I brought my off the rack ballgown wedding dress to be hemmed and taken in at the corset. My tailor recommended bra cups to be inserted to help fill in the bust a bit more. All of this cost $380+GST. Also, she completed my bustle for $50+GST and she recommended that I dry clean my dress as well to remove some staining. After all this my dress looked completely new and fit me perfectly! She was very experienced and offered me professional advice for all of my dress complaints. I had no idea what I was doing and the result exceeded my expectations. I will definitely come back and refer her to all of my friends. Well priced, professional and excellent results at Whitemud Tailors!

I had an extremely old suede jacket from the 1950’s. I loved it and wanted to fix the torn shoulder. I brought it in and they patched it brilliantly, and did the other shoulder to match it in case it tears in the future free of charge. Was thrilled with this service. I just picked up my wedding dress after alterations were completed and it is absolutely perfect. Every interaction with the lady here was wonderful. She took in the bust and cups in my dress to make them smaller and it looks like the dress was originally made that way! She hemmed it to the perfect length and did a bustle for me. Very reasonable price for excellent service. The whole thing was completed in 4 weeks! Highly recommend! No nonsense and done right the first time!

Brought a jacket here to get a zipper replaced. The nice woman knew what she was talking about and I felt very comfortable leaving a special jacket in her care. One week later I got my jacket and it's better than new! Will definitely be back!

I had a bridesmaid's dress that was too long in the skirt, too wide across the back, and too long in the torso. It was also a mix of two materials, one of which was more difficult to work with. They did a perfect fit in one go. They also did the work in a short amount of time due to my dress arriving late from a bridal boutique. They were pleasant, polite, and efficient. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend their services.

It was recommended by my sister in law who is getting her wedding dress altered there after her initial seamstress wouldn't make the alterations she wanted.

I called to make an appointment for which they were very accommodating, there was no wait for the appointment when I got there. The staff is so so kind & happy people. A couple weeks later, I went to pick up my dress & it is PERFECT. It is exactly what I wanted. They do beautiful work. If I ever need anything tailored again, this place will be my first choice!

I am pear shaped and have a lot of trouble finding somewhere to get dresses altered, this tailor was no better than others I have visited. Since my top is size 4 and my bottom is size 10, I needed to get a size 10 dress brought in on top. The chest area was quite large. The seamstress recommended putting cups in, which I was opposed to because if boons come out of nowhere, it looks unnatural. I'm ok with the fact that I have a small chest. Since I just wanted the dress to fit, I eventually agreed to the cups. After 3 weeks and $100, I went to pick up my dress today. Waist and hips fit, chest is still huge, now with floating cups. I was informed that the chest area can't be brought in, the dress was made with "a big chest". Now I am 4 days away from being a bridesmaid, out $100 with a dress that doesn't fit. I would'nt recommend this place if you have curves! They don't know what to do with them.

Whitemud tailors has now saved me from two potential wardrobe catastrophes. She was able to take me last minute, same day, and the work is flawless. I thought my dress had been ruined from an alternative tailor’s work in the city, but Whitemud Tailors was able to repair the damage and redo the work properly in only two hours. The dress now fits perfectly. Outstanding job. Extreme generosity. She removed the other tailor’s buttons and repaired the holes, she added seamless invisible buttons, altered the shoulder seams, altered the sleeves, steamed and pressed this floor length gown, and had it in my hands in under two hours on a busy Friday in the middle of wedding season. She can seriously do wonders. .

After much research, I took my son’s grad suit to Whitemud Tailors for altering. The suit needed quite a few alterations. The pants required tapering and hemming, which were both difficult as there was a decorative trim both down the side seam as well as on the bottom. The jacket needed to be taken in as well as having the sleeves shortened and the dress shirt required the same. Sophia did an amazing job. She was very conscientious at the fitting and her attention to detail was obvious when we picked up the finished product. She also went out of her way to finish all of the necessary alterations quickly as my son was headed out of town and would not be available to try it on again before the grad. Great tailors are difficult to find, I am so glad that I stumbled upon Sophia and Whitemud Tailors! I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great tailor!
