Hello! This review is long over due but Marleta Alteration & Design is absolutely lovely. Marleta is so nice, personable, and does wonderful work. I needed my prom dress hemmed a week before Prom and Marleta accepted my 7 layer dress with open arms during a busy season, charging me a quarter of the sass and price of the other alteration places I had visited. Thanks for the great experience and perfecting my dress!

I feel bad writing a review like this one because the owner and I got along really well. However, I look at my wedding photos and look so incredibly frumpy in a dress that was astonishing when I had tried it on. The part of my dress where the bodice met with the skirt, went so far down my back side, there was no contour nor definition. The dress was designed to be a low back, which it also was not. When we tried to correct it, after my first round of alterations, the only way was to lower the straps... which created sagging in the front. My dress didn’t fit like a glove at all. Even upon arriving to finally pick up my wedding dress a little over a week before my wedding, I had checked my bustle, & needless to say there were still pins in it and it wasn’t sewed. This was my last visit. For a dress that was well over $3,000 and for alterations that costed $600 before my daughters dress.... I just expected a little more. And for someone to have paid attention and wasn’t so rushed. There were parts of my dress on the bodice that were snagged. I honestly don’t even want to talk about it anymore. As for my daughters dress, everything was Lo perfect, minus the buttons that were replaced on the back due to 1 being loose and another missing. Instead of replacing it with the correct color of her dress (ivory) they were replaced with white. So I then had to find another seam stress in town and local to me to fix this the week of my wedding. I think she has wonderful customer service, but as for me, I did not love her work. I’m giving 3 stars because my daughters dress looked impeccable even if i did have to pay someone else to fix something that i had already payed for.

The moment I walked in, she was shutting me down. Didn’t give me time to say what i wanted. I said no for hemming because it was out of my budget, she started taking off the pins from the other area I wanted to alter! I never told her I didn’t want the other service!! It really felt to me she was pushing me away!!!!!!! Worse attitude! I left angry and regret driving 45 mins to be treated like this! I don’t know how anyone gets their services at her place with this customer service! So aggravating!!!

I brought my wedding dress in and was amazed at how quickly it was returned to me and perfectly tailored to my body. These folks were fast, friendly, and affordable. I will be using them for all my alteration and seamstress needs. Thanks for helping me feel my best in my dress and on my big day. I wore it for 12hrs and still didn't want to take it off. The first photo is before and the second is after a night of dancing and fun.

I messages multiple people and they were the only ones to answer thank god! The day I took in my dress was a Thursday and I was on a very tight schedule and the dress was done the next day and looked great! Very professional and I was very very happy with how it turned out. Everyone who worked there were also very nice and patient which was also amazing. Would 100% suggest and would definently go again for anything I need done.

I would highly recommend this place!!!! I just took my wedding dress there after trying a different lady who flat out told me to look into somewhere else and she wouldn't be excited for the project. I was VERY welcomed here, she got me in the same day I called and is extremely knowledgable!

Not only did she make my dress look flawless but she got it all done quickly and efficiently! I was in desperate need for alterations with only a week before my wedding and she got everything done perfectly with days to spare! I do recommend not waiting until last minute like myself because if there should be any problems she'll need time to fix them but she did extraordinary work! Highly recommend!

I would definitely recommend going here for dress alterations. Very quick turn around time only like 5 days, which is nice if you are in a time crunch. Pricing was reasonable and quality was excellent. Definitely will be going back for future alteration needs.

I've come here for most of my day to day alterations. Her prices are fair especially for the job that she does. They really do pay attention to detail. I have had graduation dresses, J. Crew skirts, and House of CB dresses done here and they have always done perfect job. Every time i've gone in they were super efficient. You won't be in there long. I highly recommend!

This was my first time getting alterations for something super important...my wedding dress. I went on a Wednesday, and got everything pinned and ready to alter. My dress was back and ready to roll, just two weeks later! And it fit perfectly, no complaints what so ever. The owner is so sweet and personable. The lady answered and asked about what I needed, when I told her she asked when I needed it and she laughed in my ear. Loudly. Marleta is AMAZING! We came in on a Friday around 5pm I needed two dresses completely altered. I came back on Wednesday thinking I was just doing another fitting and to my surprise she had both do my dresses complete. So extremely disappointed never had to get anything altered got suggested here never again went in took my measurements and the dress now completely feels like it’s shattering my ribs it is so tight I’m in a wedding in may and have no idea to what do mind you I haven’t put on any weight in fact probably lost some from the time she took my measurements ... The dress falls down and am unable to pull it up past a certain point because it is so tight it won’t go any farther so loose around my chest area but right below so extremely tight

I have been going to this tailor over the last few years. Sometimes when I had items altered there were flaws but they weren’t too noticeable and it wasn’t worth to bring it back. The last item I brought was a dress that needed hemmed. It wasn’t hemmed right in the front and I brought it back to have it fixed since it was dragging on be floor. She was rude and blamed the hem on my daughter because I had to pick her up a few times to be held. This may have been a factor I didn’t argue that. I tried to tell her that I wasn’t angry but I needed the dress fixed. She still had an attitude and told me to go put the dress on in a condescending way. I decided I had enough and walked out with the dress. I will never come back, nobody should be treated that way, especially when I did nothing to provoke that kind of behavior from her. Very unprofessional.
