Great place to buy a wedding suit as a groom! Mike Young was very knowledgeable and helped me find a perfect three piece suit. Overheard another couple came from out of town to see him! It was a very relaxed and comfortable experience. The store seemed well stocked with a good selection. No need to leave Hamilton for suit shopping.

I bought a few items for a wedding here yesterday and was so impressed with the sales associates. I have never bought a piece of formal clothing in my life, so I had no idea what I was looking for. Both of the men I dealt with were very helpful, explained a lot of things to me that probably should have been common sense, and helped me stay within my budget. Also, it turned out that the jacket I chose had a sale tag on it that it shouldn't have, and the real price was more than I was able to afford. The associate who rung me up gave it to me for the sale price without me even saying a word, which he didn't have to do but is so appreciated! I will definitely be coming back in the future!

Excellent! At first I just wanted to pick up a shirt, so I went upstairs to international... After being ignored by the staff for 15 minutes, I decided to try Strauss. This is THE place. Anything you need that involves a collar or a tie, go here. Hundreds of ties, suits, shirts, all the things you need for your special occasion. I was quickly approached by an associate who gave me hassle free advice, listened to what I wanted and needed and met every one of them with a smile. Top Knoch, old fashioned service. They sent my new suit out to be adjusted and it was ready and perfect for my planned social outing. With only 2 days notice, I'll be the best dressed man at the wedding. Let's hope the groom doesn't get too envious. Thanks guys!

Horrible customer service. Only the sales person who you placed your order with will help you, if that specific person isn’t working that day then you’re just SOL apparently. Best man in my wedding went in to pick up his suit for the wedding and his shirt was missing. The sales associate did not seem to care, had an attitude, and told the best man he couldn’t help because it wasn’t his group. Should everything not be put in the system in instances like this when people go to pick up their order and the sales associate who they’ve ordered from happen to not be working that day? Multiple guys from the wedding party had problems with the sales associates here when going in for fittings and not dealing with the original sales associate which we ordered from. Definitely will not be a returning customer or recommend anyone to purchase from here.

Been there a few times for myself and twice in a year since my my son outgrew his suits so fast. Selection is outstanding as well as style. Prices are very competitive especially when there is a sale. Most importantly the staff that have been there over the years have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I came here after stopping at 3 other places and not getting much help. Aphraim was very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. As indecicive as I was he was very patient and helpful through the whole process. I was even refered to an outside tailor as I needed the suit in less than a week and they couldn't get it altered that soon. The next time I need a suit I will be back.

Incredible service and selection!! What a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I went into the store completely new to the suit world. A very kind, knowledgeable woman named Karen helped us out, and she was just AWESOME! Not being a “fashion-forward” woman myself, I was thrilled to have her explain and give us so much time and detail about what we wanted, what worked/looked good, and colouring. She knew her STUFF! We got an entire suit, shirt, tie and square (for the pocket) since he had none of it. He looks amazing, she was such a joy to speak with, and if we EVER need menswear again, Strauss is where we’ll be going!!

Looks like a great store. Was very impressed with the quality. Service was terrible . There were 3 salesman and one of them was serving a customer and the other 2 were on their Cell phones. I waited because I was interested in buying a couple of nice shirts but never got served so just walked out.

My husband needed a suit for a wedding in 2 days and we were shopping with our toddler. We walked in (probably looked lost) and were met with a very helpful gentleman who found us a jacket, shirt and matching tie in about 6 minutes. They all looked and fit great and off we went. I went there September 16th and dealt with a female in her 40s, I told her the style of suit I wanted and price range of 400 she had me try on one Sean John suit, I wasn't loving the suit, after I said I didn't like it she literally walked away and helped another customer without showing me other suits, didn't bother providing me her name or taking the jacket off of me, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Went to Moore's clothing afterwards and bought 2 suits for the price Strauss sells one for. Spent 700 dollars at moores and don't regret it at all. Customer service was 10/10 at Moore's

Walked in looking for something to wear to a wedding in a week. A suit immediately caught my eye. After a couple minutes looking through sizes I was approached by a sales associate. I had no idea what I was looking for size wise, he pointed out that the suit I was looking for was not available in my ideal size but asked about my budget and found me a similar suit that fit perfectly. He then helped me choose a shirt and tie to match after again confirming my budget. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I ended up with a great suit. My 1 issues was after leaving I noticed I was charged $25 for socks that I’m sure were labeled for $12. I am hoping to get this corrected on Thursday when I pick up the suit after alterations, unless of course I misread the pricing. Either way I would highly recommend this place.
