I called the store 5 mins before closing time on a Saturday! To my surprise, I tried on my suit pants to make sure they fit okay, too tight, and my best friends wedding is tomorrow (best man problems). I explained to Elham in desperation my situation. She calmly told me to come in and that she will stay behind! I rushed over and needless to say her pleasant service was received in store as well. She was extremely polite and assured me that it will be okay, she completed alterations right away and ensured that the day was saved! I truly cannot thank Elham enough for the amazing service. It is this level of service that go’s unnoticed but will be the reason I will never look to complete alterations elsewhere. Her work was also extremely but with the highest quality. She didn’t rush. She was not rude and had no attitude about asking her to stay late on a Saturday. Truly a WOW experience. Hoping everybody but my best friend reads this review.

Came here to get my black winter jacket sewn up, as I ripped the pocket. The Jacket is black and they use navy blue thread to patch the pockets. My wife went there 3 times trying to pick up the jacket and the jacket still have the same navy blue stitching. She asked them to fix the it, and they are all pointing fingers at each other. Up to this point the jacket still have blue stitching on it. We are now escalating this to head office, as this is unacceptable that you keep your asking your customer to come back and forth wasting time and gas and keep on getting the same result and not fixing the problem. I suggest you find another location or another Alteration facility that will give a better service than this location.

I'll keep it short and simple. I've only ever brought work trousers to be hemmed. I pin them myself so all they need to do is alter them. I've never had a bad experience. My only complaint is that the turnaround time can be slow, sometimes a week.

Great place to give your clothes for alterations. My wife needed to alter her traditional Indian clothes and the ladies at this location of Stitch It did an amazing job. Indian clothes are a little complicated and they took her measurements to understand the scope of work. They are professional and very skilled. My wife was so happy with the work that they did, that she gave another Indian outfit for them to alter! The team at this location is very sweet to work with and very funny. I highly recommend this location to anyone that has any needs for alterations!

Very frustrating. I ended up asking for a refund and taking my clothes back without having any sewing done. On a Monday night, I dropped off two items which needed two different sewing done. They said that they would be ready for pickup on Saturday afternoon but on Saturday morning they called me and said neither items were fixed - that they hadn't started work on either. They said that they needed me to come in for measurements (that should have been done when I dropped the item off) and that my other item which needed buttons was something that I needed to supply (again not asked of me when I dropped it off). After a week and two visits, I took my clothes back and got a refund. The woman had a lot of difficulty and took about 10 mins to figure out how to process a refund (which no one else knew how to do!)

Terrible service. I had a dress that was too long and the bust was way to big, when I tried it on so they could pin it for alterations he kept pulling it down so the waist would sit on my hips and telling me that the bust was not too big (because of the way he was pulling it down) Was only willing alter the length but wouldn't let me sit the waist of the dress on my actual waist so I couldn't see what the actual length would be, so I couldn't even get an accurate length alteration.

I have gone to many tailors and alteration shops over the years, and I would definitely have to say that most experiences were lacklustre, at best. The first time that I tried out Stitch-it, inside of Metrotown, I had just picked up a few jackets and pants from around the mall, all of which required a number of alterations. Blindly trusting tailors that I have never worked with before was a stretch for me, but the convenience was too good to pass up. A week later, I arrived to pick up the lot of garments left in their care, and I was extremely satisfied with their workmanship. Having this positive experience in hand, I developed a very good relationship with the gentleman, James Nguyen, and worked with him on a number of the wardrobe additions that followed. The atmosphere that James and his coworkers create, is one of positivity, filled with bubbliness from start to finish. This vibe, in addition to the staff's exceptional work and effort put in to making me feel and look my best, compels me to very easily recommend James & Stitch-It. I look forward to working with them again soon!

I went to have my suit altered (sleeves extension and pants hemming). I have been received politely and the man explained to me what was possible. I asked to have it ready within 4 days. One day later I receive a notification that it is ready for pickup! I tried it once back home and I am delighted. They did a great job and even did extra work on the garments to make it look neat. I appreciated this attention and fast service.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO AVOID. This location lost my suit pants. The location and the corporate office took very little responsibility for the inconvenience for essentially losing a suit. They only refunded five times the cost of my alteration. I'm not satisfied wth their policy as the cost for the alteration has zero reflecton of the cost to replace the suit. Also, not satisfied with their professionalism or honesty.

Thank you!!! I called ahead on Saturday to repair a zipper on my Parka. Turns out there is more than one "Stitch It" in Metrotown (I mistakenly went to the location near Old Navy). Not only did they match the quote I was given, they also matched the timeframe (1 hr). Quite a feat when there was a line up and the were obviously slammed. I dont live on the mainland and didn't know a good tailor but needed my winter jacket fixed before heading back to the island. Not only were they kind and honest (price/time matching) they did an absolutely beautiful job, not a single stitch out of place! Thank you so very much!!!

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I literally felt like I got robbed. The service felt rushed when I got my suit fitted. They never called me to let me know it was ready. I paid over $100 to get a suit tailored and they did a terrible job. The pants look like MC Hammer pants that needed to be better rehemmed. I can't even wear them in public. And when I went to pick up my suit. Wasted my money coming here. Will probably need to get them rehemmed somewhere else.

Horrendous customer service!!!! Took them 2 weeks to do 0 alterations. Showed up on the day I was supposed to pick up the items at 3pm and they told me to come back after 6pm so they can do a 1 hour rush job. WHAT A JOKE!!! Save your money and don't go there. The worst, took 2 Nike track pants to have the elastic replaced, I asked if it would look like the original and the girl promised me it would. The pants look like my wife did it at home. The elastic is too tight and they are not willing to fix. Wasted $60. Stay away from this place. I can't speak for the other locations but the women here are not friendly at all. Seems like they are doing me a favour by taking my business.

I don't normally write reviews but I was super impressed with the service I received. I had a thick double layered water-resistant vest that was at least 2 sizes too big for me. James Nguyen was really nice and honest about what could be done about the vest. To my surprise, the vest turned out better than I had thought. James definitely went above and beyond. If I ever need something altered again, I'm definitely coming back here.

I ordered a coat online and much to dismay, it did not have pockets. I loved everything else about it so I took it here to see if they could add pockets. I was greeted by an extremely friendly person, I believe his name is Will, and we discussed what I wanted along with the woman who would do the work. Everything was quickly measured and the type of fabric was chosen. I came back a week later for the coat and it was exactly the way I wanted it! Highly recommend for excellent customer service, quality workmanship and it was done on time. Will definitely be back ????

I got fully body measurements done so I could send the measurements overseas to get a custom dress made for my wedding (all the way from Dubai). The measurements were PERFECT - the dress fit like a glove!!!! Highly recommend this place for full body measurements if you're looking for that. And it also didn't even cost that much, I think less than $20. Really appreciate this store - they did a wonderful job and my beautiful wedding dress fit perfectly.

I've been coming here for a over a decade because I don't know where else to go really. They did a great job on a few "euro" hems, other then that every time is just ok, not great. A while ago years back (happened a few times) I would show up a week later and still not complete. A few times jeans would come undone and at least they fix it if I bring it back but got tired of the hem not staying stitched for as long as it should. More often then not, the stitching doesn't seem to meet evenly or neatly. Most recently 3-4 months ago, brought jeans and shirt for hemming and got the same thing described plus what appeared to be oil stains around the hem from presumably the sewing machine. Would not recommend bringing your most important clothes here.

I bought an affordable suit for my wedding day and it didn't quite fit my frame perfectly. I took it to Stitch It at Metrotown and I was helped in a professional manner, I was asked for my opinion, and the woman (sorry, didn't get her name) also suggested I take the sleeves of the shirt and jacket up. My suit was ready for pickup sooner than expected, and the woman and James were there to greet me. James was wonderful, told me I looked like a whole new man, and packed my suit up for me. Wonderful service and outcome, and it was way more affordable than I had even imagined! I basically got a custom tailored suit for an amazing price, and experience. I've already referred a few friends to get their clothes altered there too

LOWEST QUALITY OF STITCHING YOU CAN EVER SEE! I paid $42 to get dress cut shorter! The dress length was the same but the worst part of it is that the stitching was ripping off! Like it does not look the same as the original stitching! I had to take it to Metrotown Alterations where I had to pay another $60 to get it done right! They did a better job. I went back to stitch it to have it re done again and I needed the dress to be picked up the next day but they declined my request and said the earliest is Saturday but my party is Friday. They expected me to MOVE MY PARTY TO SATURDAY SO THEY CAN FIX MY DRESS! I was at AWE! Anyway this shop is ridiculous never again!!!!!!

Worst customer service experience ever!! I was to pick up my tailored clothes 1 week later as scheduled since they were “busy”. When I arrived an hour later to give them the benefit of doubt that they may be running behind, they had not touched any of my clothes that were to be done as mentioned the week before! Instead of apologizing a group of ladies just started talking back and kept saying we are very busy. Which I can understand but why is it that you schedule a 1 week pick up but when its not done and a customer comes in to pick up and complains you can complete it in half hour? 5 pieces total. There was no need to wait one week then. This is a failure on the staffs part and I will not be giving them my business again. I should have understood when I was there initially and overheard the short lady with red dyed hair, who had insulted a teenage girl telling her the reason her prom dress doesn’t sit well is because she is overweight and not her stitching. How rude!? I guess not much changes with the group of ladies there and I now know with my experience. Please consider my opinion before bringing your business to this store.

I went in to pick up the school uniform pants for my kids’ at Stitch It at time I was asked to return, the next business day. This was about an 20 minutes before closing time. My pants were not ready. My kids were going to school the following day so of course panic set in. Elham Ghorbani immediately calmed me down and promised that she would drive everything over to my home after all was done. I couldn’t believe it and to a small extent, I truly didn’t think she would come. Well, Elham did come to my home even at the approximate time she promised. Went to Stitch It at Cloverdale to have jean jacket sleeves altered and cuffs sewn back on after I tried to fix it myself. After being turned down by Tailors Choice in the same mall, I thought the jacket couldn't be fixed. I met Fadia who was so gracious and said it could be fixed, no problem. I've been a customer since 2017 and even though that I admit to be picky, I've never been more satisfied with the quality of alterations since I start having my clothes altered at Stitchit. I actually live in downtown and I go to Metrotown specially to get my alterations done there as I trust their quality of work and honestly don't want to risk ruining expensive clothing on a botched alteration somewhere else. P.S. Most of my alterations have been complex in nature (e.g. shortening of coat sleeves, narrowing pants opening, etc.)

I brought my expensive pant to be fixed they ddidn' do a good job. So I brought it back and the lady a Chinese lady said that she would fixed it and she did when she gave it back to me she said "NEXT TIME DONT COME AND COMPLAINT LIKE RHAT TO GET A FREE JOB DONE " I WAS SO UPSET IM STILL UPSET I told her that I have the money to pay her that I don't need to complaint to get something for free . She said that the job done before costed 5 bucks when I actually paid $11 . After getting upset and telling her if she liked it I would pay it she stayed quiet . You have a store because of us the customers . If you tratt your custstcus like that what can we expect from the service . I would never come back here . I wish I would have never been. I would have preferred to pay those 11 dollars to someone to treat their customers better . Be careful people don't even bother to go there .

I took a dress in couple weeks ago to get the arms shortens and the sides of the waist taken in. The lady's name is Julie (emp#334899). She told me the cost is $60 so I paid and left. When I came to pick up the dress (silky material), there were damages (nits and scrapes) all over the dress (front, back, arms, everywhere). Not only that, the alterations were so poorly executed. The arms weren't straight. They were all wonky. The seams don't line up. I honestly can't believe how horrible it is. I told her i was not happy with it and there were damages all over the dress. This dress was over $300. Her response was, "you said this was a cheap dress, so I gave you cheap discount." Firstly, I never said those words. She was making stuff up to cover up her mistakes. She told me to come in on Tuesday to talk to her manager. Overall, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY EXPENSIVE GARMENTS. The lady that helped me was not professional. She raised her voice, she was defensive, she denied the damages and was absolute ZERO help at all. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I can highly recommend "Stitch It" for any clothing repairs or alterations. I had quite a few garments fixed at this place, including sleeve shortening, re-hemming of jeans and tailored pants, jacket repairs, and taking in waist on several garments, and all the time the quality was amazing. Also, "Stitch It" offers very reasonable prices, and they do the job extremely quickly (often quicker than estimated). Both James and the lady working with him (I'm terribly sorry that I don't remember her name) are very friendly, professional, and willing to help/listen to customers' needs, in my experience. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the service and will not go elsewhere next time I need a tailor's help.

WORST alteration store I have ever been to. They were quick to get me out, they were rude when I didn't like the job they did (uneven hem) and when I asked for a refund because they RUINED my Ralph Lauren gown she (the manager) refused and asked me to never return. I know my dress was ruined because when I took it to another alteration store, they unstitched what Stitch It Clothing had done and the hem was completely uneven. One side was touching the ground and the other was above my ankle. I was no longer able to get the length I wanted because they chopped it off. I WILL NEVER BE BACK AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SPOT TO ANYONE!!!!!!
