This review is a long time coming. I had a bad experience with El Zorro/ Sam Galvez and I never did post a review. Only recently a friend also had a bad experience with El Zorro and I decided I would take the time to write this and possibly spare others the disappointment and frustration we experienced. My dress wasn’t ready twice when promised and the work was done poorly. I should have checked the Yelp reviews. Try the mall tailor instead.

Samuel's work is excellent. He is friendly and helpful, and the prices are very fair and reasonable unlike many tailors. He is fast too, and has always had everything done on time for us. He is also a dressmaker/costume maker and incredibly talented. I always feel welcome, he gives an estimate at the time of drop off and has never charged me more than the original estimate. Best tailor in Kelowna!

I took in pants to get fixed and I was not happy , first of all I know nothing about sewing , the guy was so rude argued with me on the phone and said I would be charged again if he was to re fix them, if I was a un happy costumer .....wouldnt you gladly re fix them for free , I would not recommend this place

Samuel at El Zorro is hands down the best in Kelowna! I shopped my RV trailer upholstery to everyone in town. Nobody wanted to even quote on it. Samuel had it quoted within days and completed within a couple weeks of approval! Thank you Sam!

I paid way too much for a seam that was litterally pulling right out and when I showed it to them they turned me away without offering to quickly fix the thread which would have taken one minute. Also did a poor job and poor quality for what I paid and asked for. My favorite dress that I had hemmed looks like it will fall apart after one run three the dryer. It's my favorite dress... and I paid way too much for what was poorly done.

Sam was a life saver for me - I'm from Australia and my Canadian fiance and I have been separated for almost 2 years because of Covid-19. I bought my dress 2 years ago, and when Canada opened it's borders I came and brought my dress with me, but I didn't fit into it anymore. I called many seamstresses and tailors who all said they couldn't help me - even over the phone, without even seeing the dress. I asked the owner of Tip Top Tailors in Kelowna if he had any recommendations for tailors in the area and he confidently gave me Sam's name and number. The moment I walked in Sam was professional, positive, calmed me right down, and promised me that together we would work out a solution. He kept me updated with ideas and sent photos and always asked for my opinion and approval before making any changes to the dress. He was SO fast - the dress was finished in 1 week. He was so kind and supportive - exactly what I needed in that challenging time. I would wholeheartedly recommend El Zorro Tailoring & Alterations.

I've had many things altered and repaired by Samuel at El Zorro. He consistently provides some of the best tailoring work I've ever seen, and at competitive pricing. Truly a 5 star experience. Be careful though, if you get caught up in conversation with Samuel you might find yourself suddenly learning how to salsa dance from a professional!

Asked them to create a face mask with very little instruction. They created it to exactly what I wanted. Nice to see the small projects get made just as well as the more expensive ones. 5 Stars (Only wish they texted/phoned when my project was done, so that I new I could have picked it up when it was done) :)

I cannot thank Samuel enough for the incredible work he did on repairing and refurbishing a classic motorcycle jacket from the 70's. He gave me a price which was high but very reasonable for the work, spent 3 months to take it apart, reline, re-oil (the leather was like cardboard) and re-stitch. The patience it took to let him do his job was rewarded. I am thrilled and could not be happier. thank you so very much Samuel.

Excellent workmanship here! Had my vintage lambswool leather coat altered and it looks and fits great now! In comparison to some other reviews it was done exactly when promised and remember the cost might not be low but it is a craft and obviously worth it!

I had 3 items to get repaired and hemmed. Samuel being the master tailor that he is crushed it! All of my garments were perfectly fixed to keep on being used. I have taken technical clothing to him like snowboard jackets and my merino wool ninja suit base layer and Samuel was able to keep those garments in use as well. He gets paid up front and I get that because he runs a small business and that is his livelihood on the line if someone was to rip him off. He has always been good to me and I always refer people to him because he is truly a master tailor and loves his profession.
