I have seen ALOT of tailors because im so little nothing ever fits me. Jamal is by far the best tailor ive seen. I've brought things into him super last minute and desperate for alterations that I needed next day and he never fails! I would highly recommend Jamal to anyone who is seeking an amazing tailor. I just paid $50 for a simple pant hem and taper. Seems Very expensive. He almost always doesn’t meet deadlines, causing me to return at a later date. Quality is great but he’s expensive and often late.

Prices are bit high plus the time it takes them to do small stuff is very lengthy.. Day i went to pickup the stuff,the Shop was closed so had to wait one hour..So not very pleasant experience.

I’ve been going to Jamal for over a decade. I use him for tailoring and hemming of blazers, jackets, sports jerseys, jeans, suits, indian style fashion and almost everything I bring to him I know I can leave it in full confidence that the job will be done and ready on time. If you don’t like the fit don’t run to google and complain speak with Jamal and he will fix it or make it even better. He works with everyone who walks into his shop. I feel comfortable leaving my clothing here than a busy laundromat beside a variety store.

He does good work but he consistently fails to deliver on promised completion dates. The final straw for me was when he promised a suit be completed on a Friday, which it wasn't, and he left for vacation the following day without letting me know. My suit sat there for more than 2 weeks. If he were the low cost provider in town, I could accept his poor service, but he's far too expensive for me to continue giving him my business.

Jamal Tailoring & Alterations is a gem in this city! There are a lot of places that offer alterations and tailoring so it is often perceived as a commodity. If you actually know the difference between shoddy or passable work vs. exceptional work you will know that once you go to Jamal you won't go anywhere else. His quality and attention to detail is very very high. He is responsive and always picks up the phone. If he can't right at that second I'll always get a call a couple of minutes later. I'm busy with events and I can always count on Jamal to make last minute adjustments for me, he's saved my many a time. He's a family man and values relationships. I would highly highly recommend Jamal Tailoring & Alterations for everything from leather jackets to dresses.

I have brought multiple items including a custom halloween costume, broken zippers, pants that need to be hemmed, and pants/skirts that need to be brought in or 'made smaller' and he always does an amazing job. I just called to get a quote on alterations and all he said was $15 - then when i asked him to clarify what he meant he said "are you out of your mind?" i asked him if that is any way to talk to customers and he just hangs up. Terrible first impression. Looks like he is doing well because he doesn't mind losing business.

Friendly guy, but very unprofessional and disorganized. Was promised that my work would be ready in a week and a half. Went back three weeks later and not complete. Was told it would be done that day, went back a week later and STILL was not complete. Wasted a ton of my time.

Missed Delivery and Rushed Work Jamal rushed the job to deliver day after original promise. The vents were sloppily re-attached, causing the left side of the rear to pull inwards. He had also stitched through the outer fabric. It is expected of professional alterations to leave no sign of re-work, preserving the original design. He had failed to do this for $70. When discussing my dissatisfaction, he raised his voice and repeated that the jacket was perfectly fine. Both unprofessional work and customer service.

Prices too high, terrible customer service! Charged me $76 to do a simple hem on my suit (sleeves and pants). Should have cost half that. When I complained about his Price he touted his quality of service. What a joke! It took him 10 days to complete this simple job. He said it would be ready Friday, it wasn't. So I came back Monday and guess what? Still not ready. The guy in front of me in line was picking up jeans and his weren't ready either. Also, completely disorganized. Couldn't find my suit. I had to step into his shop and find my own suit. Absolutely terrible. Stay away.
