Did what I asked for but charged me way over price. She told me 65$ total to take out my dress a little. When I went to pay with debit she said she has to charge me the tax. Never have I ever paid that much for a minor alteration. Unbelievable rip off.

Sanaa is excellent. She is a professional dressmaker and can fix anything. Her prices are reasonable especially if you understand the work involved in fixing clothes. She does excellent work and can make any piece of clothing look better on you!

I purchased a wedding gown at this store, paying $600 up front before the alterations were to be done. The owner assured me that she could alter the dress properly and on time. After many fittings and refittings the dress was still not ready. It was no longer clean from handling, and it was made so small that it was unwearable and unfixable, as the lace back had been cut out and removed making it impossible to let out. Five days prior to my wedding I had to shop for a new dress to replace the destroyed dress, for which the owner refused to refund the downpayment. I ended up buying a dress I hated from another store three days before my wedding. This tailor/owner seemed very sweet but she did not live up to her word and she did not compensate me or reimburse me for my trouble in anyway even though another seamstress pointed out to her that the dress was destroyed. Instead she kept her dress to re-sell and my money along with it. Very disappointing.

My first experience at a tailor's in Halifax and I never realized how drastically I was overcharged for a simple hemming of a dress and stitching of a small fray on my jacket ($60+). Although the work was done well, I think the lady recognized my inexperience at a tailor's and decided to take advantage of that. Ive gotten numerous things hemmed (faster!) for $10 and that same stitch (same jacket, different sleeve) for $8 elsewhere. Extremely disappointed as she probably did not expect a customer such as myself to ever post a review... went there 1.5 years ago and will never return.

I have had many GREAT experiences with this tailoring shop. Very highly recommend. The owner is a professional tailor and does fantastic work, always reliable, and the prices are very reasonable. I always like looking at the beautiful dresses she sells as well. Next time I need a formal dress I will be going here as the prices are much lower than in chain stores!
