DO NOT USE THIS TAILOR SHOP. I brought in a bridesmaid dress to be altered - my timeline was tight as the dress had arrived shortly before the wedding. The dress was to be fitted at the top to the waist below which it was flowy, but it was too big on me from the waist up. When I went in I tried on the dress for the woman working the desk and she said they could fix the top by taking in the shoulders at the top as the torso was too long. Knowing nothing about tailoring I accepted that this would make the dress fit me. They said it would take 10 DAYS to do that one alteration (quite a long time in my experience as any alterations I have gotten in the past take 1-3 days). They charged $65. When I got the dress back it was right before the wedding so I did not have time to get it fixed before (since it took so long). The dress still did not fit me and it honestly looked to me like nothing had been changed at all. So I got a dress that didn't fit me the same as before, late, for $65, that I would have to wear as is for the wedding. They advised that if anything was wrong I would have 7 days to come back in after getting it back. I called to speak with the owner to get my money back because I don't need the dress anymore as the wedding has passed, and I did not see any alteration in the dress. He advised that he would not give me any money back and I could come get it fixed, and was not friendly or understanding AT ALL. He actually LAUGHED at me over the phone at my annoyance of not being able to do anything about the $65 I just gave him for free. I told him I don't need the dress anymore and his seamstress didn't do anything at all... he said their policy is no refunds EVER. I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS TAILOR. Worst service I have ever experienced.

If I could, I would rate this place negative stars. I brought in a jacket that I wanted some small patches sewn on and a small rip repaired. The lady quoted me $45 for it and took my jacket. The day I was supposed to pick it up, they called me saying one of my patches was too damaged to sew on, even though the lady had inspected it and assured me they could do it. When I went in to pick it up, they refused to refund me, even though they charged me for it and then couldn't do it. They claimed the lady who charged me gave me the wrong price, and it was actually much more expensive. If I buy two sweaters at $20 each, a store can't suddenly claim they were $40 each and take one back without refunding me. This is simply outrageous. Furthermore, the patches that they had managed to sew on were in completely the wrong place, despite my having given them detailed instructions and provided an example jacket for them to base it off of. When I took it to another tailor to fix, I discovered that they hadn't even sewn them on, they had GLUED them! If I wanted my patches glued on I would've done that at home. This has been my worst experience ever with a tailor. No matter how desperate I get next time, I'd rather do it myself than bring anything here for them to ruin.

I have been going to this store for more than 3 years now. The staff always give great service and great advice on the type of alterations required to best suit my needs. Measurements have always been bang on. In fact , I needed pants and suit jacket altered for an event last year , needed them rushed as well. They delivered as promised. Thank you Joe and your team. No place I would rather go !!

Leaving for a business trip tomorrow- needless to say my suit pants were too tight and needed to be opened up... not only did Lisa provide me with friendly service but despite her being busy she managed to open all 3 of my pants within the day in time for me to go on my work trip in my suits!

I came in to have 3 buttons done for a wool coat. Marked where I wanted them with the front lady. When I came to pick it up, the holes have not been cut out, just the outline made. I was told by the front lady that I can just cut it out myself. Thick WOOL. Myself. Another staff member seemed surprised that they were not cut out, making a comment that he is not sure why it was not done. A week later (wasting my time and gas again), I came to pick it up for the last time. Still told that they were not cut out since it is a big responsibility and the spots had to be "confirmed" first. If that is the case, why not let the customer know that this is the procedure and that I need to come twice? And why lie and say I have to cut them myself? No apology. Not the customer service I would ever go back for.

On one hand the price for the hemming of 2 jeans plus a repair was quite high (close to 80 dollars with a discount) on the other hand the work was literally flawless and well done. The work itself took close to 2 weeks. You usually get 2 of the 3 things; speed, cost, quality. They satisfy quality greatly but leave to be desired the other two.

I gave these ladies a challenge and I felt they delivered! I bought my weddkng dress at a certain size, and then lost a fair bit of weight in the next 8 months before the wedding. They were able to take my dress in about 8" and have it ready for me to wear before the wedding date. Thank you!

Tailor's Choice is my go to! From the simplest fix on a pair of jeans, to a detailed alteration on an important, expensive dress for a special occasion, I wouldn't take my clothing anywhere else! I have often brought clothes to be altered with last minute notice and they have never missed the bell! Thank you to Joe and the whole team for showing me that I can always count on you!

Brought a bridesmaid dress to be altered. The dress was made out of a material like satin and was a one shoulder fitted kind of style with ruching. They were not very knowledgeable and altered but did not fix the dress. I spent $100 and waited 2 weeks to have a hem done, the shoulder shortened, and the waist taken in. YIKES. They also did the BARE MINIMUM of work they could possibly do, the dress was nicely finished inside when I bought it and they left it looking destroyed when I got it back from them. I had wanted to save the groom's mother some work by having it done but instead now had to take the mess to her to fix. No cost and one day later, the dress is fixed and beautiful by someone who knows what they are doing. She actually warned me against ALL tailor shops, saying they do crap jobs because they get so much business and don't care. She said that they even sometimes will glue suits together instead of sew to be quicker. YIKES. Lesson learned. Take it to a private seamstress people. It might not be as convenient but it will be done well and quicker!

I not only recommend their clothing alterations which are professionally done, but also their personalized embroidery service. They can create whatever you envision. OUTSTANDING SERVICE.....have had several services performed by Tailor's Choice. Winter Coat Zipper completed and price was not expensive and very durable. My son's suits were done perfectly and quickly. Last year we had our 25th Anniversary and Tailor's choice had beach bags embroidered for all of our guests. They turned out perfect and everyone loved them. I would recommend them to everyone.

Terrible service. I wish I could give it less than 1 star. The lady in the store in Oakville was very rude. Literally kicked me out the store because she said it was closed when my dad comes 5 mins later she lets us both in... There's a way to talk to customers they haven't learnt it.

I called the store and they gave me Joe’s cell number. Him and I coordinated a logo to get embroidered onto a jacket, a quick email of the logo and that’s all he needed. The logo was placed perfectly and the stitching looked great. A perfectly personalized gift.

I've been quite lucky to have gone for alterations at this location on four separate occasions. Each time the alterations were done very well and on time. Perhaps slightly more than I would have paid at 'Stitch It', I've certainly been much happier with the quality of the work. Case in point, I'm in good shape. I have broad shoulders requiring a 42 inch jacket, but a narrow waist needing only a 31-inch pant. But as anyone can tell you if 42 inch suit comes with 34 inch pants! Usually when other places try taking so much off (3") the waist, they don't get the seat of the pant right, which makes it look baggy at the butt. These guys pretty much rebuilt the pants and did a fantastic job; you would think they were custom-made. Same with the jacket. They managed to taper in at the vents on the side, and as it was a pinstripe suit, they had to get the angles on both sides to match otherwise the jacket would have looked terrible. As it was, they nailed it!

I had a very small hole in my suit jacket, barely visible, and asked if there’s anything they could do. They said yes but turns out they made it much worse, now there’s large amount of bulky thread over where the small hole was and it is very noticeable and the suit is completely ruined. They agreed it’s unwearable but would only offer the $17 back, which was insulting since they admitted to ruining a $1000 suit. Will definitely not be going back.

Dont go here ! Customer service is terrible. They made a mistake with embroidery on a Pottery Barn chair, and their solution to fix it was that I bring in another chair even though the mistake was on their end. The owner, Joe is rude and makes no effort to fix a mistake. Any pottery barn customers - go somewhere else for your anywhere chairs ! Not worth the risk. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Brought in a sports jacket my grandparents bought for me long ago, sweater has a lot of sentimental value you me but the stitching on the logos were pealing and I wanted to keep it. Brought it in, jacket restitched and looked great. Can’t wait to start wearing it again! Thanks guys
