Extremely rude and overpriced. Brought in an $80 to simply get the sides taken in and was charged $100. When I asked to try the dress on before leaving all I got was an eye roll. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Quality of work is awful and the owner is very rude. My mother took her MOTB dress in to be altered, when she picked it up, it was terrible and didn't fit correctly. The owner tried to make excuses for the substandard tailoring, and wanted to charge more to fix their own bad work. Very unprofessional. Now we have to take her dress somewhere else and hope that Martha's didn't screw it up beyond repair. I dont think they know how to do anything other than a basic hem, and I wouldn't even let them do that, because of their terrible customer service.

Way overpriced, even charged for using a credit card. Wish I had gone somewhere else to get my dress hemmed. Was almost the same price as the initial cost of the dress. Not worth it.

The Original Owers of Marth’s Tailoring who were very pleasant to deal with have since Sold their Business to a lady named Valorie who is Very RUDE and HARSH!! The only reason I used Martha’s this time was because of the sweet, caring and sincere ladies in the past. BUT I will Never Set foot in Martha’s Tailoring again. My family and I will not return to that shop ever!!

I will never return to Martha's Tailoring for anything the customer service sucks. When you are in business for yourself thats great but you must be nice to your customers. She has altered things before for me but it was only easy things like making my dress shorter. I dropped off a jumpsuit to her the only thing i needed done was the back by the zipper it was poking out. She stated she needed to take the material out and make it shorter since the jumpsuit looked like it was for a taller person.So the only thing she would be doing is the upper half I came for my fitting the next day the panta had been taken up so far I could feel it all the way up in my crotch I advised her to let it back out some. This was her error the crotch is still too high and she took the sides of the jumpsuit in and made it tighter her alterations are really off. This jumpsuit was 85 dollars for someone to just mess it up. Then she told me it would be $50 when I dropped it off then when its te to pick up she said 70 and that she charged because she had to let the crotch back out this was her error not mine she was rude when I asked why and very nonchalant. Now i have a jumper that I cant even sit down in because the crotch is too high all because I need the zipper redone ..smh

I should probably write four separate reviews as we have used Martha's alterations four separate times over the past three months. My daughter and several of her friends were married this Fall. Not only did Martha's do the alterations on my daughter's wedding gown but they also altered two bridesmaids dresses that my daughter had to wear, along with one bridesmaid dress that we had to pay to have altered for a friend of hers who stepped into to replace a bridesmaid who could not be in my daughter's wedding. The ladies at Martha's were extremely friendly and professional and VERY reasonable each and every time we used them. They were very happy to accommodate us in having one of the dresses ready in less than a week's time! I recommend them highly!

Came in to get a formal gown hemmed, and an inch or two taken off the bottom. Did not get anything else done or the bodice brought it, just the dress shortened. Two stars because she was able to get the job done decently. No more stars because service was atrocious. I called 15 minutes before to see if I could get a quote and was told I needed to bring in the dress to get it looked at before she can give a quote, fair enough. I also understand that tailoring services vary place to place as far as pricing which is why I asked for a quote to begin with. Came in and said I had just called about getting my dress altered and was waved off to try it on in the dressing room. When I walked out the lady in the front with a Russian accent had me stand and she measured with a white chalk-y spray gun about how much to hem off, which took a total of 5 minutes. Took off the dress and came back to the front where she was writing up a ticket. I asked her how much it would be, and she still wasn't able to give me a direct answer until i kept insisting until she said it would be about $50. I am fairly new at getting things tailored, so if you are like myself I would advise about being firm about getting prices up front before she does anything at all. When I asked her if could take my dress and come back to see if I could it done anywhere else she would not give me my dress back and told me she had already 'serviced me and used up her time by giving me her service marking the dress' and insisted on not giving me my dress back. She said that I should have asked her before about the price, with which I responded and told her that I mentioned that I just called when I came in. She just shrugged her shoulders. Would not recommend this establishment.

They do good work at a reasonable price in my experience. I have had a men's Billy Reid suit and Eidos jacket altered here. All the work was done before the estimated time. They are the only alterations shop in the area with a clear website that tells the pricing upfront which is a plus also.

Jos A Bank messed up my pant delivery for a wedding and I was unable to use their tailor service, but Martha's came through in a big way. I was told there was a 2 week wait with Jos A Bank and their recommended 3rd party tailor, but I was able to get into Martha's and get a next day alteration very easily, and the price for a rush overnight job at Martha's was only a few bucks more than the service with Jos A Bank. Will definitely use again if any tailoring needs arise.

My mother and I took my wedding dress to Martha’s Tailoring to get it altered for my wedding. I needed it taken in and wanted a lace jacket to be sewn into the dress and a bustle for after the ceremony. After getting into my dress, the owner pricked her finger on one of the pins and got a small spot of blood on my dress. I wasn’t happy, but I understand things happen. However, with her hand still bleeding she continued to touch my dress, getting more blood on it. My mother then asked her to please put on a band-aid before she continued touching the dress, to which she replied “I’ll get it out with my spit. Did you know that spit is how you get out blood?”. This is my WEDDING dress she is talking about spitting on! I don’t care if that is how you get out blood, I do not want some lady’s spit all over the most expensive item of clothing I will mostly likely ever wear. She was so nonchalant about the whole incident. She still did not put on a band-aid and continued messing with the dress. She was not able to pin the dress for alterations and kept complaining about how thick the material was. This kinda scared me so I asked her if she had experience working with dresses like this and she said she did, however I did not have a lot of faith in her skill. My mom was shocked and asked me if I really wanted to leave my dress here. She also told me later that as I was getting into my dress and they were lacing me up, the seamstress was stepping all over the back of my dress. Initially I did leave the dress, because I assumed anyone could take in a dress and I could always take it somewhere else for the remaining alterations. However after leaving and talking to my fiancé and my mother again, I decided against it. My mother went back and got the dress before any alterations were started. I just think for a special item like a wedding dress or any other special occasion, you would want someone to respect your clothing item. I did not feel like she cared that much about my dress and I would never leave something with her to be altered, because if she would do that with me there, what does she do when customers aren’t around?

Absolutely terrible service. I have never seen a business be so rude to customers. My mom and I were asking simple questions about getting a dress altered and we never got answers, only rude remarks and eye rolling. We immediately left and I would never recommend.
