My husband has been going to Summerdale Dry Cleaners for years and has always raved about how friendly, honest, and affordable they are. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate rush requests and definitely are the only dry cleaners and tailors we use in Cambridge. A few months ago my husband dropped off a pair of pants to be cleaned and had no idea there was $200 in cash in the pocket. They immediately called him and were very honest about it when he had no idea it was even there. They could've easily had not said anything so he offered them a reward of $20 which they didn't even want to take. Needless to say, we highly recommend Summerdale!

I have used this dry cleaner/tailor for all of my dry cleaning and tailoring needs over the past few years. Except once, they weren't open so I took my sons winter Jacket somewhere else for a repair. The other place was about twice as expensive and the patch looked awful. Never again! Summerdale has done hems on pants and dresses, repairs on the kids winter stuff, dry cleaned my boots, my wedding veil, etc...and I have always been happy with the value and the quality! Customer for life.

Simply put these guys ruined my Blazer. I have had them perform this type of work in the past without issue but the last time I brought in my brand new coat to have the sleeves taken up, the jacket was returned damaged the with terrible sheen around the sleeves. It is obvious someone used a hot iron to press (you can clearly see the pattern) which is disastrous for this type of material. I brought the coat back to see what can be done, after 2 weeks the jacket was returned in the same condition. The owner told me there was nothing more he could do. So not only am I out $50 for the service I have a brand new blazer that cannot be worn. Extremely disappointed. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I use this business exclusively whenever I need something cleaned or altered. The owners are amazing and go above and beyond to serve their customers. If you have an item that you don't think can be cleaned, ask them and if it's at all possible they will do it. Recently, I needed the cushions on a baby rocking chair cleaned. When they sent it out for cleaning, the company would not clean for fear of ruining the cushions. Bhavana asked them if they would clean the covers if she removed them from the padding and the answer was yes. She then had to sew the cover back onto the cushion. I was so pleased with the result. That is what I call customer service above and beyond expectation. They took the same care with down pillows I had cleaned a few years ago. Raj and Bhavana do all our alterations. Last week they altered a suit for our grandson (a toddler) and last year they installed a new zipper in a down coat I had, giving it many more years of life. I highly recommend this company.

I love summerdale dry cleaners! I like them so much that I even make the trip from Guelph to have all my alterations done by them. They are extremely friendly and accommodating! As one example: I needed a jumpsuit hemmed overnight for a trip and they were glad to help. I dropped my pants off at 4pm and even though they closed at 7pm I was still able to pick them up right at opening the next day. Just had my daughters zipper repaired on her winter coat and they had it done in a matter of a couple hours. Highly recommended! If I could give this business and the lovely couple who own it more than 5 stars, I would. I was visiting Cambridge to attend a wedding, and when I went to put my dress on an hour before the ceremony, the zipper broke. We quickly found Summerdale online, as it was the closest tailor to our hotel. When we arrived, the owners were so accommodating and reassuring, quickly getting to work on repairing my dress, offering water and many kind words to help ease my panic. Not only were they professional, they went above and beyond to ensure that I could wear my dress and still make it to the ceremony on time. The emergency repair made to my dress was done very well - it lasted all night, even through lots of dancing! The quality of their work and the price were great. Their customer service was absolutely exceptional, something that is not always easy to find in many businesses. If I lived in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to return to Summerdale for all of my tailoring and dry cleaning needs. Pay them a visit - you will not be disappointed!

I went to Summerdale Dry Cleaners on Holilday Inn Dr to get my wedding dress cleaned, and they had it sent to a company that specializes in wedding dress cleaning and preservation, Suede Master. They did a great job for a very fair price! My dress had some drink spills and was very dirty and practically black towards the bottom after walking in a park to get photos taken. I can't see any more dirt... The dress is very clean and sparkling again! Also, the couple that owns Summerdale is very friendly and nice, I will be sure to go back to their store if I need in the future! Thank you very much!

Went for body measurements, what appeared to me to be a basic, necessary service offered by a tailor shop. informed that they do not do this as they are not tailors just alterations (store name?) , and that I should go home and measure myself. I have brought items to be done in 1-2 days and they have had no issue with meeting the timeline.
