I took two items to this tailor about a year ago. Both items were ruined. I wanted to turn a favourite pair of bootcut jeans into straight cut, and to have the waist taken in on a pencil skirt. The jeans were taken in solely on one side seam on each leg, so the jean legs now look like the shape of a banana. They look absolutely terrible and bunch up when I put them on. I'll have to make them into shorts as that's the only way to save them. As for the skirt, the waist was taken in at the front centre seam, which now bunches up VERY awkwardly. It should have been darted in the back. It was so bad, that I actually re-bought the skirt in a smaller size. Not only did they ruin the two items, but it was expensive, and I had to go out and replace one of the items. Do not use this tailor.

Over the past few years I have had 3-4 dozen shirts altered here including tapering or converted to short sleeve and have always been very satisfied with the results. In the rare instance when fit wasn't perfect I just brought them back for a slight adjustment, included in the initial fee. Highly recommended!

I was hesitant to bring my wedding dress but a good friend recommended silhouette and I’m so happy she did. The alterations were PERFECT! He even recommended some alterations to the dress that made a huge improvement. Since then, I have brought him all sorts of clothes for alterations and he has made a few custom pieces for me as well.
