I literally brought a golf glove in with a small hole in the finger and told them I just wanted it closed up. I was well aware that it wasn't going to be perfect or look brand new. They simply said "there's nothing we can do"? Ridiculous. Ended up doing it myself with a needle and thread. Held up pretty well through a round. No idea why they wouldn't have at least tried to help me or explain to me why they felt they couldn't help. The actual girl working at the front went back to talk to the ladies doing the work, they wouldn't even talk to me. I won't bring anything here ever in the future. Horrible customer service, rude and not helpful at all.

This was my first experience at StitchIt Limeridge. I went in with a long skirt and brand new pants that needed some altering. I was greeted nicely and professionally. The whole experience was quick, and yet detailed. I was shown options as to how my items could be altered, as well as asked what my preference was based on comfortability. Pricing was great, and absolutely fair. I was told my items would be finished the next day, by 4pm for pick up (I was expecting at least a day or two). Low and behold - my items were done and ready by 12pm the next day! Amazing service, amazing pricing, amazing ladies!

Craziest Experience! Hours before a wedding, a family member experienced a problem with her zipper on her dress and was desperate to find help. The three of us travelled and looked for places that were open, and fortunately found Stitch It. The woman there was wonderful and squeezed us in time for us to be able to make it to the wedding ceremony and fixed the zipper. Because of Stitch It's great efforts, we will definitely be coming again!

They did not adjust my skinny Jeans when they shortened it so now it's a straight fit. I was trying to explain this to them and they did not understand. Elderly white lady who works there is very rude. The younger girls are nicer.

Pant hems they are on point. Great service in a timely and prompt manner. Hems of shirts being taken in aren't perfect. They don't smooth the transition under the armpit area so it bulges a bit. Nobody is perfect. So if you need a pant hem, whether regular or euro hem, this is your place.

I went here to get a new zipper for my winter coat. The lady who worked there was happy to accommodate (I didn't get her name, but she sounded European) and made suggestions that I was really happy with. The price was about $35 (cheaper than a new coat) and my coat was done in about 2 days. I was very happy! The lady was very nice on drop off and pick up and was happy to do what I asked. I would use them again! I don't know why the reviews are bad on here for this place. Maybe they changed Management or associates, because I was quite satisfied.

I went to the Stitch It at Limeridge Mall, Hamilton, Ontario and was very disappointed with the workmanship. They charged me $90 to hem my daughter's graduation dress and to attach a row of beads to the waist of the dress. The hem was all crooked and half of the beads were not sown down properly. I sew, so I know what I am talking about. I went there because I have an old sewing machine that couldn't do the work. They are suppose to be professionals, but there was nothing professional about their workmanship. It was a rush job. I expected more for $90. I will not go there again. If I had known your rating was so low, I wouldn't have gone there.

Has been good in the past but not pleased with the recent dry cleaning of my highland kilt. Multiple plates were pressed incorrectly. Took an hour of my time with an iron to correct this issue. In the past the cleats would be hand stitched. Will be seeking another place for this service as the item is too costly to return here. Note the drift in the crease in the pic attached.

Originally I chose stitch it purely because of the quick turnaround time in comparison to other seamstresses - but in the end I couldn't have been happier with every aspect of service. Not only did they do an amazing job, they also noticed and repaired one of the dresses that had a default. The owner Dawn - I can't say enough about. She made the entire process stress-free and easy - which is what I needed with my upcoming wedding. Dawn was there up until the very last minute (literally) when I needed her for a last minute fix. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Now I know why this place is rated so low. Came in today and the lady acted like I was inconveniencing her by being there. She didn’t even say hello. I asked if she could simply steam a shirt for me as we were in town for a wedding and didn’t have an iron. She said “well it’s ten dollars” like she was trying to talk me out of a sale ???? then she grabs the shirt from me and asks for my details and takes it in the back. I’m like ummmn you haven’t even said when it can be done. She’s like oh you have to come back for it tomorrow. I was like okay well I thought you could simply steam or iron now. Then she just hands me the shirt back and says nothing. I was like LOL guess not. What terrible customer service. The worst.

My friend and I had two bridesmaids dresses altered. One only required hemming for too much length; turned out acceptable. Second dress.. we had a sash removed along with hemming. The first time we returned to grab the dresses.. there was a stain & the sash removal wasn't done very well.. The lines didn't match up & there were still strings sticking out. The bottom "frill" was sewn into the dress. Understandable the first time. Benefit of the doubt. Pandemic has everyone off their game. The second time we went to pick up the "fixed" dress.... there was still a frill or layer (will attach picture) sewn into the dress. Stain was removed though.. (She made sure to make that very clear.) The same mistake twice, or it wasn't fixed the first time? Took 30 minutes for the 3rd attempt & it's now passable. As a brand new mom with a tiny baby.... the multiple trips weren't easy, even with the two of us. We were offered 10 percent off our next alteration for our troubles & a very passive "sorry." I'm so glad that it seems most people have had a good experience here.. just wasn't the case for us sadly.

Sunday afternoon on July 18th I went in and there was an irate woman who took Julie the staff member to task because she thought her clothing was supposed to be ready for pickup. She followed Julie into the staff area and yelled at her there and kept asking her the same question, Why did you not call and tell me it was not ready? She was also upset about the way the alteration would be done to the clothing and did not agree with it. They came over to the cash register and I felt sorry for Julie because she was trying to stay calm and cool and explain the situation but this customer would not listen and all she wanted to do was yell at her. Julie has helped me in the past always in a helpful and professional manner. If this woman had come into my business and acted in the manner she did she would have received her clothing and refund and been asked to leave the premises.

My father passed away this September from cancer and for Christmas I wanted to turn one of his old shirts into a stuffed animal for my mom. Even though they hadn’t done stuffed animals before a lady named Julie tried and it turned out beautifully!!! Instead of making just a small flat bear shape she went above and beyond and made an adorable bear and a pillow out of the left over t shirt material. Everyone was so extremely kind and it was a wonderful experience I will definitely go back and I recommend you go as well!! ❤️

Absolutely horrible service. I gave in my work pants (4 pairs) a week ago, I was told to pick them up Monday at 5pm. I came in at 4pm to check on the work since I was in the mall anyways, I was told they would be done in 30mins. I came back at 5pm at my pickup time to be told my pants were just now being worked on. I work nights Monday and need them for work. I was not even given an apology. I now have to go to work because they won’t be ready in time as they had just started on them at 5pm and will have to come back again tomorrow to pick them up. Not offered any compensation or apology for this. Very disappointed with their customer service. I understand if they’re low staff and have many orders in place that’s one thing. But to tell me at 4 they would be done by 430 and then for them to not have started on them at 5 when I went to get them is ridiculous. I would have been understanding had they given me an explanation and an apology. Never coming to this location again.

Worst experience ever. Brought 3 pairs of trousers for hem fixing (shortening), as well as a pair as a sample for length. Came back as attached picture. One pair was almost an inch longer! Went back to get it re-done, and the manager I spoke to was unreal. She didn’t even offer a sincere apology, but continued “Everybody makes mistakes, right? Don’t you, too?”. I expressed displease because that’s not how you talk to your customer who is wasting the time going back there. Then she called me the one with attitude, then told me to “Back off”. She refused to give my money back, and told me that I wasn’t welcome at “her store” any longer. So I left there feeling like I was the one who was at fault. Haha. Don’t use them, guys. They’ll mess with your valuable clothes, and won’t claim any responsibility. Bring your business elsewhere.

I took a winter jacket that had come apart at the seam in the armpit area. It was done in time and looked like new. You would never be able to tell it was repaired and for a very reasonable price. My family and I brought our wedding guest/bridemaid outfits in to be altered and dry cleaned for the big day. I also brought my winter coat in to be dry cleaned and stitched. My sister, dad & mom all had their outfits returned ready to go.. however mine still had large creases throughout the dress (still as if came out of the shipping package) and there were two white marks on the dress. My coat had the shoulder sewn and everything was fine there but they were supposed to sew BOTH pockets up.. and only did one. Now after maybe two weeks of wearing the coat the one they did fix has the same giant hole back again. Of course I didnt keep the service receipt so there wasnt much I felt I could do but I am really not impressed by this location at all. I should also mention the older lady that took our invoice seemed like she was bothered by us giving her our business. Maybe she hates her job but customers dont need to feel the hate. Overall 2/5 experience.

I came into the pen centre location this morning frantic because I had ordered a dress online for our family Christmas pictures that I received damaged ???? I didn’t have enough time to exchange it so I came in hoping to have it repaired quickly. When I came in I spoke to Julie who was lovely but stated it wouldn’t be ready until Tuesday. I explained my situation and she promptly asked me to see the dress. She took it to the back for a few minutes and came back with it repaired!!! On the spot !! I was shocked and extremely grateful! Can always count on Stitch It to do a great job to make clothes fit perfectly but have to pay a premium price to do so. Quite expensive and adds significant cost to a piece of new clothing.

The ladies at Stitch It are extremely accommodating and know their stuff! I've had several dresses taken and pants and sleeves hemmed to perfection. My boyfriend has gotten a suit jacket fitted along dress pants taken out and hemmed - all within a day. We will definitely keep coming back!

I had custom ordered my wedding dress online. When I received it, it was 4 inches too big. I took it to the pen centre location and the lady that helped me was amazing. Her name is Dawn. She made me feel so much better and pinned me up in my dress and reassured me my dress would be perfect. The seamstress, her name is Home did an amazing job fixing my dress! She even hand sewed a blingy belt on my dress and she reenforced the button eyelets on my dress as they were starting to fray. I highly recommend this business. Horrible! I brought my son's Karate Uniforms in to have to badges sewn on and they accidentally sewed the draw strings to the badge! Now I'm required to purchase a new uniform because the draw strings are too short to tie. Uniforms were worn once, not happy! Still waiting for a call back from the store Manager.
