We had our wedding at the end of May 2021. After hearing about Slabotsky’s from some local wedding groups I knew I had to check them out first, and I am so glad I did. I have been in wedding parties that went through the big chain retailers like Men’s Warehouse and Jos. A Bank in the past and I have been left disappointed each time going through those types of stores. It was a breath of fresh air to work with Slabotsky’s, a local menswear and tailor in Kansas City. Bruce and his team are exceptional with their skill, service, and product. My biggest priority was that I wanted to be able to buy my wedding suit and not just rent, so Slabotsky’s ended up being the perfect choice. There are several color and style options to choose from and the best part is that tailoring is included in the package. The base wedding package of a jacket and pants is a fantastic deal at about $200 (to purchase!), and you have the option to add on vests, shirts, ties, etc. for an additional cost. I had two local groomsmen and two from out of town and we were able to get the out-of-town guys fitted just days before the wedding. Overall, the experience going through Slabotsky’s blew me away. I would highly recommend their services to everyone and look forward to doing business with them again soon.

The team at Slabotsky's did a great job fitting us all and they were able to get all the alterations done in time for the wedding and even made some last minute corrections for us with no hassle. Would give them 0 stars if I could. Terrible and rude service. They outsource the tailoring to someone with no time management skills, waited for over an hour for someone to "get there in five mins". When I asked if they had talked to the tailor and if he was coming in after waiting for over an hour the snarky young lady at the front told me I should have waited to be told to come in, which I was told to come in on MONDAY this was WEDNESDAY. They also didn't have the Grooms suit ready until the day before the wedding and blame the customer for quick turn around times when they set the try on time schedule. Peoples time clearly isn't important to this business. Go to Kohl's and get better service and a better suit.

If you are looking for a suit for your wedding this place is super helpful, super affordable and the best part is you keep the suit! The owner Bruce took personal care of me and my best man. Unlike other rental places that just take a few measurements and stick you in a suit, he made sure we looked the best we could! I’m a bigger guy and I’m average height so usually get stuck with big shoulders and baggy gross pants. Bruce tapered the pants and put me in a 44 short with some alterations. Man for the 1st time I felt great in a suit which made my wedding day awesome. Thanks Bruce! Side story: between the time I ordered and when I went to get fitted there was a bit of confusion on what color I wanted. He had written down one color and there was another color input in the computer. I honestly couldn’t remember which one I liked better when he called to verify so I just picked one. Well to make sure I was happy he ordered both colors for both me and my best man. Glad he did because I went with the lighter blue and my best man went with the darker blue.

Excellent service! I ordered 4 suits here for my wedding, great quality at a great price! I got so many compliments on my suit. Everything came in on time and fit perfectly. The ladies and gentlemen in the store were super friendly and helpful. You can basically buy a tailored suit for roughly the same price as you will pay to rent one for a night elsewhere which is what sold me. Stop in and check them out, you won't be let down.

After one of the suits was all pinned, my husband decided not to get it tailored after all and the owner offered to remove all of the pins and press the suit. Everything fits perfectly now. My fiance has bought a few suits and had tailoring done here a few times, so when it came time to pick suits for our wedding, it was a no brainer to come back here. We were so excited to pick out the suits and Bruce provided some fantastic recommendations on suits, color pairings, etc. He even gave us a really helpful timeline on when to order, since we have some out of town guys who will need to be fitted. He really knows his stuff and cares about customers. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone and we don't go anywhere else for men's formal wear!

I tried to stop by last week to get a suit for my fiance. We arrived about 45 minutes before the shop's posted closing hours, after paying money to park in a garage. The front door was locked, with no sign indicating why, and all the shop lights were on. When I called, the man who answered the phone told me the shop would be closing early in about ten minutes, despite the fact that I was standing outside the locked front of the store at that moment. I had called previously to see if I should make an appointment, and I was told no, walk-ins are fine. So I was incredibly disappointed to be turned away, after wrestling with rush-hour traffic to get downtown. You have lost my business. I know this is a small business, but when the location is difficult to get to with traffic and parking, it is very frustrating to be turned away. We will be getting a suit elsewhere.

Why anyone would rent a suit for their wedding for $150-$200 from somewhere when they can OWN a suit from here for the same price is just beyond me. I just had them outfit my groomsmen for my wedding last weekend, and they were outstanding. The suits were quality fabric, well-tailored, and the folks that work there are great.

I must say the clerk is very fast and friendly and keeps it real with you for the most part he will cut you a deal and maybe some slack when it comes to bringing in your clothing material and "Jimmy" one of the main tailor's in that store will let you know if he can fix it or not they will not rip you off or screw you over they mean business these guys r good that getting your stuff back on a certain date is always gonna be estimated from day after day and week after week these guys are so swamp with customers that it's funny because it's too good of a business to not want or need them for there services they give reasonable prices and fair estimations and over all it's located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri were a lot of people have come to like them for there industrial life style of choice and taking pride in what they do if people can't get something done right the first time they can try again the next there is no doubt in my mind the goods and services come and go but these guys may not be located in this same area forever I just know that I have to enjoy this company while I can ????

Had a wonderful experience. Called Bruce the Thursday before an out of town wedding on Monday needing two suits for my father and brother and he not only ensured us they could pick it up by the time they left Saturday morning but took his time making sure they had the right fit. My review is a couple years late but better late than never. My dad passed away on a Monday and I needed a suit for the funeral that weekend. When my wife called and talked to Bruce he said he likely wouldn't be able to meet that deadline. When she advised him what it was for and the situation he told her to get me in there that day and he would make it happen. My brother also joined and got a suit as well and Bruce lived up to his word and got both suits measured and tailored in time to be picked up that Friday. Bruce made a terrible time bearable with his excellent customer service and understanding. Before the pandemic began, I went to Mens Warehouse with my wife for our tuxes. When the pandemic was in its thick in summer of 2020, they were closed and had no lines of communication open. I held out hope until 4 weeks before our wedding. I was then referred to Bruce and his team at Slabotsky’s. Now I wish I would’ve gone there first. Bruce immediately got me and 10 other groomsmen and ushers equipped, not to mention the fact most of these gentleman lived in Texas or Louisiana so they had to send in measurements. The price is a steal for the quality and cut of these suits. People still comment on how well the suits fit and how stylish they were. Do yourself a favor and go see Bruce.

Everything was last minute. My father in law cancelled his suit because it took so long. I understand with everything going on in the world today that everyone is backed up, but that's no reason to have poor customer service and be rude to my fiancee. He told her "that you're no different than any other bride." Then I was told it was a custom fitted suit. It was ordered to fit, then slightly altered. I would not suggest this establishment.
