She went above & beyond my every expectation. They took care of me like I was a part of their family. Every thing I wanted, they had done for me. She even went out of her way to go to Toronto to pick up more lace when I needed it. Everyone there treated me so well and helped to make my wedding day even more perfect than I could ever imagine. My dress turned out PERFECT- there was not one thing I would have changed. I had my whole family go there for their alterations as well, and they were all thrilled with their results. I love the whole team at Vlastas and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for anything as simple as a rip in their t-shirt to something as drastic as having their wedding dress made. Vlasta is by far the best person in this industry. I have moved from Hamilton to Halifax and Halifax to Ottawa, but I continue to use her services whenever I fly into Hamilton. Her pricing is incredible and her attention to detail is second to none. Her group is the only business I will let do work on my clothing because I can trust their judgment with not only expensive clothing, but also favourite articles of clothing. Had an awful experience dealing with her ... She's very rude and unprofessional ... Walked all over my wedding dress in her ugg boots during my first fitting fast forward 3 months I had to call her to see if my dress was ready because she couldn't be bothered to notify me then when I came to pick it up I was told to dig through racks of dresses to find it and had to take someone else's protective bag for it because mine was missing not only that she told she steamed my dress but when I picked it up it was extremely wrinkled, dirty and had hair all along the bottom of it ... I'm still in disbelief with how horrible the service was.

I was told to go in for a fitting and my coat had already been cut and sized tooooo small, it was too late to fix! My heart sunk to my stomach, She said I had asked for a tight fit for my brand new winter coat. (she should make notes on receipts for clients to be accurate). She must have been talking about someone else, not me!!. I never ever wear my coats tight!! One sleeve was hemmed the wrong way. My new coat is bascically ruined and sized wrong! She basically altered it the way she wanted not what the customer specified, I don't think she was paying much attention to my requests when I was talking to her....

Also I have to mention what a great business woman Vlasta is, I needed some emergency alterations done on my dress the day before the wedding (due to some weight gain) Vlasta stayed after hours on a Saturday to alter my dress. You wouldn't know it right away when you walk in buy honestly this place is a hidden gem! The owner is very sweet and friendly, the service is excellent and pricing is the best anywhere! You may not get a price or deadline when you drop off your stuff but rest assured that you will get everything taken care of, and for the best price. My first time here I brought my wedding suit to be adjusted and I asked how much and when it would be ready since I needed it in a week or so. I didn't get a solid answer on the price and was told to come by next Thursday which left me feeling nervous and I worried a lot. But when I came to pick it up, it was all done and ready and the price made me feel like the lady in the Ikea commercial haha. I have since brought many items for repairs and I never worry about timeframe or price when I drop it off, because I know it's going to get done properly and for the absolute best possible price around!

My granddaughter's winter coat zipper broke last night....it was a high of minus 16 today. Took the coat in to Vlastas, just hoping she could do something soon. We'll, five minutes later coat was fixed, and at a nominal charge. You could see they were all busy, but took the time to help out in a rather urgent situation. I had a scarf that needed a hem repair. It is a very delicate fabric - silk and linen. Vlasta's assistant did the hem. Her work was impeccable. The thread she used matched my scarf EXACTLY and she did a lovely, tiny little hem as the cloth is very light. To look at it, you couldn't possibly tell that it had been repaired at all. I'm very pleased with the work and the price was absolutely reasonable. I would recommend Vlasta's to anyone wanting work done on a delicate fabric.

Then topped it off by making the perfect tea length dress. Then hemmed mother of the bride dress and all on a great price...great work and short timeline. I tried telling her that it was how I wanted my dress. She rolled her eyes , scoffed and tossed my dress on the floor and yelled at me to go elsewhere because she wasn't going to be able to help me.
