I went in to get a new zipper put on my winter coat and when I went back a few days later to pick it up, it turns out I just needed a slider on the zipper. Dawn saved me $55.00. Dawn was awesome and she's definitely the only person I'd take my clothes too. She's friendly and always has a smile.

Decided to try this laundromat out since my washer recently died.... and by far the worst experience since moving to this city! Took me almost 3 hours cause dryers never got real hot! And cost more then the other mats I’ve been to! Don’t waste your time or money!

We have never been so shabbily treated dealing with any other business before. We had our curtains dry cleaned by this business paying $136.00 when we picked them up. There was no mention of any damage at the time. When we got home, unwrapped them and hung them they were full of holes. See attached picture. We returned the curtains asking for a refund. We were given any number of excuses, including a childish, inaccurate exchange where they insisted we were warned that there was a risk of this happening. Why would we have proceeded with dry cleaning if there was such a risk? After a couple visits to the shop and a couple phone calls the best they are willing to offer is a 40% refund. We are rejecting this out right on principle. How can anyone run a business like that? Very surprising given the generally positive feedback we see this business has. I am very curious to see how they will respond to this review. We await it with great interest. Hi Dawn. In response, Tomy is my 15 year old son. He has the only computer in our household. I just have a smart phone. We did not realize it would show his google account name on the review when we used that computer. Here is how we are closing the matter. 1) The curtains as returned to you are of no use to us any longer, please take care of the disposal, or if you feel someone could use them drop them off at Value Village. 2) Keep our $136.00 and treat yourself and your staff to a group meal on us. All we ask is you discuss the following points together for a couple minutes and re-evaluate how you treat customers when the service or product you delivered clearly fell far short. INTEGRITY - were you open and honest with the customer advising them of the ruined curtains when they picked them up and paid for them? RESPECT - did you treat your customer with respect and behave maturely in the discussion on the warning of risk? You are essentially accusing us of lying. The blank signature box speaks volumes. ACCOUNTABILITY - Did you take ownership of the end result of you service ? We have always taught our son Tomy that when you borrow or take responsibility for someone else's property you return it as you received it or better. The only good out of this disheartening experience is our hope you never treat another customer again as we have been treated. The matter is closed.

I was so impressed that they would do that since it cost much less! Horrible customer service. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Brought two brand new shirts to be dry cleaned and was returned them in unsalvageable condition (Black text on tee was completely faded and my silk top was stained and snagged and had multiple pin holes) Spoke to the owner about how she can rectify the situation and she blamed me for not knowing what I'd get myself into by dropping them off. Highly unprofessional and she had no knowledge at all about any possible damage with different fabrics. A refund was only given once I had asked for one. 0 stars

AWFUL, TERRIBLE PLACE! I would give it zero stars if I could. Paid almost $200 in wash and fold and got stuff returned to me that was: crumpled up and not at all folded; shrunken and forever unusable (goodbye, futon cover); completely covered in lint; and some even totally damaged. Sent in sheet sets and they couldn't even bother to fold the corners neatly, as was the case for several other items. When I asked for an explanation for such an unacceptable hand-off they simply said "well, we don't check what we put into the machines when you bring them to us, and we also don't check when stuff comes out... we just wash and fold them." I could hardly believe it... and leads me to question whether some of the other reviews are even true. Some of the better wash & fold places will actually iron your clothes, not just fold them. I had called ahead to confirm about the ironing and was very disappointed when it turned out they hadn't done it with my stuff. I tried to ask for a refund but the owner nickled and dimed me... she first offered $40 (less than a quarter of what I paid), then stalled me and nothing came of it eventually. Honestly, even if your experience isn't as extreme and disappointing as mine, just learning that they simply throw stuff in and quickly fold it later makes it enough to tell me not to bother using their services. You can do much better at home, with far greater care, and save a ton of money in the process. Steer clear!

Don't use this service. I had asked to have a backpack fixed and I spoke directly with Dawn Noel, the owner, who told me they would do it for $9.99. When I picked it up, the cost was $28.99 - more than the cost of a new backpack. Earlier the same day the owner, had called me to quote the cost at $9.99 and asking me if I wanted to move forward with the repair, thus she could have called me again if the price was going to change and I would have said 'no thank you'. When I raised concern the owner was unapologetic. In the big picture I really don'e care about the additional ~$20.00; what I do care about is the lack of transparency and honesty. There are lots of other places to get alterations done for the same or less cost (e.g., cleaners on the corner of Norfolk and Suffolk) so go elsewhere!

Unfortunately, it appears dryers cannot be used if clothes are not washed at this laundromat. Grateful that M&M and Woodlawn Laundromats permit the drying of clothes not previously washed at their laundromat.

I needed the entire back of my wedding dress completely changed for a different style, as well as some hemming done to the length. Not only can you not tell any work was done, but it turned out even better than I imagined. SO professional, entire dress took less than a month (only needed 4 fittings), and in and out in less than 20 mins each time. I felt so relaxed leaving my precious dress with them. I do not recommend this business. I left my Canada Goose coat to be dry cleaned, it was returned to me a day later than promised and was damp. Because it had been wet and returned damp, the down filling was compromised. When I brought this complaint forward the employee called the owner; she refused to deal with it in the moment but rather insisted that I wait until 3 days later when she would in the store. I indicated I was not comfortable waiting that amount of time, the owner then proceeded to tell me I was unreasonable, condescending and hung up on me. After this, I agreed to wait the 3 days only to learn the owner would only see me between 8am and 1 pm during the week. When I advised, I work during the day, I was told I better come on my lunch as she was unwilling to be flexible. I ended up going there before my work day, she did not apologize for the way she spoke to me or address her inappropriate behavior. Her solution for resolving the issue with my jacket was to have it re-fluffed by the off-site cleaner. I agreed and got my coat 3 days later. It was re-fluffed but it was not in the original condition I had left it. Once again, no apology and no discount were offered. I have since learned this has happened to others who have used this business. I do not recommend Guelph Cleaners & Alterations, especially for high end items.

I went here to receive alterations on my dress for a wedding. The dress required that the bust was taken in so that I would not need a bra, and that it was hemmed to be shorter. Upon returning to get my dress the first time, the dress (which fit perfectly and did up fine prior to being taken here) would not do up, it was not roughly 2 inchs on each side to short to do up the zipper. I was assured this would be fixed. What bothered me most about this visit is one of the seamstresses asked me if " I had gained weight". This was extremely hurtful as it had only been 2 weeks prior my dress fit perfectly and did right up. I proceeded to tell them no, this was something they had done. To which, they kept saying "They dont know what happened"- which makes ZERO sense as they were the one to do the alterations! Upon returning for the second visit, the dress still did not fit. Now I was told the only solution was to add ribbon to the back. Let me make this clear, this is NOT something I wanted, but not was forced to do as as the wedding was not 1 week away. Finally on my last fitting, the dress did do up, but only with the addition of a ribbon on the back. This was never what I wanted. Also the bust was still to big and I was told to "just wear a bra with it". Meaning they had now taken a dress, made it not fit, then didnt even do the alterations that I wanted properly as they were to concerned trying to fix the mistake they had made. In summary, they took a dress I loved, made it not fit, then also refused to accept blame for any of it along the way. The dress still did not fit my bust, and now is wrecked for me. Nothing was offered to compensate for this error. No money was returned, and no apology was given. At least some of the money should have been refunded since they wrecked my 300$ dress that still does not fit. DO not take your dress here. I am not one to leave a bad review- but this was a ridiculous situation and really should have not ended with me not getting a refund, no apology, and my dress not being completed.

I took my favourite shirt into be fixed. It had become very thin and torn. i didn't hold much hope that it would be able to be fixed. I was told that they would have to patch it. Well we found our guelph cleaning and alteration place. I had to have a bridesmaid dress done as i left it for last minute a week before the wedding and she did it woth time to spare and the dress fits absolutly perfect. And the price was great.
