Brought two pairs of pants to be hemmed. Was told it would be 11 days. It took 18. I later found that one leg of one pair wasn’t even hemmed, just folded over but not sewn. Will not be returning.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN! RITA (the principle seamstress of Lily’s fashions) is all smiles as you walk in the door, and her goal is to give each customer the opportunity to look and feel their best. She positively went the extra mile to make my daughter feel special in her graduation dress. The underskirt of the dress needed to be replaced, and Rita not only met me at a NW location to look for material, but also drove with me to a NE location, just to find the right color of material. The quoted price for altering the dress didn’t change even though Rita had committed personal time to the job. Thank you Rita, for your kindness and dedication to putting the customer first.

Fashion Week - Calgary 2010-2011 Words by Jeanine Brito Liliia Bencz is not tall women, but her talent is enormous."Self expression to the fullest ", is how Bencz describe her first runway collection, drawing inspiration not from the world around her, but instead from within. The collection pays homage to every women - the 1920's flapper with her liberal ideas strutted down to runway, embodied in velour and tassels; the clothes fell loosely from the body, allowing movement and a sense of freedom. Earlier still, the tiniest of nods to Paul Poiret's pantaloons for women, reinvented by Bencz in velour. Bencz also referenced the 80's power suit with bold shoulders, and brought to mind the early 1960's "Med Men" aesthetic with a blood red fitted dress, below-the-knee hemlines and a heavy dose of leopard print. The unexpected combination of velour trousers and leopard print, 1900's and 60's, left those watching intriqued for what might come next. Enter the sequined, bubblegum pink dresses that instantly brought Barbie to mind, and their softer counterparts that would have anyone reminiscing Molly Ringwald as Andie Walsh. Finally, Liliia Bencz showed us the modern women of Hollywood, in dresses that ranged from movie premier to full on Oscar-winner. Her we see Bencz eye for trends, including an asymmetrical one-shouldered dress, and a floor sweeping metallic turquoise taffeta gown. It's almost shocking that a self-taught designer could bring such diverse concepts to life, and yet, as Bencz said, there are "no challenges, just designing". She's a fierce proponent of women's Fashion and has dedicated herself to not only treating women but also educating them about the issues affecting their quality of life. Poor costumer service, we had wanted to have some work done. We decided after we paid that it was a little more then we could afford at the time. We requested a refund. This was within 10 min of the initial purchase. They were rude and didn't know how to work the refund machine. We got a call from Lilly her self and she was extremely rude on the phone and insulting my girlfriends mother. I will never use them again.

Leyla is amazing! I lost both my parents this year and wanted to do something special for their grandkids. I had bought some teddy bears that I wanted clothes made for them that were made from shirts of my parents. I couldn’t really come up with a design on my own so just dropped a bunch of shirts off at Layla’s store and left it up to her. Needless to say what she came up with was truly amazing and I will be forever grateful to her for bringing my vision to life and making them even better than I could’ve ever imagined. Rita is a true treasure. She does fabulous work. Her work is always fast and of the highest quality. My daughter and I won't take our fancy alternations ANYWHERE else. No challenge is too great for her. Chiffon, satin, multiple layers. Minor fixes to make something fit better or a major make-over to up-date your favorite clothes to be more modern. You must go to this shop!!

I was very disapointed about my first time to try Rita alteration business to hemm my dress and I have been told to pick up my dress on Friday 5:00 pm. To my concern, I called her before one hour to make sure that the dress is ready to be picked up but to my surpise she kept me on hold to come back and tell me that is not touched and left in the bag behind. So she asked me to come at 6:00 pm and I went on time and found out that she is busy with other work and my dress is not ready (I needed the dress at that time for special occasion!!!!! ). I know, we could do mistake and I am not sure if I would give her another chance !

Shop owner saved my wedding dress. Took my strapless, fitted mermaid in right down from a 6 to a 00. Dress was done in reasonable time, very well priced for work and craftsmanship was beautiful!!! I thought I would have to buy another dress but was saved. Couldnt be more thankful!!!!

AVOID THIS BUSINESS !! My wife took her winter coat and a dress (hemming) in for some basic alterations for the first time. Lily's quoted a high price, and promised the job would be done in one week - my wife said OK. After 1.5 weeks of waiting (with no correspondence), my wife went in to pick up her coat and dress. NOTHING was done and Lily started telling her how difficult it was, and now wanted more money to finish the job - my wife felt trapped, so she said OK. Two weeks later, the coat and dress were finally done, but WHAT A MESS. The problems are: coat: seam finishings are disgraceful, seams are crooked, braid used does not match the existing, seams are not finished properly. Dress: She tried to get out of doing the basic requested alterations, but finished it once my wife complained (but not properly). Recommendation: AVOID THIS BUSINESS. Save yourself from substandard workmanship, and horrible service/attitude. We will never go back here !!!

She hemmed my leather pants and you can’t even tell that the hem was re done the stitch work was exact! She also did another pair of dress pants and a blouse and they fit amazingly well and look exactly how I bought them! Well done !

I can not say enough about Lily. After a very bad experience with another seamstress, I went to see Lily and she did not disappoint. She altered my wedding dress perfectly for less than $400 (amazing compared to the $1200 quote that I had received at the other alteration shop. My alterations were not simple and included a hem on scalloped lining made from a fine lace). She also hemmed and created straps for my reception dress for a great price. While Lily's pricing is awesome, it's the woman that makes the business. Lily treated me like family in the couple months before my wedding and had no problem accommodating my rapid weight loss or the last minute change in my bridal party (she took a size 18 bridesmaids dress down to a size ten using only measurements given over the phone and, the day before the wedding, stayed late at the shop to ensure my maid of honor's dress was perfect). I would consider Lily a friend and will continue use Lily's Fashion Creations for all of my alterations and recommend her to anyone looking for high quality, friendly service at a fantastic price. Thank you Lily, you're amazing!

Do not go here! I took a silk dress here to have a deep v neck altered so it was not so revealing. When I picked it up, I did not try it on which was a huge mistake. It was the absolute worst alteration ever and very nearly ruined my dress. They had cut a piece of material off the sleeve (which they shortened as well) and simply basted it on. It was crooked and bulky and did not lay flat. No real tailor would have ever done something like that! I was able to use my high school home economics skills to fix it myself. It makes one wonder if they have any training or skill at all in this area. Do not use these people. They don't know what they're doing.

Have been using this business for over 10 years now. Every dress Lilia and her staff did for me or my daughter was amazing. They made multiple costumes for my daughter competition in dance and gymnastics. They can make your dreams come through. If you want to do something special like wedding dress or graduation dress - this is the place to go.
