Horrible job - do not use. I took my daughter's grad dress here for hemming and strap adjustment. The excess fabric at the hem was cut jagged and uneven there was obviously no measuring done. The fabric for the hem was rolled over unevenly and stitched without a care for evenness. The straps were shortened and the pieces removed were of differing lengths so the bodice is too tight on one side. We also had a layer of tulle removed that looked like it was hacked off!

I have been going here for about 20 years. They mostly turn around tailoring in 2 days as they open around 3 days per week for bringing your items in. They offer a change room if you want them to measure. Great prices, cash only I believe. Friendly people. Always busy.

We would highly recommend Gar Fong for any kind of alterations. We needed the cuffs of my husband's favourite Canuck's jacket tightened with perhaps some elastic, and when I called and asked about it I was quoted $12.00 on the phone by a lovely sounding fellow named Jim. Turns out they did an even better job than we could have ever imagined with the alteration (it was much more detailed) and best of all it was only $8.00. Very reasonable prices and we will definitely use their services again whenever we need any alterations done. Thanks for a great job. The jacket looks and fits great, and will be worn at many winning Canucks hockey games this season!!

Good tailor and other are incredibly cheap. There's ample parking of the road. The shop is in a single room in a basement with a very low ceiling so it can get awkward with a lot of people in there.

Gar Fong is a wonderful lady who tailors clothing fairly well for a really inexpensive price. We've been here for several adjustments and have always paid very little and have had a lot of clothing fixed or tailored in a way that helps us save a lot of money by not throwing out old, damaged or ill fitting clothing. The reason for four stars instead of five is the fact that when we want things taken in, they're generally not taken in as much as we would like them to be. I've had this experience with shirts and pants, and my wife has also had this with pants and a coat. Things aren't fitted here like a master tailor would fit them, but then again, you're paying $8 for a shirt to be darted and $9 for pants, versus $35 for a shirt and $50 for pants. All in all this place is: An inexpensive and largely good way to keep your clothing longer. Just don't expect the perfection of the tailors at Outlooks.

Great service and cheap. Cash only! Hard to find. It is on the corner in a white house in something that seems like a basement suite. Asian man and women that run it are very friendly and helpful. Not a lot of parking around the area.

I gave them a pair of trousers and wrong measurements were taken again and again. Whenever I told her that I disagreed with the measurements she made a face. I had to go there several times in this stormy weather for one pair of trousers and no regard was shown to the inconvenience I was facing. Finally, I went with a pair of trousers that I wear often and requested her to take measurements of that pair. They were so alarmed at my request and started speaking very loudly. Their behaviour was horrible towards me and they commented on my ability to afford their services despite me paying them as soon as I got the work done. As a POC, it was even more hurtful. Though I don't understand their language, I could sense the hatred in their demeanour. They were extremely warm to some other people and very cold towards me. I'd rather pay much higher than go to such hateful people.

Fast, efficient, and so pleasant! Gar Fong stitched up my work pants within minutes and only charged $3. I gave her $6 and told her the rest was hers and she gave me an unexpected hug - so sweet! I don't have much money, but I believe in paying for what you get in any way you can. It's the small tokens of appreciation that matter most. What a sweet lady! Pants fixed and she made my day :)

Super nice family, they have the best prices and super quick turn around. If you are looking to refit a shirt or pants for cheap this is it. If you are looking for high class tailoring maybe not, some of the seam work would be dissapointing if I payed high prices. Try outlooks for that. Would recommend!

I had a new zipper put on a black dress and hemming done on pants at different times. Always good work, professional and reliable with times quoted. Friendly staff, affordable pricing. The only drawback is that I wish they understand the function and style of breaks. I asked for a no-break on my dress pant and half-break on my jeans, but she didn't know what that is. I also noticed chalk marks and loose threads when I got them back. Having said that, I will still go back. She is a very nice lady.
