I had a bag of clothing that needed to either be altered or repaired, and I decided to come here because of all the good reviews I read on Google. I'm really glad I did, and I found my own experience to be consistent with the rest of the reviews. Spomenka did a fantastic job either altering or repairing each piece. She fixed a hole in a cashmere sweater, a rip in an expensive designer button-down shirt, fixed frayed sleeves, and altered the lengths of pants, sleeves, or the shape of hemlines on several items I brought in. She did everything just how I wanted and each item is perfectly done. Items that I didn't wear much before are now some of my new favourites because they finally fit correctly! She'll be honest too about what she can and cannot do. There was something I wanted done to an item that wasn't possible because of the stretch and the amount of fabric needed, and she told me straight up that it wouldn't work (but she also gave me some other options of what could be done as an alternative). I have more stuff that needs to be altered, and so does my husband. We will definitely be back! I should mention too that she only takes cash, so be sure you come prepared. I didn't know the first time I came in, and had to run to the ATM across the street.

First visit with intent to taper a pair of jeans, absolutely terrible experience will never be back. Walked into the store to find a frazzled tailor, clearly in a rush however this is no excuse for very poor interpersonal skills. Tailor had no interest, had to even ask if they had a fitting room available to try on the piece. Prices are not listed for alterations, was mocked as “indecisive” when it took thought given the quote for a taper and hem was roughly 50% the cost of the value of the jeans. Store is cash only. Agreed with the tailor to go to the atm across the street right away to pull cash. Came back to the store to find it closed and locked. Tailor is driving by in the parking lot in her car with my jeans still in the store and the service unpaid. (Time is 4:55, store closes at 5:00) She pulls down her window and starts asking me if I can come back tomorrow to pay for the service, absolutely not LOL. She continues to tell me “Ive wasted her time”. And the same can be said about her business. Please save yourself the time, money and gas. Cheers.

So I bent over today and ripped my pants! That was fun! Luckily for me Stitching Studio was the only Alterations place I could find that was open and Spomenka took me right away, fixed my pants and had me on my way in under 10 mins..... Amazing!!!! Not only that the cost was minimal. I would highly recommend this place as they seem to have the customer service side of things worked out. Great experience!

I have used Spomenka's service a few times over the years. I find there is no consistency with her pricing which is the reason I won't be coming back. For complicated alterations she charges less, and for simple ones she charges more. Make sure to get pricing in advance and in writing. Generally, her skills are solid, but she does make mistakes. She tries to fix them, but it is inconvenient to go back and forth.
