyone's liking. The suit was here within 3-4 weeks and I was told to come in for a final fitting in case there was a need for some minor alterations. There was no need for the alterations as the suit fit every part of my body Perfect. Big shout out to Jared, Nana and Ritchie for all of their help throughout the process, these guys are easy to get ahold of and always respond quick to emails. Thanks for hookin me up boys! I will definitely be back

Rich took my money in turn for 9 pairs of pants and shirts for my WEDDING. Half of my groomsmans pants and shirts were a horrible fit and my shirt never even showed up. Yes the grooms shirt never showed up. Not a phone call to explain or email and won’t even respond to my email. If I could put zero stars I would. I still don’t have a shirt which is technically theft. Don’t buy from these clowns.

Was ready to purchase a suit for our wedding and was really hoping to get things ordered on the same initial visit. Unfortunately customer service was extremely unwelcoming. After looking through color swatches for about 10 minutes with little help, we asked if we could bring the swatch just a few steps out the store to see it in natural lighting. The salesman threatened that if we chose to do that, we would lose the privilege of options for customizations because we were running out of time and that another customer was coming. We spent a total of 15 minutes there and left. We understand that appointments are 1 hour, but please also value your customers' time and business in return. Oh, and he wasn't wearing a mask or any PPE.

Bought 5 suits here for myself and my groomsmen. As a result of having my wedding postponed due to the pandemic, my groomsmen have only recently gone ahead to pick up their suits, as our wedding date is now set for late this coming summer. Extremely disappointed, as one of the staff we were dealing with let myself and my groomsman know that they wouldn't be willing to cover alterations to a suit that's being worn (and I quote) "more than a year away from now". I was told that if they were to cover these alterations for "every customer walking through the door", they wouldn't survive as a business. A) The wedding is 8 months away -- covering ONE alteration for a custom made suit on which we spent considerable money on isn't only standard, but expected when shopping at a retailer that advertises high-end services. B) If retaining clientele at any point in your professional / business ventures, much less during a pandemic, is in any way a priority of yours, then you would do anything and everything you can to do so. Altering a suit ONE TIME, is nowhere even close to going above and beyond in this regard, and your unwillingness to do so has and will result in the loss of future profit on your end. I hope this review shines a light on what was an unfortunate example of both lack of professionalism, and a complete disregard for client service and satisfaction. If we had been treated as more than just "every customer walking through the door", I would have considered our service on par with what we paid for. Unfortunately, this was and is not the case, and these customers that were once excited to walk through your doors and into your business, will now be going elsewhere. Not only for the one time alteration that, again, is standard and expected, but for all of our future business as well.

Bad experience. Took over a month to get my suit back after I was told it would take two weeks. They gave me a quote on the price but when I went to pick up my suit it was more. Called nurmerous times and they said they would call me back which they didn’t. Alterations wasn’t even to my liking. Thought it would be good cause of all the reviews. Won’t be back ever again.
