I found Maestro Tailor and its owner Mark through a Yelp search. He had great reviews on TheKnot, Yelp, Facebook, and Google. Originally I was just looking for a great local tailor to make some changes to a suit I had bought at a department store for my wedding. Mark was more than willing to modify that suit for me, but he felt like one of his custom suits might offer a better fit and look. I tried on this suit and loved it. He was able to shorten the sleeves and pant legs in less than a week. This is the nicest and best-fitting suit I have ever owned. Amazing, friendly, and fast!! What more could you ask for? Tailored 4 pieces for me for my Indian wedding. If you know Indian weddings then you know the outfits were elaborate, full skirted, cutaway cropped tops, all covered in elaborate embroidery and beading. The final products were perfect, and this wasn’t just hemming. The heavily embroidered and beaded tops were fitted at the shoulder, neck, and sleeves, while the full layered skirts were taken in at the waist and hemmed without disturbing any of the designs. Truly a master of his craft.

I would best describe my visits with Maestro as an experience. We walked in on a Saturday morning unannounced. Mark was immediately helpful and pleasant. I can't speak for the quality of Mark's tailoring, but I will vouch for his desire to put YOUR needs first. I came in for a bridesmaid dress fitting with the intent of getting it hemmed. He took one look, asked me to walk around in it, and suggested that if I don't plan on wearing the dress again, I should get heels that are just 1 inch higher instead of spending money on alterations. I truly respect and commend him for his honesty, and I would definitely go back for future tailoring needs. He is passionate about his work and building relationships.

I had a unique, and FANTASTIC, experience with Maestro Tailor. After seeing Mark's work online (through George Hahn's great social media content) his craftsmanship seemed really exceptional, and his website and reviews only confirmed his expertise. After picking up poorly fitting garments from my local tailor, in a completely out of character move, I emailed Mark with photos and questions about the fit. He is SO UNBELIEVABLY GOOD at what he does that via email he was able to accurately identify the problem, tell me how to instruct the tailor, and also offer his opinion on the issue. More than his tailoring expertise, however, I was impressed at what a nice and kind human being he is. He got an email from a complete stranger (who lives on the other side of the country), asking him to virtually "work" on garments that were never brought to his store, and for which he would never be compensated. While busy with the holiday season, with all the grace, kindness, and sheer humanity that we want from the world, Mark generously corresponded with genuine interest, attention to detail, and an authentic eagerness to ensure that I was happy with the final fit of the garments. It's more than obvious to anyone with a set of eyes, that he is an expert tailor of the absolutely finest quality. What distinguishes him from others of that ilk, and what should compel those reading this to patronize his establishment, is that such craftsmanship is complemented by a kindness and warm humanity too often absent in our world. If you're looking for custom, made to measure, or need to take an outfit you bought off the rack from looking good to incredible, you need to call Mark at Maestro Tailor and Fashion. Mark's eye for design is impeccable, to the point that whenever I go shopping I think about how this $20 dress could be made into something worth a lot more if I just had him "fix it". I first met Mark last year when I was looking for someone to hem my off the rack wedding dress. Not only did he take my last minute work during the busiest time of year, but he made some suggestions to enhance what I already liked about my dress and my body, and guaranteed on-time delivery before my elopement. I consider Mark an artist, but also my friend. Although, the workers were very nice and polite and likely do high quality work, I feel this place was incredibly overpriced. They wanted to charge me $405 to alter a bridesmaid dress that only cost $170 and they made me pay up front. It was a stressful situation as they were telling me it would be a difficult alteration (hemming the bottom of the dress -two layers and very wide, shortening the straps, and taking the sides in,) and on short notice (I needed it back in 12 days), so I went ahead and gave them my credit card. Then, after having a moment to think about it, I realized how outrageous the price was and wanted to cancel. They were telling me I would have to pay a 10% cancellation fee ($40), which was still a lot of money for nothing. Eventually, they voided it and didn't make me pay anything, but it was a stressful experience. After that, I found a place that would do the same work, in the same time frame for $50.

Mark was amazingly helpful for me when I called him on a holiday and told him that I had a suit that was WAY too big for me that I needed to wear to a wedding in less than a week. He opened the store just for me, took my measurements and helped me figure out that it would actually be a better value to buy a new suit than to do the major surgery on my current one. The receptionist was open and honest that they may not be able to do what I needed in time but suggested that I at least come in and they would see what they could do. They helped me into my dress and made me realize that I didn't need to have it let out. (The dress itself is a corset dress with lacing in the back that I was unable to do myself). I don't usually write reviews, but felt that Maestro Tailors needed one. I went to Maestro because I needed a suit for my wedding. I had never had a well fitted suit before and was interested in a Bespoke suit. During my first meeting with Mark, he completely sold me on the quality of the bespoke suit from Maestro and the increased value compared to using other options for your wedding. To start the customer service was exceptional, Mark really worked with me to make sure the suit was designed exactly to my specifications. My experience with Maestros was extremely positive. The off-the-rack tuxedo I had originally purchased needed a multiple alterations in a short period of time. I have gotten suits/jackets tailored before and was extremely apprehensive to a use a run-of-the-mill tailor given the importance of my event. I received an honest assessment of what could (and could not) be done to the jacket and pants; the result greatly exceeded my expectations. I am extremely impressed with the end product and professionalism shown here. Prices are slightly higher than other tailors, but the quality speaks for itself. I will be purchasing my suits at Maestro's moving forward.

I went to Maestro Tailor in order to get my grandfather's old suit resized to fit me. When I initially went in to the store the suit was roughly three sizes too big, and needed to be taken in. I was also trying to get the alternations done within a month since I would be wearing the suit for my wedding. As soon as I mentioned that this was for my wedding, I could tell that Mark made this his priority. I called him roughly two weeks later, and came in for a fitting. The suit fit perfectly and as a gift Mark ask gave me a matching tie. The owner is clearly someone that loves his job, and values his love for fine clothing above everything else. I would strongly recommend going to him for any alterations.

He had me come in for a consultation only to turn me away and say he wouldn’t help me. I needed a two week turn around time, but I was willing to accept any help he could offer and willing to pay whatever I could afford because I was in such a bind. He didn't try to negotiate nor did he offer to refer me to anyone else. I would have been willing to pay more because I really needed help with this garmet. Anastasia was nice. As for Mark, I felt he really didn't want my business and saw my dress as a hassle rather than an opportunity. If you are a female with a dress with any embellishment (e.g., beads, pattern, etc.) who needs help and can’t wait a month for a turn around you should probably seek help elsewhere. The last thing you want is to go through the hassle of an appointment if he’s just going to turn you away.

I found Maestro Tailors while randomly driving through downtown one day. My eye caught the impeccably put together mannequins in the window. I contacted Mark (Maestro), the owner, as I was looking for a suit for a family wedding. Once I arrived, I knew that he was someone that really knew clothing. First off by the way he was dressed, to the way his store was organized. I immediately felt at home by Mark’s warmth and hospitality. Within minutes of us talking, he had selected a few suits for me to choose from and they would have been ones I would have chosen for myself. While I was trying one on, he had already picked out the perfect accessories. The price was very reasonable considering the quality of the suit, the personalized service, and the knowledge he provided. Luckily I only needed some minor alterations, and it was ready sooner than the promised date. I highly recommend Maestro for all your clothing and alteration needs! I’ve found my guy!

I can't say enough great things about Mark and the experience that my (now) wife and I had at Maestro. Anastasia was super friendly and welcoming throughout the process, and Mark was more helpful than I could've ever hoped for. I came in with an old suit without a clear idea of what I actually wanted besides knowing that I wanted it to "fit better." We quickly discovered that I had been incorrectly sized before and that the suit fit even worse now because I had lost some weight. Mark was very patient and provided great advice about my options to help me find exactly what I wanted, before I even knew what it was that I wanted. He never got frustrated and was never pushy or anything other than 100% helpful and professional. In the end, I decided to buy one of his suits (off the rack, not bespoke) and have him tailor it a bit. He suggested which alterations to make to achieve the look I was going for, and in the end I went home with an incredible suit that felt like it was made thread-by-thread for my exact measurements. I couldn't be happier with my experience and now I just have to find an excuse to go back for another suit!

Mark never batted an eye when my friends and i walked through the door and immediately asked what he could do for us.
