Alterations were done much faster than I expected and were absolutely perfect. They made a couple of minor adjustments (new clasp) after I tried it on because they knew they could do better. This place is amazing and so accommodating.

I came in to alter my pants as they were too long. As an individual who doesn't understand tailor terminology such as "taper in and hems", I was just expressed my concerns that my pants were too long. Not only did she just cut my pants shorter, she made them shorter than her markings and did not bother mentioning the change in pant fit as you alter the pant leg. I delivered the pants as skinny fit, received them as straight fit and she later blamed me for not asking her for a taper on the inside; something I did not know and she did not bother mentioning to me. Her blatant disregard for my needs as a consumer who is unfamiliar with alterations made this a bad visit and has since ruined perfectly good pants

Not sure if I'd come here again, the seamstress is nice enough and but for a simple hemming of torn leggings into shorts shouldn't cost me $21 +GST, I'm sure I can get a more competitive price elsewhere but I was in a time crunch to do my research and she got it done it two business days.

Northland Tailor has altered several highly technical items for me in the last six months. Functional durability is critical as are precise measurements and perfect heavy duty double stitching. Rose does the highest quality custom work to exacting specifications with attention to miniscule detail. This is the best little alteration shop in the city.

Friendly and quick service. I needed a suit for a fundraiser and it fit like a glad garbage bag! I took my suit to Rose (second generation tailor with 30 years of experience) and I was wowed by the care and detail she put in my making me look fab. She is now my go to tailor perhaps one of the best in the city. WORTH EVERY PENNY! P.s. do a little research about tailoring prior, specifically wether or not you like a taper in your pants. It’s a little more but it gives you a more modern fit. 10/10 would use them again.

Took some belts in to have emroidered with names. Store ckerk was pleasant, professional, and helped me make some decisions about what U was asking for and whether it would work the way I wanted. Didn't end up getting the belts done, at her suggestion we are going to try sinething else, but they will get all my alteration business going forward. I was so impressed with the store.

I had such a wonderful experience at this tailor. I was nervous bringing my suit in because I wanted a men's taper and fitting to fit on a woman's frame. The tailor working on my suit was able to even add material on the inside to let out the jacket and my taper was perfectly done. I definitely think I was charged more than fair for the quality of work and customer service!

I found this alteration service online. They were one of the tailors that open on Saturdays. The owner was friendly and accommodating. The price was reasonable and the service was quick. I dropped of 5 pairs of jeans and the owner worked extra hours just to make sure I would get all 5 back on the same day. Great experience!

I dropped my dress off on Monday for a hem and before I was even measured or stepped into the dressing room, I asked for how much the hem would cost and was quoted $40. I thought this was a reasonable price and decided to go through with having my dress hemmed at Northland Tailors and Alterations. I left my dress, paid my $40 and was told it would be ready next week. Great! Three days later I receive a call (after my hem has been completed) that the hem was actually going to cost me $65. Over the phone the lady told me that typically this type of dress would be around $80 but for me she only wanted an extra $25, still an increase of over 50%. This is a big difference in price from the original quote so I stated that I would not be willing to pay that much extra for something when I was told it would only be $40. Had I been quoted $80 at the beginning, even if I had been quoted $65, I would have called around and taken my dress elsewhere. I feel ripped off and will not be returning to Northland Tailors and Alterations. I have heard great things about the alterations place in crowfoot NW!

Excellent leather working skills - I took two pairs of outdated leather pants here to have them updated. The shop uses professional leather sewing machines and takes extra care to leather tape all the seams. The pants look better now than when I first got them! I love this shop.

I wish i can something nicer, but I did not have a good experience in the store. First of all, the owner got over charged price than the average. There was no price list in the store, and owner just gave whatever the price she wanted to charge for. You have to ready for whatever she asked for it. In fact, I am actually okay pay more but needed to do better work on it, which lead my second points. secondly, they did not do good job on my pants at least. Owner was nice, asked me to back anytime if I needed any more alternation without charge. But why dont you do good on the first time . I suggested anyone looks for better quality work may get second opinion. Sincerely.

Although the workmanship is good, she is always in a hurry and does not take the time to measure properly. I needed a basic shirt that was a few sizes too big for me taken in. She did a great job on shortening the sleeves, but she made the waist too loose and the hip too tight. So she hurriedly measured me again and altered it the second time, but the body was still too loose on me. She didn't want to alter it a third time and so I didn’t push it. I paid a lot for a tailored fit, but didn’t get that. I'm disappointed and am reluctant to return. If she had measured properly at the start, everything would have been fine and she could have saved herself work and me time. But she's always in a hurry and this affected the final results.

Excellent service! I was desperately looking for an embroidery service (to do a monogram on a scarf) and it’s actually quite hard to find one online. Rose was very friendly and professional and I’m absolutely pleased with the quality of the work! I definitely would recommend this place for any embroidery work!
