I'm not sure where to begin, but one thing I can say for sure is how pleased I am with the work John and his team do here. I had a three-piece suit and 2 shirts made. I have a bulkier frame, but I'm shorter, which means that in the past I've wasted money on shirts that don't really fit properly from other retailers. The shirts I got from John fit perfectly and I couldn't be happier. The price on the shirts was fairly reasonable as well and I would recommend you ask about them if you have an unusual body shape like me. As for the suit- wow. The first fitting John and his assistant Nicholas measured and made notes for about an hour with just me in the store. I had a couple of things I wanted on the garment (a ticket pocket, for example), and accommodating those requests was no issue at all. The second fitting I could really see it all coming together, and it was a long two weeks (because of the excitement) until I got to see the finished product which was absolutely stunning. One thing in particular which i was impressed by was the way the bottom of the lapel rolled into the rest of the suit, which I believe- if I may speak from inexperience- is a mark of a very high quality suit jacket. This is not the kind of experience you get anywhere else. My suit was a little bit of a rush, but as promised John got it to me on time for an award show I was attending in Los Angeles. All you need to do is Google search and you'll know that John is the best suitmaker in the city, hands down. That expertise doesn't necessarily come cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for in here- amazing service. If you're thinking of having a custom suit made, definitely check this place out! Thanks again John and Team! I'm sure I'll be seeing you again soon! I may have some professional pictures taken later, but in the mean time I've attached a picture of me at the awards show.

I was very wary of going right to the best men's tailor in Toronto, and outside of NYC, but I am glad I did. I'd heard from friends of the legenday tailor. The cut of my suits - one navy blue, one black and subtle plaid - is the best, form-fitting garments I have ever purchased. And I've had lots of suits over the years. I needed the suits made to make me look slim for TV and media obligations and John delivered in every way. I would say the positive media responses earned back the costs of the suits within the first two weeks of my book tour. Simply, the man is a magician and made me look better than I thought I could. The quality of the material is also unrivaled and, surprisingly, John took the time to teach me how to care for the suits. In all, I will treasure these suits, and as I lose wieght because I feel great, John will take in the garments so they continue to make me feel my best in front of the cameras. If I could rate this 7 out of 5 I would.

A suit is only as good as its tailor--fit is everything. John Ferrigamo Custom Designs (JFCD) understands this tenet. JFCD’s clothes are beautiful and they fit perfectly. Numerous photos and videos online attest to this fact. When I first approached JFCD, I had umpteen questions about their fit and alteration policy. Nicholas, John Ferrigamo’s assistant, politely answered all of my questions and punctuated it with: “...if you are not satisfied with the finished product we will recut the suit till perfected.” That’s exactly what I needed to hear, and I would hold them to it. Weeks after my initial consultation, where I had commissioned a 3-piece suit, I decided to change the lapels from notch to peak, as well as the buttons. Without any fuss, JFCD did that for me. Also, during one of my fittings, I asked for the suit to be slimmer (i.e., the GQ look). While John did slim some parts, he described in detail why tightening the suit in other areas wouldn’t look good on me. I was, and still am, appreciative that he had my best interest, even though it went against my request. In the end, the whole experience was wonderful. I highly recommend JFCD. The clothes they make are gorgeous, they fit perfectly (yes, that needed to be emphasized again), and their customer service is first class.

I visited Mr Ferrigamo's shop recently for a three-piece winter suit. His shop is nestled in the heart of Yorkville, which is conveniently located to numerous tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, and public transit. We had an initial discussion about what I had in mind for a suit. He was very helpful and provided his 30+ years of tailoring experience to assist me with the right fabric and cut. As well, he hopes to pass on his knowledge and experience to his apprentice, Nicholas, who plans to become a master tailor. I would say that the Ferrigamo look combines both English and Italian styles; that is to say, a well-structured cut in bold patterns. In addition to my suit, I purchased two dress shirts, which are very comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The whole experience of getting a bespoke suit done here is amazing. I had a pretty clear image in my head of what i wanted and John understood exactly what i was looking for. The selection of fabrics is huge and i like that he carries both "funky" and modern patterns as well as all the the classic stuff. Writing this review from my wife's account as i dont have a google account. I recently got married in December 2021 and chose John Ferrigamo Custom Designs based off of the stellar google reviews and let me tell you that I was not disappointed. John is a true professional and him and his team are true masters of their craft. Starting off with the fabric options, they are next to none. I had a 3-piece suit designed and the fabric were all of the highest Italian quality. I also had a custom made dress shirt made along with a silk tie and leather belt. I looked and felt like a million bucks! Second, John is an absolute pleasure to deal with. He's very warm, personable and I felt like I was in good hands every time I came in for measurements, fittings, etc. I cant even tell you how many compliments I received on the day of our wedding! The first thing my wife said to me when she walked up to the alter was how handsome I looked, this alone was worth it! Fast forward to January, I took my suit to a professional local dry-cleaner who's been in the business for over 20 years. When i showed up to pickup the suit he asked me where i got the suit from. When i asked "why" he started raving how great quality the suit/fabric was and showed me the inside lining and how professionally cut and stitched it was. He even had the suit chemically cleaned separately from other clients because he didnt want to risk damaging such an amazing suit! John, thank you again for this amazing piece of craft you and your team created for me. It made my wedding day that much more special. I was a first time customer and from our original consultation appointment he made me feel like I had been coming back for years. You can tell how experienced he was when we were selecting the fabric and colour combinations, and deciding on the construction of the coat and pants. The reason I went to him is for the benefit of his knowledge and experience. I also needed my suit in a rush because I was going out of town, so John expedited its completion then met with me at his shop outside of his normal working hours so that I would have it in time. I had been to other tailors in the past (with mixed results) but now wouldn't even consider going to anyone else.
