VERBALLY AND PHYSICALLY ATTACKED BY OWNER
I had a TERRIBLE experience with this tailor. I don't even believe it should receive the one star that I am required to give to post this.
After the tailor made my top incorrectly and too large, I kindly asked them to fix it, and changed the initial design that I wanted to accommodate their mistake. Rupa, (the women that takes measurements and orders) told me that she would be able to ship me my top once it was fixed since I live out of town. I was grateful that she offered and told her that this wasn't necessary and that I would be able to pick it up a few weeks. She said it wouldn't be a problem to have it sent and that if there were any alterations I would be able to bring it back. A week later, I received my top only to find that it was still too large, had holes and a stain on it. I immediately called the store and took pictures to let them know what I had received. Rupa then said that it was not sent with a stain on it and that this was the fault of UPS and that I needed to contact them. After a long and calm discussion, she agreed to giving me my money back. A few hours later, she asked me to email the pictures to the owner of the store (her husband Krishan) and again told me that I was going to get a refund. I explained the situation and sent the pictures only to receive intimidating and threatening emails back from him. He claimed that I owed him money for the shipment, because his "employee" was not authorized to send the top to me. He also stated that I was not going to receive a refund despite what his wife had said. I then told him that I would be coming to the store on the weekend to bring in the blouse and that I was going to report the incident to the Better Business Bureau (my right as a customer for not receiving the service and product that I paid for). Once I came to the store, it was conveniently closed and I was unable to get my blouse fixed, although Rupa told me that I would be able to get it fixed that morning. I was then left organizing an outfit with only a few hours to spare before the event I needed to attend. We went to the store again and I spoke with Rupa about the top and she explained that the holes and stain were a product of the fabric and again this was my fault. As I was talking to her, my husband took a picture of the business licence number (which is public) and her husband came out from the back physically and verbally attacking my husband. We then called the RCMP and could not believe his behaviour and what was happening. Worse yet, he was doing this in front of our three year old. Once the RCMP arrived, they gave us the business licence number and encouraged us to report the incident.
I am left with a blouse that I can not wear, and have lost $100. The behaviour of the owners of this store is completely disgusting. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE.
