Not only did Ali do a third rate job repairing my cardigans, his attitude was terrible when he realized I wasn't pleased. I'm guessing by the other good reviews that he may be proficient at hemming pants and skirts, however if you need real repairs done I suggest you find a skillful tailor. The first cardigan needed the collar re-attached. When I came to pick it up it was sewn all crooked and there was a big hole at one end, which apparently he missed. The correct way to fix this is to remove the collar entirely and then re-attach. He just sewed the spots that had come apart! The second cardigan was a merino button up with a tiny moth hole under one arm. Instead of reweaving with merino wool he sewed it up with cotton thread, obvious and ugly from 5 feet away. Big difference between knit wool and cotton fabric repairs and the two don't mix. I probably wouldn't have left this review if he didn't give me attitude when I was in the store. I also expect a much higher level of quality. BTW check out his reviews on Yelp, they are far more revealing and accurate. This man will wreck your clothes and waste your time.

Amazing work done at this studio. I had my wedding dress taken in, hemmed, and the bust re-worked. It was a lot of work and each detail was impeccable, not a stitch out of place. What I liked the most was even though I did not really know what I was doing, they did, and guided me to make all the right choices and my dress turned out perfect! My mom also had her dress altered here and it turned out fantastic!

Hands down the best in Vancouver! I brought in some very expensive pieces that needed some work for my short body (European clothes, long and thin) he had to literally deconstruct a few jumpsuits and they came out flawless, perfectly fitted and steamed. All work was unnoticeable (blended with the garment) and did not cause other areas to look odd. I am so happy I found him through word of mouth from another customer. 10 stars!

I have taken several dresses to be altered here since moving to Vancouver in 2015. The quality of this tailor’s work has never been an issue, he’s always done a wonderful job. But the five star review comes from my experience yesterday. I tried on a dress in the morning that I intended to wear to an event in the evening, and in putting it on, ripped it along the seam. I took it to him desperately, and he fixed it in 2 hours because of my loyalty to him as a customer. He also pressed it for me as an unnecessary, but much appreciated, kind gesture. I appreciate this kind of loyalty and find it to be extremely rare. I would (and do) recommend this business to anyone.
