My (expensive) winter jacket zipper was popping open at the end of last winter and I forgot to get it fixed before it got cold. So I looked up a tailor nearby and resigned myself to dropping it off and running back out to the car without it. They are ok but not very accommodating. I wanted to put a simple pocket in a pair of loose fitting pants. There was a seam on the side so it seemed easy but I’m not a seamstress. They were going to charge 25$ for a pocket. I couldn’t understand why so much. So I didn’t leave them there. I had another pair of pants hemmed. It was ok but at home I noted that one side was lose and I had to stitch it up. I didn’t mind doing so but it shows lack of care or something.

Fantastic seamstress place! I got my wedding dress altered last minute, and they were so accommodating. My wedding was on Saturday.. brought it to them on Weds and it was ready by Friday. I was 7 mo. pregnant at the time, and my dress wasn’t maternity, so the slight alterations were perfect! Before photo: it had sleeves, was too tight around my waist, and didn’t quite fit under the arms. After photo: zipper was let out, sleeves were removed, and extra hook added to top to better fit under arms. Fantastic experience, great prices, fast work! Would recommend to anyone!

And when I wasn’t available to pick up before the provincial shut down, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND and delivered my coat to my door so I wouldn’t be without a coat! Amazing service. Friendly staff. My go-to place for complicated and simple tailoring jobs. Their prices are reasonable and the service is fast and friendly. I’ve referred friends who are also super happy with the work they’ve done. They have done numerous alterations on dresses, pants, shirts, jeans, etc for myself and my husband and we have always been very pleased with the care they take in their work. I have never been disappointed. Last week they made leather slip covers with non-slip lining for my lazy-boy chairs and the results were excellent, exactly what I wanted and they fit perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about Kim's Tailoring. The day before I had to leave for a wedding I was a maid-of-honor in I found out my dress was too big. Yes, my fault. I honestly have no idea how it slipped my mind to get it fitted, but it did. I went to 3 places and called 3 more and all of them said the same thing, "I need at least 3 days to alter a bridesmaid dress with boning in it". Not Kim's Tailoring, I called them and they told me to come in and they would figure it out. Took her a couple of hours and I can't even tell where she altered it, it looks that good. Turns out I lost 3 dress sizes smaller by the time the wedding rolled around and I basically needed to have this dress remade. I recently came in with a very delicate vintage dress i inherited that I needed fitted and was a bit apprehensive about leaving it with anyone because of how much it means to me.. This is literally my first review on any platform but Kim and her team deserves a huge beautiful review. Now, let me tell you what happen (because OMG, let me tell you, my story would be a perfect movie scenario). When I order my wedding dress, I was already a bit late on my schedule (and probably wayyyy to late on any normal bride’s schedule.) I received my dress 4 weeks ishh later but she was to big....not EXTREMELY to big but far from perfect. The biggest issue was the waist which was too low and was sitting on my hips. Believe me, it was not flattering AT ALL! So that waist had to go up at least 1-2 inches. We got lucky we had enough length to make that possible! But after that, the back had to be rebuild. OMG, what a journey!!! Well believe me or not, the team told my not to worry, they will fix everything! They charged me such a small amount for all the work they had to do that I was a big scared... and client kept coming in and out of that little....no, let me rephrase... kept coming in and out of that TINNY LITTLE store!!! And they now what they do and talk about! If they don’t feel comfortable to touch something , they will tell the client! I saw the proof from my own eyes! Anyway, I went back 3 week later since I was not an emergency and WOW!!!! My initial dress was a wow but now, she was a OMFG WOW!!!! That was just a little fitting before she sew the back in place for good!!!! She knew I was sick at that time and didn’t want to take any chances for me to loose more weight. Everything was perfect form my point of view but she’s a VERY meticulous artist (that team deserves the artist title). Last fitting, I was good to go!!! She even removed a small red dot in the back that I have no clue how I managed to do since it was there before I brought the dress to them! For my husband they and to work with the exact opposite of me. I’m a tinny and small and he’s a big and tall. He’s 6’5’’, 20’’ of neck size, 44’’ abdomen circumference, 28 of sleeves length.... so the team modified his shirt obviously. Let’s go back and talk about emergency! I was not an emergency but my mom and 2 of my bridesmaids were! She fixed them all in 1 day! And it was perfect!!! The job was impeccable! Here’s some pictures of the dresse.....it kills me not having pictures of the initial dress but please, believe me, it was wearable but very not flattering and definitely not comfortable! Because of that incredible team, I had a dress in which I felt amazing all day. On a long day like that, where you take pictures after pictures and dance like crazy, the dress change the entire experience!

A few months ago I went to get my clothes altered at Kim Tailors and they did such a great job! I even saw NHL captain of the Philadelphia Claude Giroux and his wife Ryanne there. After picking up my dress for my engagement photos today, I felt compelled to write my first ever Google review. The staff at Kim Tailors are unbelievably professional and accommodating. Even though it was my first time there in years, they made me feel like a regular client by taking their time to understand my needs and make sure everything would be perfect. I dropped the dress off on Monday and asked for it to be ready on Saturday, and when they learned that my fiancé would be the one to pick it up, they were able to rush my order for Thursday so that I would be able to get it myself - they wanted me to be the one to pick it up so I could try it on and make sure everything was to my liking (and, no surprise, it was!). I will feel beautiful and confident in my engagement photos, and a big part of that is thanks to Kim Tailors!
