I *was* in the market for a good quality walking stick and a silk hankie. I am still in the market for the handkerchief, (especially one that I could get monogrammed) for a gift for my son. I found the gentleman minding the store to be exceptionally ill mannered. However, I could forgive this, because I discovered, upon talking to him, that he *is* a northern Scot! That's JUST their nature, I've been told by my family in Dundee. We're a little warmer, down south. In any case... I did find a good walking stick at another store after Mr.Straith fairly chased me out the doorrrrr. Aye... it made me sad. I was hoping to have a wee bit of a word with the man... I find this google review platform to be wholly inadequate to the purposes of writing a straightforward and honest review of this particular establishment. I have survey'd the quality of clothing and goods sold here. Exceptional! Outstanding! Amazing! But, to be honest... the service, and willingness to deal with walk-in trade, leaves something to be desired. My question for Mr.Straith or the Property Owner/Landlord, is this? Do I need an actual letter of introduction to enter the premises? That COULD be arranged. But it's a grrrreat deal of trouble to go to, just to buy a handkerchief. There's no rush on any of this. My dear lad's birthday is not for another few months. That's who I am buying the gift for. But I do like to comparison shop very closely, AND I do my Christmas and Birthday shopping well well in advance of the actual day. Right! There you are. I hope to hear from you, or maybe, I could entice you to come visit with myself and Mr.Zmuda on occasion, to share a wee dram (Polish) and talk things over. There's nothing wrong with being friendly to your neighbors in Canada. Although I do understand from reading my history of Scotland why a Northern Scot would be wary of strangers and so cold. It's not as if one can just forget hundreds of years of historrrry. Aye?
