Worst curbside retail experience yet. Domicile has been sieged by ants over the long weekend, so an order was placed on Sunday at 1am. Long weekend delays, fine, order is ready on Thursday for pickup. I drop by, and wind up waiting a full hour as others come and go, recieving their orders promptly. No matter, I am just happy to be getting served. When my attendant arrives they apologise for the wait, and explain that they had to repick my order, which caused the delay. Cool, I ask them to leave it in the back to make my way home. When I arrive home I check the bag and receipt and find a bunch of random supplies I did not purchase totalling to double what I had already been charged via Credit. Very confused, I return only to have no area for customer service, so I enter the building to be yelled at by 3+ employees while I explain that I need customer service, I am told to wait outside. 5 minutes later Janice comes out to try to help, god bless, but by that point I have waited 4 days, a whole hour in their parking spot waiting for a pick, and I have to return into the chaos that is curbside pickup to be yelled at and have to wait an additional 10 minutes for my order to be picked manually by Janice. She deserves a raise, but everyone who yelled at me honestly deserves a reprimanding because there is literally no signage outside directing customers to customer service - literally everything is on your company, yet I am being yelled at for trying to receive what you have already accepted payment for... Maybe management deserves a lashing, the workers seemed to be incredibly stressed, which can only be attributed to mismanagement. Avoid Canadian Tire during lockdowns. They can't even manage their own ERP to keep up with customer demand, so their employees don't even have a chance to do their jobs well. A truly shameful day in retail. I will not be returning, it isn't worth the stress, quite frankly.

For the population of KL this Canadian tire is quite small, I came from half the size of town with a cdn tire three times its size.... So needless to say I didn't find any of the important things I was actually looking for...

If you read any of my reviews you will know I am a general positive reviewer pointing out good places. I felt compelled to give an honest poor review of Cdn Tire Kenora after visiting there yesterday around 430pm (Sat Aug 4). I wanted to return 2 identical metal rings. Each $4. One pack opened so i could try it. One pack unopened as purchased a few weeks ago. I had all the packaging, the unused metal ring, my bill and the Cdn Tire money. While waiting at the Customer Service Desk they had a long line of 5 US fisherman wanting to get fishing licenses. There was 1 clerk at the desk. It was taking the clerk several minutes to serve each fisherman. My wife had gone into the store to look for a curling iron. I looked around me and there was a ton of staff walking around the aisles. I asked one if I could get assistance to do the return since I didnt need a fishing license, i was told no and they walked away. When my wife came back about 15 later I had barely moved. She said there are staff walking all over the store trying to look busy. I pointed out the now huge line at the one and only cash. My wife went off to find someone who could help us. And now the biggest reason I am writing. One of the fishermen ahead of me paid his $68.50 Cdn bill with $70.00 US. The clerk gave him change of $1.50. The fisherman didnt say anything. I said to the clerk...do you not give a fair US exchange rate? The clerk said no. Local management decides there is no exchange rate. I could not believe this. The fisherman asked me what the exchange rate was. I said buddy i am very sorry but you just got ripped off at least 20%. He was shocked. I was appalled. US tourists are one of the main lifebloods of Kenora and to rip off them so you can pocket the difference is wrong. Plain wrong. When I finally got to the front of the line a new clerk scrutinized my return and my packaging and mumbled it was a mess all with a scowl. I mentioned the ring was shrink wrapped in their packaging so in order to take it out it was almost impossible to keep the packaging pristine. It was very repackagable btw. She continued to process me with plenty of negative attitude. I got my refund. I will not be shopping Cdn Tire Kenora again. I do not like the way mgmt runs the store...poor staff training/motivation, staffs key areas and rips off tourists. As i left one of the fishermen was outside and we discussed how to avoid being ripped off in the future. He was appreciative that I was representative of what he knew Canadians were really like.

TLDR; Spent a combined total of about 5 1/2 hours and ended up leaving the second day with the exact same setup I drove in with 4 hours earlier. The worst customer service and automotive experience I've ever had. Thursday. Blow tire. Put on spare. Drive 50km and make it to Mattawa. Friday morning. Go into North Bay. Go to Canadian Tire. Tell them Id like 2 new rims and 2 new tires. Guy continuously asking what's on my car now, and I tell him it doesn't matter because I want new rims and tires that fit the 16 inch rim... I had 15 inch rims before (it's factory 16). Sure enough, I finally tell him and he gives me the same dimensions of tire from the 15, but on a 16, which means it doesn't fit properly and rubs when I turn or hit a bump. Took about 2 hours to get 2 tires. Monday. 12:30pm Explain the tire situation. They're gonna replace them with the correct tire. Explain that I also want 2 new rims and tires on the back, so everything matches...also an alignment. Estimated time is 60-90 minutes. I live 6 hours away so nowhere to go. Decide to walk and get food. 1:45. Get a call. "So we're putting on 2 tires?". No. Explain they're replacing 2 and installing new rims and tires in the rear...and the alignment. Apparently the guy forgot to turn the page. Finds it. Estimated time 60-90 minutes. 2:45. Get a call. The tires they were gonna put on only have 3 in stock. They're gonna upgrade my tires for free. Great. Estimated time 60-90 minutes. 3:30 Get a call. The tires they were gonna upgrade to aren't the right size. They'll check for more and call back. 3:45 Arrive at Canadian Tire They have no tires that will fit my car (even though the guy showed me a list of tires earlier and refused to put the stock 195/55/16 size on). They decide they're just gonna put what I had when I drove it in and I should go to a performance tire place if I want tires. (...it's a ford fiesta with stock everything) 4:15pm The mechanic is finally finished putting my original tires back on, fills them with air, and drives it out. I now have to drive for hours with 2 different tire sizes, 2 different tire types (all season front and winter rears), and the tires possibly damaging my car.

Terrible customer service from the auto shop. Treated very rudely by two of the senior staff members there as soon as we walked in (I believe one was named Dave). And they put one of our tires on wrong! The tread is facing the opposite direction as it is supposed to be. And they didn't balance our tires, though they charged us for it! Other staff who do not work in that department were helpful but I will NEVER take a vehicle here ever again.

Good service and high quality product, but my card declined 3 times before finally working on their debit machine. I don't know if the cashier hit the wrong button or the machine was just being stubborn, but it was a small inconvenience that wouldn't make a bad day any better. Come here if you're feeling lucky, but for supplies for smaller projects like figurines or models I recommend PVRC over Canadian Tire, I know the owner and he has products made for those smaller hobby options AND larger auto products

In my opinion, PEOPLE from my own experience check your fluids after doing oil change etc.I brought my car in to the shop they flushed my power steering without authorization and DIDN'T FILL IT back up. A month later i had bought a used car and the old owner bought it to Canadian tire the day before i bought it and the next day i checked the power steering fluid and sure enough its bone DRY!so its clearly common practice at this shop to upsell or make you come back.Really I am not sure what the motive is behind that but it is disgusting. This could cause extensive damage to your car and its not safe.FYI MY CARS don't have power steering leaks .I WOULD never take my car their again not even for a tire change.RATED 0

Got my car worked on there today. This morning they said there were no appointments until the next day and then I drop it off and they say well maybe we can have a look at it turns around they looked at it and fixed it in a few hours. The problem was the horn they installed wasn't working properly and the serpentine belt came off after the alternator they put on. I was going to put the belt on myself but I noticed the air conditioning belt was still on there and it was a difficult task to remove it then put the serpentine belt on and put the AC belt back on so I took it to Canadian Tire to have them look at the horn anyway. I got a bill for a starting charging inspection of $35 and a bill for an air conditioner compressor belt for 5 0.33. I get in the car I drive at home the air conditioner don't work now and the horn still doesn't work. Not happy will change my review if tomorrow they fix everything

Just finished a big shop here today, myself and another gentleman we’re waiting in the cash area when a man I assume was the manager stepped up and ran a till while he waited for another cashier to arrive. I let the gentleman behind me go first as he had only two items, I then proceeded to the other cashier when he was free. A minute later, the ‘manager’ approached as I was putting the last of my items into my cart, he asked me if I’d like help to my vehicle! Wow! I said I was fine, but wow! I brought my minivan in here to fix because I had noise in the front end they told me that my passenger front bearing needed replacing and that it had the wrong size bolts on it. They estimated to repair it for $500. I told them to give me my van back. Reluctantly they gave it back to me. So I brought it to St. Jean Auto Services, North Bay. I was so fed up with this crazy freezing rain and snowy weather we have that I went to Canadian Tire and I bought a cover for my windshield for my automobile. I am so tired of scraping. The first night I put it on there was a tornado wind but I managed to put it on even in the wind. I thought if it stays on overnight in this Gale then it's a good item. It stayed on! Curbside ordering is broken. You are charged before they even check if its in stock and the you get a confirmation email that your order is ready. Travel down there to find out the main Item you went for isn't available, even though it was in stock in the app. once in a while I can understand but this has happened both visits now. But charged even though it's not available. Not bad being I live in town, but if someone is travelling a half hour on a weekly trip would be quite a waste of time.

i find this store lacks talent. most staff have no idea about their isles or even what they sell in their isles. the store manager lacks huge in how to communicate with her employees therefore is why the store has issues keeping staff. it has went threw 3 owners in a 5year span . i worked here this store is not organized at all for its inventory . and automotive is i pure joke as its garage hands are kids and there lead mechanic is a drunk . there front desk staff member thinks hes alll that when hes gotta be the rudest ahole ever ....the manager is decent ....alll in all avoid this store if possible

(I had to move several baskets during shopping, I counted 15 in all in the store) ... I was speechless at her attitude, maybe she had heard me say to my wife at how unseen I had ever seen such a mess in a Canadian Tire! In short, once badly taken I will go back but if you have the chance to avoid it. ..A surprise visit from the managers would be in order! In the current Covid situation, I would have liked a clean store and that the lady stays at least 1m or that she has a mask before approaching so close to my face (Original) Le Canadian Tire le plus à l'envers parmi tous ceux que j'ai visité. On dirait un magasin de liquidation sur le point de fermer. Je m'y suis rendu un vendredi 3 juillet en après-midi lors d'une visite à La Tuque, les employés étaient sympathiques dans l'ensemble sauf une employée d'un certain age qui a agrippé un panier de de marchandises en me disant agressivement : je suis capable de le tasser moi-même à 6 pouces du visage alors que je commençais à le déplacer afin de pouvoir passer. Disappointed. I ordered and paid for 4 tires online and then booked installation with the automotive service department at the store. A week and a bit later, I show up for my appointment they tell me that they sold the tires to someone else the day before. No messages left on my phone and they wouldn't honor the price I paid online for an equivalent tire, as the tires I bought were discontinued. I voiced my dissatisfaction with the manager, who then told me to "Have a nice day" when I left.
