My wife searched her wardrobe and found a beautiful shoulder-less evening gown, she thought she could update and it would be perfect. She brought it into Stitch-It Fairview (Pt. Claire, Qc), and the ladies turned it into exactly what she had in mind. Not only was end-result professionally finished, the turn-around quick, and the price very reasonable - but they went the extra mile !! Choi realized that with the excess material, they could make a matching shoulder cover thingie - PERFECT for an early Spring wedding !!! Brilliant !

I brought in a pair of thrifted jeans that were huge that I wanted to get taken in to wear. The lady looked at them once and said she didn’t want to do it because it would be too much work … despite this being her job, she did not want to even try. Very unprofessional, didn’t offer any sort of compensation for what she could do to the jeans, just said “no I’m not doing that, it’s too much work” over and over and then walked away in to the back room. I've been here many times, always to get my pants hemmed. They always deliver on time and I've never had any issues however the main problem is price, it is $22 to hem a pair of jeans which just seems absurd. Since I no longer live nearby I'll be looking for a more reasonable alternative.

Terrible service. Brought my prom dress here to be shortened, and they got stains all over my dress!! Then they denied it was their fault! The manager is a very rude man, who couldn't understand why I was mad that my 200$ dress was ruined by them. DO NOT GO HERE.

I had an amazing experience at the Cambridge Stitch It store. A week and a half ago I had my dress altered at a different company twice, and I was unhappy with the alterations. The day before I was suppossed to wear my bridesmaid dress for a wedding the alterations at the other company still were not up to my satisfaction. I called stitch it and they were able to take me in on short notice, and have my dress back to be later that day. They did an amazing job on my dress and provided excellent customer service. I am so thankful to the stitch it team for helping me. I will go here for any alterations I need in the future, I highly recommend stitch it to anyone that needs alterations!

Absolutely horrible. I left my beautiful wedding dress over two months ago with them.. they didn’t start any alterations until a few days before my first fitting and damaged the entire back of my dress. To my horror, they also expected me to pay ON TOP of the $600 I already paid for the alterations agreed on, to repair the damages THEY did to the dress. The back sequins were torn, the bottom was stepped on and torn and the dress was absolutely filthy. I wish they had said they were incapable of working on my dress as opposed to taking on something they clearly were unable to. I would advise anyone please be careful leaving any dress of value in their care.

My experience was amazing with stitch it at the Fairview mall. They were able to tailor my corduroy pants that were way too big. A lot of tailors told me that it was impossible to fix my pants because they were corduroy, but stitch it found a way to fix them. The tailoring was perfect and I was really happy with the end product. If you have any tailoring needs, I strongly recommend you going to stitch it at the Fairview mall. They will help you with high level of professionalism and with a big smile. I’m a very a happy customer and I would strongly recommend anyone to go there to get their clothes tailored. Pretty great. I needed to get my sleeves shortened an inch on my work polo, and it was measured and done in time ready for the next day. I came an hour early and it was ready. Great service! But also, it is a little pricey i got charged 30$ just to reduce size of polo sleeve by an inch or so. So I guess that’s the only downside, I usually can get it done somewhere for less than 15$. Cashier person was awesome Otherwise, will definitely visit them again to adjust work uniforms to fit better.

I dropped pants off at the beginning of the week. The receipt stated they would be ready by Friday at 9pm. I was driving by Friday at 7pm and decided to stop in to see if they were ready. The lady behind the counter got offended that I would even dream of coming in before the time stated on the receipt. She refused to check and see if they were ready. It left me feeling pretty negative and I won’t be going back there.

Got the slider fixed on a zipper. Which was great cause it was on a winter coat that cost 350$.. saved me from buying a new coat or a complete zipper replacement.. I paid 15$ For a new slider that’s all!!!.. I rate it a 4 star cause the wait was long.

Need a suit pant hemmed just before Easter Weekend. Tried two established cleaners who did alterations and both declined. Angel at Stitch - It came through. Choi took the measurements and the pants were available that day. The price was what was even a bigger surprise as they were cheaper then anyone else I’ve been to in the past. Won’t hesitate going back!

Very poor service. Suit was brought in on Saturday and wasn’t ready on time on Wednesday. It was supposed to be ready by 4pm and at 7pm she was still working on them. Pants were slightly longer than expected. Seam was very visible on the pants. The lady told me they had an issue with their machine and to come back the next day but I unfortunately couldn’t as I needed the suit for Friday and had something preventing me from coming on Thursday. I still wonder why they waited for the last minute to work on this since they had 4 full days. Will definitely not come back. My first experience did not impress me at all.

Terrible, got oil on my satin Pj's that I brought it to be hemmed. The job was supposed to take one day and took three. And as far as I'm concerned they didn't get all the oil out upon inspection there was stains in the inside of Pj's at the hem they said it was not oil I was told it was the chalk they used to mark where to hem. Oh and they made me pay full price will never use them again and would not recommend them...

If you like being stared at while you try on your dress and receive glaring eyes and uncomfortable remarks than this place is perfect for you. I do not know if the lady wearing a hijab is the owner or an employee but she was very unprofessional. My girlfriend was trying her dress on for New Year's Eve and this woman was so uncomfortable measuring her that it made us even more uncomfortable. The dress was classy and not at all what one might call "inappropriate". She ended being someone that knew my family so she went as far as to wait until we left the premises and then call my mother and complain that the dress was inappropriate!! Talk about personalised customer service! We will never return to this location and I hope this review will guide others accordingly. If you're the owner lady then I suggest you change your attitude and service if you want to succeed in a diverse society as the one we live in. If you're just an employee then I hope your boss sees this review and acts accordingly.

I was randomly in the mall one day and decided to stop by and get an estimation on a repair on my jacket, they quoted me $60 plus tax and to buy fabric for the jacket. when i officially brought it a week later the price went from $60 to $115, took them 3 weeks to repair. when i went to pick up my jacket, the jacket wasnt even in a bag, the buttons werent attached properly, the jacket just looked dirty and its a white jacket. dry cleaning wasnt done and when i asked about it they told me would take another 10 days like WHAT!!! Never again!

I have been going to stitch it now for probably about 13 years or more. Karen was the first lady I met obviously never turned back. Best alteration place in cambridge we are all on the shorter side and require at times some difficult alterations never a doubt that it was done to perfection. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! TERRIBLE WORK, THE ONLY REDEEMING FACTOR IS THAT THEY DIDNT RUIN THEM SO BADLY THAT THEY COULDNT BE FIXED! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! Where to begin... I baught a pair of dress pants to go with a blazer I baught but they didn't have my size so I baught a bigger pair to be altered to my size. I called to get a quote for the alterations that needed to be done and the price seemed reasonable so a few days later I went thinking I knew the cost. I tried the pants on, the woman pinned them and then took me to the cash and the price was almost double what I was quoted on the phone! However I was already there so I decided to go through with it anyways. No call to let me know when they were done so I go back 2 weeks later assuming they had forgotten to call back and they handed me my pants and move on to the next person, no checking the fit to make sure the work was good. BIG MISTAKE! I took my pants home and tried them on and the fit was TERRIBLE!!! They were still too big in the waist and they were doing a wired wrinkly saggy thing in the butt. Now I need to take them to another seamstress and pay more money just to fix their mistake! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

Their motto is " right away, same day, next day". Its false advertising. Went on a Thursday to alter the straps on a dress and they could not do it before Monday. I told them i needed it for an event on the weekend, the woman turned around and was upset saying why did i come earlier... i just bought the dress!

I went in to add a simple 2.5 inch round patch on a jacket .first thing is ,the delay was absolutely ridiculous 3 days for a 10 min job and when I got it back , it was dirty, flighty full of small threads all over . It wouldn’t have bothered me if it was dirty in the first place but I wanted it to be présentable so I got it cleaned before hand. The delay could have been overlooked but the cleanliness of this local business is unacceptable.The greeting wasn’t kind nor was there was my exit . Do not recommend at all , run for your life.

I brought my dogs jacket in to see what they could do about the velcro not sticking. So we decided to put in a zipper. I just picked it up and we are in absolute aw! We've used stitch it before and have always had great results, but this one is the cherry on top! They blew our minds and far exceeded any expectations we could have imagined! Well worth the price! Saving us hundreds of dollars on all of our dog jackets, because we will be going back to get our other dog jackets done the same way! No more velcro jackets!!! So if your velcro isnt working anymore on your dogs jacket, go here to get a zipper! So worth it!! Thanks!

WAY WAY WAY over priced. I was charged $ 237.00 for alterations for a dress, almost the cost of the dress. The other girls in the wedding party were changed $65-90 +/- for the EXACT same work. There was also a pulled thread at the bust, completely visible they refused to do anything about. The only reason they get 1 star is because I have to choose min. 1 star in order to post. Seriously $ 237.00- outrages!!!!

And it was registered under somebody else name and phone number !! Got charged 10$ extra for my jacket pocket and back...and it wasn't done.
