The person doing the work is a sweet little oriental grandmother (my guess, I didn't ask). She was very professional and did a great job of the alterations. I had very similar work done just a few days later at a well known menswear chain and her work was definitely better. Slightly more expensive but the price difference was definitely made up in terms of time savings!

This is a good place to get pants hemmed. I wish there was a loyalty card like "get 4-5 pairs hemmed, get 1 free", as I seem to need all my new pants altered ☺. I can vouch for the work done by this tailor shop. Additionally, the turn-around time often exceeds my expectation--never a bad thing.

First experience with a tailor in Edmonton. I came in for a simple pant alteration. Got my measurements done quickly and handed back in 2 days. Lady at counter was welcoming and had good customer dealing skills. Decent price and a good experience overall!

Great customer service! She did two suit measurements (renting suit elsewhere for out of province wedding) and wouldn't accept payment for her time. Also had her fix the zipper on a winter jacket and only cost $12 for a new pull. I highly recommend giving your business.

My wife took her dress in for emergency repairs after another tailor botched it and it was done the same day for a very modest cost. Amazingly impressed and would recommend to anyone!

When I came in first time for an estimate, she seemed to know what she was doing so I trusted her with my dress. She told me carefully what needed to be done. As I told her I didn't want to pay too much for alterations, she also offered an cheaper alternative solution. She doesn't speak good English but tried her best to make me understand and to give me advices with my dress. She also gave me discount. Overall I am happy with her work and her services.

First off, I am very particular about the clothes I wear. Specifically, when I find something I like, I wear it until it falls apart. My shoes, my pants, and especially my jackets. So over the last 10-15 years, I have taken a shine to oilskin jackets, the first one I wore for 8 or so years daily until the cuffs started fraying and there were a few stains on the fabric that made it unsuitable for going to town or to dinner. So 5 or so years ago I got a new one from my family as a Christmas gift. Much to my dismay a couple of months ago, the thread holding two panels of the oilskin fabric tore, but that was all that was wrong with it, I wanted it fixed, and knew I could not do a clean job myself. Brought it to the tailors at Ellerslie, and I cannot not tell which side was the one they fixed. Then rewind a week ago, and I used a VERY old wool jacket that my great-grandfather once owned for an interview I had to go to. Much to my dismay, the internal lining tore in the arm. Again to Ellerslie, and they repaired that tear, and a bunch of smaller tears I didn't notice the first time around, but the lady took care of free of charge. I see there are quite a few bad experiences with these tailors on this review page, but from my experience, the tailors at Ellerslie saved one jacket that had 5 years of sentimentality and another one that had 80. Which for me, is a definite win.

You destroyed My Dress

I recently went into this hole in the wall to have a dress of mine Altered and Hemmed. When I went in to pick it and pay the personnel that run this place they absolutely destroyed my dress and refused to help sort things out or give me my money back. If anyone is reading this you’d probably have a better turn out getting Stevie Wonder to attempt a dress alteration.

She is seriously amazing at what she does! I brought it my wedding dress after someone did a botched/messed job on it. I thought my dress was a goner for sure! She worked so hard on it and poured her heart into it because (in her words) it is bad lucky to buy a second dress. I can not thank Ellerslie Tailors and Alterations enough!! She saved the day ????????

Worst worst service. Its not my fault that you can't measure properly. I came back with wrong sized pants. All she said was "not my fault, you have to pay again" If this is how you make money.. ah ha. You will see how long you are gonna survive. I wanted pants shorter than you suggested. But came up longer than the average. Nice Job old lady. -------------------------- Yes now you do remember that i wanted to make it shorter than average. You didnt even wanna take a look. The first thing came out of your mouth was "you need to pay again" My hemmed pants were even longer than average even though i wanted it shorter. You didnt even wanna take a look at it. This is not how you service your customers

Would I go back there again to get an XL shirt tailor? No, I would not. Would I recommend this place to anybody for any type of tailoring? No I receive a shirt as a gift for xmas, but the shirt was a bit too long. I brought it at this place to make it fits me. I walked out with a 50 bucks bill, so I will never go back again

Save your money, take your clothing elsewhere. Brought pants in to be hemmed and now I have 4 pairs of jeans that are too short to wear. Such a waste of money
