Nile Bridal was amazing to deal with! My wedding was planned in 2 months, and the second I bought my dress I had no idea where to bring it. A couple of people suggested Nile Bridal and it was the best decision. I called to book an appointment and she squeezed me in the same week. I went in for my first appointment and she was very good at making suggestions and what the dress would look like in the end. We made the second and final appointment and day and they were all great. My dress now fits perfectly! She was even able to undo some of the mistakes from the last seamstress/dry cleaners which was even better! Definitely recommend.

Amazing service. She worked on my lace wedding dress last summer. She was quick and got me in last minute. Took out the zipper and put in a corset. She took in the shoulders and matched the lace perfectly. The hem was perfect. All the work she did on my dress was perfect. Even the cleaning and preserving. I took my wedding dress in for alterations, it needed to be taken in significantly through the chest and waist, and I wanted bra cups added. The top layer of the dress is all fine lace and beadwork, so I was a bit nervous. I felt at ease as soon as I walked into her shop and saw dozens of other bridal gowns. Suh is incredibly talented and very friendly. I was in no rush for my dress, as my wedding is not until January, but I went in early October and she had it ready one month later. It fits perfectly and looks incredible! I'd highly recommend her services for other brides in need of dress alterations. I will definitely go back for any future tailoring or alterations as her prices are very reasonable and she's so friendly.

It is not hyperbole to say that Su and her team at Nile Bridal and Alterations saved my wedding. She transformed my wedding dress from an ill-fitting, painful-to-wear nightmare into the dress of my dreams on an impossibly tight timeline. I had bought my dress and had alterations completed from a local salon. Throughout the alterations process, however, it became clear that the salon seamstress didn't understand how to alter the dress to best suit my body - the bodice gaped in the bust and the dress' boning dug into my rib cage. When I communicated these issues to the salon, I was told that this was the best they could do, and it was because of my body shape that the dress couldn't lay flat across my chest. When I took my dress home from the salon (after 4 fittings), I hated it, and I couldn't imagine wearing it all day on my wedding. I met Su in early May when I brought her a few dresses I needed altered for my honeymoon. Immediately when I met her I was impressed by her understanding not only of her craft, but also of the female body (a key component of actually making a dress look good on a woman!). Su is a stickler for the perfect fit - when, for example, one of the dresses I brought in still seemed a little loose on one side (as it turns out, one of my shoulders sits a little lower than the other), she altered it on the spot, and then had me try it on again to make sure it was perfect. It was during this impromptu second fitting of the honeymoon dress that I told her I wished she had done the alterations on my wedding gown (this was Friday, May 17 and I was leaving on Monday, May 20 for my destination wedding). Su asked what I meant, and I told her about my wedding alterations experience and showed her some pictures of my ill-fitting gown on my phone...And she told me to come back that night with the dress. Su and her assistant Thuy worked late into night to rework my dress, and were able to transform my uncomfortable mess of a dress back into the dress I initially tried on and fell in love with. I could -- finally!! - see myself getting married in this dress, could see myself dancing the night away in this dress. And, on May 25, that's exactly what I did. :-) I happily wore the gown of my dreams to marry the man of my dreams. The dress fit perfectly, and it felt so comfortable and light. This is all the more incredible when you consider that Nile Bridal and Alterations had only 24 hours to effect this miracle, while also dealing with multiple other clients. Su is a consummate professional with an unparalleled degree of personableness and kindness. Her work is meticulous and also intelligent - her suggestions on how to alter garments to best fit reflects a deep understanding of their materials and construction. Suhaiba is incredible when it comes to alterations! My wedding dress was altered and ready in a week, which was not something the bridal shop I purchased the dress from could even come close to offering me. The service at nile was amazing. We went here to get my daughters grad dress hemmed. She chose a dress with a really elaborate floral design. Her dress was to wide around the chest, waste and to long. Not only did they do an incredible job at fixing my daughters dress while maintaining the pattern but she also made the straps removable and created a matching Covid mask out of the material she had previously removed. All together I loved my experience there and I would definitely return with the next dress I need hemmed

From my fiancé: If I could give Nile Bridal 20 stars I would. I had taken my dress for my engagement photos to another seamstress as a test run before I let someone work on my couture bridal gown. Well it was a disaster, as in I had to buy a new dress. After reading multiple amazing reviews on Nile Bridal, I booked an appointment for a quote. I had emailed Suhaiba explaining that I was feeling very anxious and worried about my wedding dress after have a terrible experience at another tailor. Suhaiba asked if it would be okay to phone me. Not only did she phone me to walk me through the process and to help calm my anxieties, but she did it after her work hours. As soon as I got to Nile Bridal for my 1st appointment I felt amazing. She is so friendly and welcoming, and she walked me through the entire process. She treated my dress with the utmost care. She noticed things on my dress that weren’t right (from the manufacturer) and said I’m going to fix this and this, and explained how she could fix certain things (If I decided to). She was also very honest, and when I asked about certain things told me she could do them if I really wanted, but wouldn’t recommend them. Her knowledge and talent is undeniable, her care and love for her work and clients is undeniable. My alterations were worth every single penny, and I now have my go to lady for any future alterations. My MOH and I went to Nilce Alterstions to have our dresses altered and had a fantastic experience! They are all so warm, kind and welcoming! Especially the owner! What a nice lady! She really went above and beyond to make this a one of a kind experience! I felt like a friend as soon as I walked in, even getting a hig when I went to pick up the dresses. :) she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, such as suggesting I put on my accessories to get the full bridal effect (which meant a lot to me) and helping and giving pointers to my MOH on my corset back dress to make her life easier the day of! And when my MOH's dress needed more altering (she had lost weight since the last fitting) she made sure it was perfect! Such quality work, for an amazing price! My dress fits like a glove and I know the beading on the bodice added a lot more work, but it looked better than before, after alterations! They even fixed a bead they noticed was lose when I tried it on again after alterations when I wen TV to try it on and pick it up! And my MOH loves her dress as well! In my opinion, Nile Alterations is BY FAR the BEST place for alterations in Winnipeg!!

I met Suhaiba at the 2018 Wedding Show. I was inquiring as to whether or not she could remake a dress that belonged to my mother. My plan was to wear this dress for my daughter's wedding. I made an appointment and she literally pinned every seam and made suggestions for updating the dress. She completely remade the dress, with beautiful work and care. I was very impressed with her abilities to fit the dress to my shape. A month or so after, I also had her take up the slack in some straps and add darts to a knit sundress. These were her suggestions and they absolutely made the difference in how this dress fit after her alterations. My daughter chose a second-hand veil from Suhaiba which was a fraction of the cost of a very similar one in a bridal retail store. I definitely recommend her.

I had my wedding dress altered (taken in, added crinoline, put in a button for the bustle, and bra cups put in) before the wedding and dry cleaned after the wedding. All of the alterations were amazing and done perfectly. Since it was an outdoor wedding, the bottom of my dress got muddy - but she even dry cleaned all of the mud and dirt stains from the bottom of my dress! My friend recommended Nile Bridal and I am so glad I decided to get my dress altered here. I brought in my wedding dress during the busy months(May) and her work was still spectacular. One thing I wasn’t prepared for was the multiple fittings. I thought I would have only had to come twice, to drop off/measured and pick up but I actually ended up going three times. To be fair through, I believe multiple fittings is typical though with other alteration places. Although the drives there were far, definitely worth it. Was so pleased with her work, I ended up going here as well to get my dress dry cleaned and preserved! Su was a pleasure to work with and would definitely recommend her to my friends!

Nile Bridal SAVED my wedding day! I purchased my dress (size 10, very fitted dress) in November and I found out a few weeks later I was pregnant. Unfortunately I could not cancel or change my dress order... I brought it to Nile Bridal roughly 5-6 weeks before my wedding (June 24, 2018) but because I would be growing by the week she couldn't do any major work or final adjustments until the WEEK OF the wedding. I am so happy to have found Nile Bridal & Alterations! Suhaiba was wonderful to work with and she always had a smile on her face. She definitely knows what she is doing! She listened and was very patient with us (I had to bring my two daughters along). I had four items that needed alterations; two that I needed within a week and the other two were not a rush. While I slipped into a dress that needed alterations, she had immediately fixed one of the other no rush items on the spot!!! It was my daughter's favourite tutu dress that had come apart and my daughter was so happy that she put it on and wore it for the rest of the day. The other three items were fixed within the time that I needed and I am very happy with them. For one of the dresses, Suhaiba suggested I take in the sides and hips for a better fit and I'm glad she did, because the dress fit like a dream and I got many compliments :) Her rates are very reasonable too. I definitely will be going back to Nile for all my alterations and recommend that you give them a try!

I was quite stressed as I bought a dress in Toronto and it had a lot of intricate beading. She is so professional and so kind - you can tell how much she cares about her clients. I can't give Nile Bridal enough praise! Sue is a highly-skilled tailor. She did very intricate work with my lace dress to perfection. She really cares as much as you do about making sure you look your best. She's kind, professional, and works quickly. Her place is clean, the lightning in the room is lovely, and she followed all covid protocols (my dress was tailored over summer 2021 for a sept wedding). I went to Thawheba for my graduation dress alterations, and then later on for my wedding dress in 2018, and she did such a beautiful job for both! I was nervous for my wedding dress because it needed quite a few changes in length and sizing, but I felt so at ease with her! She was so sweet and really good at capturing your vision for what you want. Not to mention she is super funny! To say that Suhaiba was like a fairy godmother to me would be un understatement. But first let me give you some context on how i found her. I had a terrible encounter with a seamstress who destroyed my dress with about 6 weeks left till my wedding date. She was clearly not as qualified as she had claimed to be. I had done my homework looked at photos asked all the questions i needed to ask but apparently i was not thorough enough. I guess i should have known when she came with no pins or tape or anything to take measurements, and the encounter took all of 5 minutes before she whisked my dress away assuring me that she would make sure that it would be perfect. I had not heard from her in a month and checked back in and she assured me it would be fine. 6 weeks to wedding day. we met again for final alterations and it did not fit, she informs me that she cut too much off and could not fix it, she then accused me of gaining weight and it was my fault even though i had actaully tracked my weight loss and inches and the dress should have actually needed to be taken in PLUS it was a lace up back. shock, anger, sadness, rage, im not sure how many emotions i went through that day. I was up all night and honestly it was like God heard my prayers and Suhaiba's page popped up on my feed and i thought why not, ive literally got nothing to loose at this point, every other seamstress had written it off and told me to purchase a new dress, even the bridal store where i purchased it. I called her and explained my situation and she calmly assured my that it could be salvaged. I went over the next day with my dress, and the kindest, woman met me at the door and ushered me into her studio, she sat me down and listened to me tearfully explain my situation and anger towards the first seamstress. She told me that everything has a solution, and as long as i was patient and able to let go of my resentment beautiful things can happen. 2 hours we spent going over the ways to alter it she pinned and pinned and folded and bustled, and she gave me the peace of mind i needed to know it would be ok. Over the next couple of weeks we met, she pinned, stood back, pinned, and asked me how i felt about every snip, pin, and bustle, all the while building my self confidence, the day before my wedding i went back to get my dress and when i put it on i felt tears rush to my eyes, she had completely transformed my dress into something better than the original prior to the massacre. It fit me like a glove. She not only transformed my dress but my heart, her gentle spirit reminded me that there are incredible people on this earth, earth angels that show us the good in people.
