To start: This was a wedding party of 12 men. The service was terrible. Almost all of the tuxes had a problem and nothing was done to try to make things better. Suits came in 3 days before wedding. All the boys had at least one thing they had to swap out for another item and even then the suits were not completely right. Many pairs of pants were too short, jackets were too tight, shirts that were too long or too tight and there were problems with the vests. The worst part: measurements of all the boys were taken before the order was placed. What was the point? Quality of suits were not great not to mention. The grooms pants split open and a button popped off the step father of the bride while doing a speech. Would never recommend this place to another wedding party. These suits ended up being around $189 +tax to rent, when you could go to Freeds and get a suit, tie, shoes, a shirt and a belt for $200 plus they tailor it right to the body. Thumbs down to Colins formal wear.

What a great experience we had for our wedding! Not only did you go out of your way making sure all the tuxes fitted but even rushed a new coat for our son the day before, when you noticed it was a bit snug, I would def recommend you to anyone that is looking for friendly, personable, and well knowledgeable sales people that can help a person look good for a special event. Went to rent a tux for a wedding. Once I got there, the staff were very friendly, and took one look of the grooms photo on his phone and realized that the tie on the photo and the tie ordered for the groom didnt match. This was done at another location, but the St. Catharines location caught the mistake, corrected it and made sure the colours matched what the bride and groom were expecting. Very impressed.

Suits were great and the color and style we requested. Unfortunately there was some miscommunication with suspenders required for the groomsman and groom, with one that was to be replaced due to staining was replaced with another pair with staining. One groomsman did need his jacket replaced for a jacket with a better fit but did not receive his pocket square. Although, as my wife and I were taught, "we can't sweat the small things leading up to the wedding," we were fortunate enough to with the Bridal Confidential magazine contest back in March and Collins Windsor was amazing and opened my eyes to tan suits. (Note any Asian men getting married, PLEASE consider a tan suit for yourself and/or your groomsman, trust me!) They do great work and made that photoshoot amazing and overall did give us the suits we ordered on the day of our wedding.

Refused to exchange Saxx underwear even though they were never worn. At time of purchase, my wife was assured that if they were the wrong size then they could be exchanged as they were a Christmas present. Will not spend money here again. Sounds like they will say anything to get a sale.

This was by far the most professional experiance I've had with 0 problems. I'd like to acknowledge Anna as being extremely helpful while handling multiple tasks. We would highly recommend Colins formal wear. I had my groomsmen rent their suits from Colins for our wedding. We were very well looked after. Two of my groomsmen were from different cities outside of Windsor and it was no problem at all getting measurements submitted and payments made. Everybody was really nice to us and offered us a great rental package deal. Very friendly, kind, reliable and professional. So thankful we went with Collins and would highly recommend to anybody!

They saved my wedding day! I had my wedding in St. Catharines during July 2018 and I rented the tuxes from Collins. On my way to the church to get married, I noticed a blood stain on my shirt collar. ( I checked my neck after shaving and didn't notice any cuts -- but apparently, I nicked myself. ) I called their store en route, and they were able to replace the shirt. I stopped in and the employee (I forget his name) even took extra time to find me a better fitting shirt, and freshly pressed it for me. THANK YOU for the above-and-beyond service on the most important day of my life!

After my wife and I decided to get married, one of the things we needed to do was rent tuxedos for the men. A previous experience with Collins that my wife had brought us back, they had donated tuxedos to all the men in a "dancing with the stars" Easter Seals fundraiser in Barrie. We had decided on a Saturday to get married a week from the following Monday. A phone call later to the store in Barrie and assurances that our tight deadline could be met, we went to the store where the acting manager, Mike Palhara, greeted us with a smile. Mike and staff did everything they could to make our special day a success, of which it was. We even at the last minute had to get a shirt and a pair of shoes changed, my wife's son had flown in from Banff and we had guessed his size for the tuxedo. During the original measurement the sales staff insisted my partner was a larger waist size (by 2-4inches) then he usually wears, we were told that is how they fit...blah blah. Tux arrived day before wedding (told would be ready 2 days prior), went for final fitting and pick-up and low and behold nothing fits him or our other 2 groomsman. Tuxes needed to be re-ordered and sent from Toronto- expected to arrive the day of our wedding. I called at noon as I had not received a call- I am told they are ready for pick up. My question is when were they going to call- not having anything to wear for your wedding is sort of a big deal. About an hour after I called the same sales lady calls to let us know they are in- ok...thanks but I just spoke to you. Keep in mind we are still not sure they were going to fit. Thankfully they did- but we had to make 5 trips to the store and it was not without some very stressful moments.

What an amazing experience!! From trying on and ordering, to making changes to the groomsmen's tuxes, to picking them up and dropping them off... Kristen and her staff were absolutely wonderful and took the stress out of dressing my groom and his friends! They are truly the best at what they do and really gave me piece of mind during the whole process. I even went back for some of those snazzy "SAX" underwear, which Hubby says are awesome! Not only would I return for anything that we need in the future, I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great place for men's formal wear!!

Absolutely horrible experience, especially during this COVID-19 times you think they would do everything they can to make the customer happy. I had 4 guys in my wedding party and they had 2 people working, we were the only ones in the store, the day we went to pick up our tuxes they completely messed up all the orders, and on top of that I had NO tux to pick up for my own wedding!! They did absolutely nothing to accommodate me for their mess up . I will never shop there again, the only reason I went there in the first place was because Montys was closed due to COVID-19, Merlots doesn’t exist anymore, they were 3rd-4th on my list of places to go and now I realize why.

If I could give this negative stars I would. The staff were beyond useless during the entire duration of the suit ordering process for the wedding party. They would constantly tell us that phone calls would be made when suits arrived, alternations were made, etc. and not once were any of us contacted along with many other issues. Not worth your time or frustration, go somewhere reputable instead.

This past weekend my son got married and they rented the formal wear from Collins on Tecumseh Rd. in Windsor. The clothing was in good shape and everything was there when they picked them up but unfortunately we were treated poorly before the wedding. One problem after another and was told at one point we needed to have patients! Everytime I went in this store there was at least one person in the store who was unhappy. Horrible service . Watched an employee call a guys wife his mom. She was supper upset . They forget who gets what and where it's going. They also make all kinds of promises then call you a liar when you ask them to make good with their promises. The store on tecumseh in windsor is a joke. Customer service is the worst i've received anywhere. Was going to rent for my wedding, i went in by myself at first snd put a deposit down. Then went with wedding party and it was all downhill from there. Very rude, didn't know how to do the paperwork and got everithing mixed up. At tje end of ot all they tried telling me i had to go for final fitting on a specific day, on which i was out of town, or i would have to pay extra to go 2 days earlier. When trying to argue with that i got a very abnoxious "who goes out of town a week before their wedding anyway?" By the very rude DISTRICT MANAGER". Seriously, go to freeds and buy a suit. It is cheaper than to rent at this joke of a establishment

Their tuxes and suits are nice. But when it comes to the day of your very important event you will NOT get what you asked for. My wedding and my sisters we were missing socks, the buttons were broken on a number of suit jackets, pieces were missing (suspenders, pocket squares). Its a real in convenience having these problems on your wedding day when its just so simple to pack a tux for such an important day. Men had to run around back and worth wedding day to get stuff. We had this problem with sisters wedding told them they said this wont happen again we promise went with them for our wedding and it was worse. And they just said oh sorry.

We rented suits for our wedding from Collins Formal Wear. They have a lot of options to chooce from and it was no problem to find the perfect suits. We were also able to find matching ties with the bridesmaids dresses even though it was unusual color. I like how they dressed the mannequin for us to see how our picks go together. It was no problem for them to make last minute changes to our selected styles. Service was good, although the person was differend every time we visited the store.

Fiancée was getting her gown at Sophie's so I figured I'd drop in and take a look at what Collins had to offer for my rental. From the moment I walked in the very first time even til when I returned mine and my son's suits after my wedding they were courteous kind and very accommodating. I'm a bigger guys and finding a decent suit is hard enough but this store and Kristen in particular was simply amazing. Even out with strep she looked in on my rental from home to make sure the staff was informed of everything she promised me and more. 10/10 would go back and rent if not buy from them based solely on their customer service alone. Ps. Some of of the items came in and didn't fit but they overnighted everything they needed to for a perfect fit on my wedding day.

Due to Covid, my wedding was delayed by a year. In December, my fiance and I wanted to just get married and decided that in February we would be wed. I called Moore's who advised me to wait until the lockdown was over to find a suit. I had previously done a fitting for a suit (groomsman) at Collins and remember it being a good experience. I got in contact with them and ended up in a zoom meeting with Curt Collins and Pat, the manager at the St Catharines location. Both were absolutely fantastic at educating my partner and I at the formal wear, and made the experience a breeze. Pat dropped my suit off at my house two weeks before the wedding to ensure a quality fit. I dropped in two days before the wedding to try it on one last time, and Pat was able to make an alteration to the pants that day. From start to finish the St Catharines location has exceeded all of our expectations. The customer service was excellent and I will always suggest them over Moore's.

This has been HELL dealing with Collins Formal Wear Called over and over again looking for my husbands suit. With just 2 weeks before the wedding called and asked to speak to the owner, who told me no need to worry we have lots of time...the wedding is in Sept....OMG the wedding is in 2 weeks. Hubby calls again and it was ready.Went to try it on and the pins were still in it...it was never sent out. With just 1 week til the 3 days before the wedding he got his suit but WITHOUT the belt that was promised.None of the belts came in on time but they did promise to reimburse for the cost. The bride went in with the bill for the reimbursement for the belts that were perchased at the last min. The manager called the groom a liar....she said he was never told they would be reimbursed..... Each time one of them went to pick up their suits they were promised the belts would be in on time....late friday night the groom ran out to get the belts. My husband was told if they are not in on time they would reimburse everyone.The manager on duty twirled her finger in a circle at the side of her head and said that my daugjter is nuts just like the groom.Bride asked for head office phone number and the manager refused to give it to her. But the part that gets me the most upset is the mananger went to the back and called police saying a women under the influence is being belligerent and in the store with her small child ....she is 3. Without my daughter knowing what the manager had done....the manager came out from the back and told my daughter to just take 6 belts......SHE WAS SETTING HER UP !!!! 4 POLICE CARS PULLED UP. They could tell my daughter was NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE and told the manager that she needed to give the number to head office.Talk about wasting tax payers money and thank god my daughter did not have the belts in her hand. Also forgot to tell you the ring barrier suit was made wayyyy to small pants were above his ankles and jacket sleeves was about 3 inches short. The worker was tugging on the sleeves as if that would make them grow longer. The siut was ready for pick up the day before wedding and was still a bit short on the sleeves. I WOULD NEVER SEND ANYONE THERE ......NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS

Although the staff was nice, we are very disappointed with Collins Formal Wear. Every tux we rented for our wedding was wrong. The guys went the Thursday before our wedding to try them on and the vest were the wrong colour, the sizes were wrong and needed to be altered. They wanted to charge the 3 of the little ring boys 40$ a peice for an ivory dress shirt however they charged my nephew 19$ for his. Why the difference in price? My nephew also got fitted 2 times. The last time was a few days before our wedding and the shirt was still too small and the pants were floods. The guys had to wait until 630pm the night before the wedding to pick up the tuxedos. We were never appoligized to or given a discount. All the tuxedos had to be ironed by me (thebride) on the wedding day. We do not recommend Collins Formal Wear. Way to expensive and not perfessional!

We had an amazing experience at Collins! We had ordered suits elsewhere for my wedding, however, long story short, we were 4 days removed from the wedding & had no suits! I called Pat at Collins & explained the situation. Not only did he get it done for us in the shortest of timeframes, my groomsmen & I all looked AWESOME! Walked in here last minute, literally a day before the wedding I was attending. The associate there, named Melanie was phenomenal. Immediately heard my situation and got to work throwing together a rental ASAP. I was there for less than half an hour before I was fully dressed, happy with my look, and ready to rent the suit! Unfortunately I ripped the suit pants at the seam during the wedding, however I was not charged, there was no hassle returning them.

Enter at you own risk- worst service ever! If i knew how to give no stars i would! Ordered early puck up, desired shoe size for my best man not in the bag. Nasty rotten ladie says she can get the shoes next day- next day when i called them, no shoes! Proceeds to tell me "u dont need them till saturday" After the phone call, she calls my B.M. to pick up different shoes, clearly from their store. EVERYTHING WAS RETURNED, now they call my B.M saying the ugly $10 shoes r not there. Very poor communication. STILL PENDING.. Results: After contacting the london office, i was told they found the shoes & that they were prepared to give me a $50 in-store credit conditional to taking this review down. I had requested an e-mail that the shoes were found, still hasnt happened. Good luck!

Go somewhere/anywhere else. My groomsmen and father in law purchased suits here and we rented a suit for our ringbearer. We were told our suit package would include the jacket, pants, shirt set, shoes and belt for "X" amount of dollars by one employee. When my best man went in for his fitting the "manager" said the price was too low and we should not have been offered that deal. The communication between store employees was awful and communication to customers was even worse. After I called to ensure the suits were on route, our order had mysteriously vanished! Nothing was ordered on time. And when suits finally started to arrive we did not recieve ANY phone calls for pickup. We were constantly chasing answers and waiting longer than the promised dates for alterations and final pickup. To top it off they "forgot" to order ANY of the belts! 2 days before my wedding I had to purchase belts elsewhere and the "manager" promised to reimburse our money. When my wife tried to get the money reimbursed the "manager" called my wife crazy and phoned the police! To top it all off the ring bearers rented suit was wrong and had to be altered the day before the wedding! This place is not professional and DEFINITELY NOT worth the stress during your wedding planning process. Go somewhere/anywhere else...

Great place, very friendly and had a good selection of suit. My son wore the black paisley suit with a red bow tie and a vest to match, he looked stunning !! Very happy with out experience and I also order personalized grad shirts that the kids loved ????????❤????

Collins Formal Wear was absolutely fabulous to deal with. We started at the Windsor location to setup our information. The staff were so friendly and excited for us, and made dealing with them so much fun. When they offered the service of doing invitations as well, we were so pleased that we could handle everything with them. The invitations were beautiful, and were done so quickly and efficiently, we had no hassles or worries at all. For the rest of our dealing, we went to the Chatham location, as that was more convenient for my groomsmen and company, and the transition was seamless. Jim was so friendly and efficient, and made our experience so much fun. And of course we looked fabulous. All the staff at Collins went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. It is obvious that they truly care about their clients, and it certainly helped to make our Wedding day the most fabulous day ever! From tuxes, to invitations, and even gift wrapped presents for my groomsmen, there is no place else I would ever consider dealing with than Collins Formal Wear. Thank you to everyone there who helped make our Wedding even more special!

We recently had our wedding and rented our tuxedos at Collins. The complete process was easy and pricing was very competitive. Beyond that, we had a groomsman who needed a late change and Pat went through the trouble to overnight a shirt in for Saturday morning to make sure everything went perfect. Having been in wedding parties that used Moores, they are no comparison with regards to service, process and all at the same price. Thanks Pat!

WORST SERVICE EVER. ROTTEN AND RUDE STAFF. EVERY TIME ANY ONE IN THE WEDDING PARTY PUT THERE JACKET ON EVERY SLEEVE CUFF CAME UNDONE . HAD TO GO BACK 3 TIMES FOR MISFITTING STUFF. MISSING STUFF AND HAD TO GO BACK ON WEDDING DAY. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE AND GO WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY. THIS COMPANY WILL RUIN YOUR WEDDING DAY. YOUR WEDDING DAY WILL BE RUINED !!!!!!!!!! My husband, his grooms men, and our fathers all had their tuxedos rented from Collins Formal Wear for our wedding this past Saturday. Everyone was very happy with the service they each received from the staff. My father needed some extra help when it came to his tuxedo and the staff that assisted him were nothing short of phenomenal and made my father feel a lot more comfortable.
