I desperately needed someone to basically sew me a dress from a piece of fabric and she told me she couldn’t at first but then she somehow made the most beautiful dress! Carmen was amazing!! I brought in my wedding dress to her and told her I wanted to add sleeves, shorten it, and raise the neck line a little. I couldn't have imagined how beautiful it would all turn out. It looks like there was always sleeves on the dress. I had several appointments with her to make sure it would all turn out the way I wanted, she made it so much easier and calmed my anxiety and nerves. I can't recommend or thank her enough :)

Carmen is amazing! She is highly skilled, professional and personable, and an all around lovely person. She has a clear understanding of how clothing is constructed and how best to fit it to the respective body. I had eleven garments altered from a variety of larger sizes to my current significantly smaller size - dress pants, dresses, skirts, and a top. They now fit perfectly - even better than when I originally got them. I have since taken in seven more garments - skirts and dresses. Carmen's work is excellent and the price is right too. I usually hate trying on clothing, but working with Carmen during the fittings both before and after the alterations was a pleasant experience as well. I look forward to wearing all of my favorite clothing again. Thank you Carmen!

Had a couple work coats that were HUGE on me....took it to a different tailor at first to try and give them some shape. Walked out with the coats still looking like a box with just shorter sleeves. A coworker recommended taking them to Carmen so she can fix his mistakes. She literally undid what the other tailor did and made them fit like a glove!!! I am so happy I took them to her to fix!!! I thought they would be a lost cause, but she salvaged them!!!

Wow just so pleased and impressed with Carmen and GSC alterations! I recently moved to Lakewood and had a pile of items I had been meaning to get fixed, along with a dress that needed hemming. I brought it in Thursday and everything was ready on Friday! It was amazing. She was very sweet to rush it because two of the items were coats.
