Let me start by giving the positive feedback first: The Asian lady who run this business is very nice. But still, you may want to look for other places first before going there for Alterations or Cleaning, and I will explain why. This place is crazy expensive for no reason, wayy more expensive than "Stitch It". I believe this is because of the location. Cleaners & Alterations Clothing Solutions is located 5 minutes walk from "The Kingsway". Now, for those of you who maybe did not know, The Kingsway is one of the richest neighborhood in Toronto, just like The Bridle Path and Forest Hill, there are multi million dollar homes everywhere in The Kingsway. So they jack up the price because they know the people who live there can afford it. You see, rich people don't care about the price like we do, as long as it's convenient for them, they would pay whatever you ask them. But me I just find those kind of things very WRONG. Look at what they did with the city of Vancouver for example, I'm sorry but that is almost MORALLY WRONG to me, and I think Toronto is getting to that level of craziness now. Sad !!
Plus, the nice Asian lady had a very hard time to communicate what the final price would be, I was so lost, I barely understood what she was saying. After I paid, that when I realized how much she has charged me to alter 3 pairs of pants, and it was a crazy amount of money.
I politely told her that I did not understand and I would like to request a refund, I paid with debit card, she refund me the money but kept the HST. She said she had to pay taxes to the government even though I paid with debit card and I did not even leave the place. Crazy! crazy! crazy! So when I got home, I did some research online about that, it turns out that she is wrong, a full refund in Canada means a full refund, so including taxes. A business owner do not pay taxes to the government if the customer requested a refund for a transaction. I'm still very confused.
Oh yeah, there was a very ugly/old customer in the line behind me, he was getting very impatient and upset, he started doing all kind of rude gestures, you should have seen this guy body language, What a JERK!!
Just because you have a lot of money and you can afford to pay $65 dollars to alter a pair of paints doesn't make it OK. And SHAME on Cleaners & Alterations Clothing Solutions for treating everybody like rich idiots.
Also, at this place guys, you have to prepay for the service. Anywhere else you pay when you pick up, but not there, there they take your money first, TRICKY!
Anyway, thanks God there was another nice lady inside who saw everything, she saw that I was just a young guy who's trying to fix his work uniform pants without having to spend a fortune in the process, she suggested that I go to a different location, 5 minute drive from there (Montgomery Alterations and Dry Cleaning) 4746 Dundas St W. I went there, it's a family business, the lady and the man who work there look like a couple, they communicate very well in English (no offense to people who has an accent , I have an accent myself, French is my first language, so that's not the point) . Oh guess what? I paid half of what the Asian lady was charging me for the same work. Never again.
