Originally walked into the store on a whim to purchase a jacket to match with pants from another store (needed for cousin's wedding). Ali (store manager) found out I was the wedding emcee, and immediately had me fitted in a beautiful suit within minutes of stepping into the store --a suit which happened to be on sale and saved me $350. The process took ten minutes max, which I didn't think was possible. Two days later I retrieved my tailored suit (which fit absolutely perfect) and was fully relieved of any qualms or concerns regarding my outfit heading into my cousin's wedding. Thank you Ali and Tip Top Tailors! I will definitely visit again.

The staff are nice.....the manager is a jerk. He was very rude and demeaning to his staff the 1st time we were there. Seems to be a big control freak. They messed up our order and I am due a refund but can only get it when the manager is on duty. The tuxedos were very nice that were provided by Freeman formal wear through the store.

Tried to get shirts tailored. They did a terrible job, and manager wasn't very nice. The manager pinned the shirts where he would tailor them, but when trailoring was done by someone else, and there wasn't much change to the shirt. I asked them to tailor it again, and they also didn't make much difference. I spoke to the manager, said it doesn't fit the way he pinned it, and there wasn't much difference, and he got angry and completely brushed it aside. Seems like a jerk, who didn't understand tailoring and didn't want to address the problem. I had to take it to a different place (QuickSew downtown), and consulted directly with the person who is doing the tailoring, which was excellent. He told me benefits/drawbacks of darts, I decided to go ahead, and it fits incredibly well. DO NOT recommend Tip Top Tailors for customizing items!!!

My father rented a suit to attend his daughter's wedding. When he went to put it on in the morning it wasn't pressed and it stunk! The morning of the wedding the father of the bride had to find something else to wear, and was out the rental fee. Ridiculous.

Worst employees. A lady working there was not willing to help me find a tie. Wanted to buy 3 ties and check with the coat at home, she said, if you remove it from packet, they won't take return. How am I supposed to see what's inside without opening it??? (Of course I am not going to remove tags and labels.) Worst shop ever!!!

Today my Boyfriend had to get suited up for a wedding. With only a price tag to go off and a theme for the wedding, Sabrina Mann was the absolute best! Working by herself with many other customers coming in and out of the store. Sabrina made sure that all of his needs for the wedding! The clothes is nice but the older guy at the store today was not very good. I asked for a sizing and he didn't so much as look up and say just a minute...just starred at his computer and said I'll help shortly in a pretty rude and dismissive tone. After waiting about 5 mins or so I decided I didn't like the man and walked out he called after us I told him not to worry about it. I went to sears and got my sizing for a dress shirt and she was very pleasant. Probably won't go back and definitely won't buy from that man.

The Worst Customer Service ever, The Manager Ali needs some more training in Customer service. I been to Tip Top in Brampton and the customer service there was awesome as i live in guelph i went to Tip top in Stone Rd mall, I was looking for suits a Manager arrive and said if i need some help i said yes sure, he started to show me suits and when ever i try to say something he shut me up by saying i know better, after seeing his this behave and the way he was treating me i quietly leave the store went to Sears next to it and bought my suit over there. After more then a month as it was black Friday sale week on 29th Saturday Nov 2014 i went there again as i am a Fan of Tip top brand i was talking to a lady over there and tried my best to ignore this Guy ALI (the Manager) he came straight and ask me do you need any help i said no thanks the lady is helping me i was with my Wife there. he went to the lady and said do you know what his size is she said yes he told me 42 S. he said dont go for what he said you measure him first and he started to shouting on her infront of me i was not comfortable with it at all and he came to me with his tape and said can i measure you i let him measure me and then it started what i was afraid of ........ he start making me feel a dumb in front of my wife when ever i started to say a word he shut me up by saying YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING I KNOW i tried to tell him that my size is 42 S and he was saying NO you are 44 L i told him that i always buy suits i know my size he get RUDE infront of every one to me and said then I DONT HAVE IT and was keep forcing me to buy what he want. i told him i want a Gray suite and he was giving me a BLACK ONE and when i try to say something he keep insulting me infront of my wife at end i told him dont be rude the way you talk to me is too rude. he started arguing i am a guest service manager my self this guy dont know a single word about Guest services he do need training if as a customer i am afraid to enter this shop and even if the brand love take me in i try my best to hide from him in store i believe there is many more who left tip top because of his behavior. at end i collect a manager Diane Cardwell card from there but there is no email on it I strongly suggest to take serious action on this Manager ALI or kindly send him for Training and if you meet him once you will know what i am talking about. I recently spent $400.00 on a suit and sent it away to be tailored. I was told that it would be ready the following Friday for pickup. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I never received a call on the Friday the Tip Top representative specified or over the weekend. I didn't need the suit immediately (thank god) so I didn't bother calling Tip Top until the following Wednesday. When I called (in a polite manner), the woman on the phone was rude and unprofessional. I understand that people have bad days, but her attitude was uncalled for. I specified that I bought a suit and sent it away for tailoring. She couldn't find my name on their database and told me she would call me back. Ten minutes later, she called me back and BLAMED ME for the issue she was having stating "you said that you rented a tuxedo"... I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mix up the word suit with tuxedo. The woman ended up finding my suit and when she told me it was there she hung up without saying goodbye or anything. Overall, I'm glad the woman found my suit, but her attitude and professionalism was horrible. I would also like to know why I didn't receive a phone call telling me my suit was ready...

I would not recommend the place to anyone who cares about good manners. I went there looking for a new suit and despite many of the employees passing by me while holding the suit and waiting for help, all of them ignored me like I was not even visible. I left the shop and went to Zara and paid more money for a good service. They just lost more than me. I will advise all my colleagues not to visit this place.

Purchased a suit earlier in the day, but decided on a lighter colour, returned it at 4:30 (store closes at 5:00), and the sales associate was very rude. Informed me that she had already closed her till, so I would have to wait a while for her to reopen it. It made me almost want to return the other items I bought there out of spite. Will never return to this store.

I had an overall good experience there. A lady from Nigeria was quite helpful and provided good custom service for me. She even tied my tie for me. The lady that may be from Eastern Europe was also nice. When I came back to get my clothes that were on hold the next day, there was some confusion as to their whereabouts but they were found. A note for customers to always check what they are paying for when buying things. There are often additional costs for things whether buying a suit or buying a new car. Little extra things can be added up to beyond the anticipated cost. Same for restaurants for that matter (little additives). Transparency in sales is still lacking generally but the customer must be prudent with their wallets and purses.

We waited by the change rooms after picking out what we wanted and still no one came to help. We left and went to Moores and had a significantly better experience and service. Only gave one star because the young man on the phone yesterday was great. Needed a rental for a graduation in Labrador. Russian/European lady is the dragon queen. Flat out turned me down said NO store, TipTop or otherwise will rent for a graduation out of town. Seeing a theme here for poor ratings related to one person in there. TipTop needs to pay attention. I got my suit for my wedding altered here. I did not buy it from Tip Top, though after the service I received, I wish I had. Even though the suit was bought elsewhere, the two young gentlemen I corresponded with took their time, explained the process to me, and even made a second round of alterations when I found out the pant leg was a bit too short. I felt like I learned something about suits while there. It was more than just a place I went to buy something. Very professional.

I came in to get alterations done for a suit for a wedding, The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I am now here the day of the wedding because the pants are a little too tight in the thigh after the alteration. Even though I’m here last minute the lady (Inas) was happy to accommodate me on sight by taking out the pants. As someone in sales I understand how difficult it is to satisfy the needs and wants of all your customers. I never leave reviews online but due to the outstanding customer service I received, I give them 5 stars. I recommend stitch it burlington to anyone looking for alterations in a professional and timely manner.

This brand is great, they make excellent suits, however the staffs in this particular store are not very helpful, they are impatient and always assume that you are not going to buy anything, I had terrible experience there. If you want to get a nice suit and a good shopping experience, go to other store.

Extremely disappointed in the service I have received from this location. I have never had issues in the past but this most recent string of incidents has left a bitter taste and I need express just how dissatisfied I am as a client. I don't want to go into painstaking detail about my ordeal but suffice to say, I feel as though the agents I have dealt with have been condescending and have left me embarrassed to even enter the store. I have been made to wait an extraordinary amount of time with little to no updates on my issues and there has been absolutely no resolution for the reason I initially visited. I have tried to remain positive and give them benefit of the doubt in the majority of situations and they continue to let me down. In a small town like Timmins, there aren't a lot of options, but at this point, I would rather take my chances with online shopping over giving this location even a brief whiff of my time. Would absolutely not recommend this location and would urge you to shop elsewhere. In a world where retail shops are dwindling due to online sales, the only saving grace when I shop local is an expectation of customer service and I don't believe this store understands that.

Best friends wedding is on Saturday. They call on Wednesday to tell him theres no possible way to get his suits. 3 days notice to completely change the groom and groomsman look. Everyone deserve their dream wedding, and this bride had to settle for for a look that didnt match her wedding. On top of that, they offered no compensation until it was demanded. Great place with great staff. They are very helpful. They no longer do suit rentals for weddings, but they do however do suit discounts for wedding parties. I not only get to keep the suit for my friends wedding, but I also saved money! If you buy only the suit you'll pay $250 plus tax per person. I paid well over that for a rental in the past at another location.

Be wary of who pins your jacket when getting alterations. My fiance went in to get a blazer taken in and the person on the floor pinned it too tightly (assuring him the fit would be right). The tailor did the alterations and unfortunately didn't leave enough material in the seams to take it out and fix it. They don't take responsibility for it because my fiance (who wasn't familiar with blazers/fit) said "sure" when the pins were put in (after 30 minutes of the person fumbling with it). I assume quality depends on who you get.

Customer service and people who actually know what they’re doing is so important. I had some pants altered on purchase at the Peterborough store before I moved to Burlington. The pants started splitting open at the back after about 2 weeks because the alterations had been done quick and poorly (barely any thread holding them together and loose stitching) Fast forward, I’m now 2 hours away and told that the Burlington location will take care of it at no charge to me. I take them in - the guys get me sorted out and even suggest they do additional alterations at no charge because the fit of the pants completely sub par. Long story short, they know what they’re doing and are fixing the butchery that Peterborough made of my clothing. Excellent service all around.

Was suggested by a friend to check out Tip Top for a few things I might have been interested in purchasing for a upcoming event my wife and I will be attending. Upon entering the store, I had more than one employee simply look up from whatever it was they were doing (And from what it looked like, all they were doing was standing around chatting with each other) and then go back to it without greeting me at all. It may seem insignificant, but greeting a customer can go a long way. After poking around and not coming across the few specific items that I was recommended, I got the attention of one of the employees so I could inquire about what I was looking for. I had barely begun to list my items before the woman coldly asked "Are you shopping for yourself?" When I informed her that I was, she basically turned on her heels and told me "We won't have anything your size, go to George Richards by The Village" and walked away from me. I was so taken aback by the coldness and abruptness of her statement that I simply just walked out. I know that everyone can have their rough days, but when you work in a retail environment, don't you think that you should be doing your best to provide the best service that you can to all potential customers? I get that my size may be more suited for another store, but to be told so rudely that I might as well just leave because you have nothing in my size (Based totally on assumption, by the way) is very off-putting and the type of attitude that will have me NEVER recommending your store to any of my friends or family. Very disappointed.

Recently rented a suit for my husband for our wedding our experience went from 1 star to 5. He originally got his measurements done in Brampton and we had it delivered to the Kingston location. It came 3 days before the wedding and the measurements were totally off. The suit looked 2 sizes too big and we were not happy. My husband wanted to just buy a suit and was super upset and frustrated but the staff at the Kingston location were amazing! Brian was able to resize him and get a new rental in the next day and another lady (didn't get her name) she was blonde and full of energy. She was there the next day to help us try everything on and made all of our stress go away. They allowed us extra time to bring the rental back because of all the stress we went through. I would 100% recommend the Kingston location to anyone looking for a rental for any occasion.

I've been here at least a dozen times and at least half of those times I have bought something. Every time a staff member has helped me they were nice about it. I don't mind the laid-ish back customer service helping they offer. I usually walk around for a few minutes get some idea of what to get and then someone comes and helps me and helps me pick out what I need. I find that works a lot better than being badgered right away by staff. Lots of negative reviews but I enjoy this spot. They also have pretty good deals most of the time!!

I went in looking for a few items and the person working could not have been more helpful or attentive. I was able to get a few dress shirts and other items quickly and for a great price. To top it off Brian (the manager working at the time) steam pressed one of the shirts for me as I had told him earlier that it was for a job interview. I will certainly be going back in the near future.

I always had good customer service experience at Avalon mall store but the last time I was there, I had the absolute worst customer service experience. The blonde lady that worked there was not only rude but rolled her eyes and argued with me when I pointed my suit pants were not done as ordered. Its not just me but several of my friends also warned me to stay clear of the store if she was working. If this continues then I have no problem bringing my business to Moores or other places.

I see that there are some bad reviews here and I personally believe that it is definately not the case here. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this store and it's staff. I have purchased many items from them and received top notch service. Jack the manager is very knowledgeable and is very respectful towards clients. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and answers all of my questions. His staff are well trained and know what they are talking about and are always helpful and courteous, its a joy to shop here and I hate shopping. I recently had an issue with some shirts I had purchased and Jack the manager handled it with class and made things right. The way they treat clients is without a doubt in my mind how retail business should be. I would and will recommend them to everyone I know. John Henderson

I did not catch the staff member’s name but she had excellent knowledge of what colours and patterns look good together. She showed us a lot of options I would not have thought of. Keshia was very knowledgable and helpful when my husband and groomsman came to get fitted for their tuxes. She was accommodating and supportive when I called last minute to see if a last minute pick up change would be possible for one of my groomsman. Entirely unrelated to her, one of the groomsman was sized incorrectly by another associate which caused some problems. To the company's credit, they rush ordered a new jacket and vest. In the end the guys ended up looking great, especially my husband whose tux fit as if it was tailor made for him specifically. Huge thank you to Keshia specifically who was a really big highlight to our experience. I would recommend asking for her if you are thinking of renting from tip top Kingston. She is fabulous and creates a memorable experience.

Manager or owner has condescending, snobby attitude.Laughed in my face when I asked if they would throw in a tie with my suit purchase. The older gentleman who sized me and processed everything was a good guy. Still, I will never be looking for a suit here again. Also, this place does not do suit or jacket alterations unless you buy from them. Which is no problem because you can just go next door to stars who will do it

The lady at the cash was too busy tallying up receipts from a wedding party to bother to check me out. She asked me if the pants were ok, and I said yes. She then continued to do receipts. I waited patiently for almost 5 minutes. She finally looked up and went to check me in. Half the tag was missing off the pants so then she asked me to go get another pair like it for her. I refused and told her my wife had brought them to the dressing room for me and that she should look herself. She was obviously not too happy about this and as she walked away to search, I mumbled " If I'm too much trouble to rind in my purchase, I can always take my business elsewhere!!" Another male customer behind me, who had observed the poor service commented " I hear you brother, I hear you. " Not the device you expect from Tip Top.
