I am never getting anything altered here again and I would not recommend it, especially if you care about your clothing.
The owner doesn't listen to his customers. One star is generous.
I went in, it wasn't busy. I was the only customer there.
I told him I wanted my jeans tapered, hemmed and the crotch patched up.
I even gave him a piece of paper with the specific measurements for the leg opening, knee and inseam so he didn't have to pin the jeans up or anything.
I told him specifically FOUR times that I wanted them to be tapered from the INSEAM so I could keep the original selvedge outseam. Each time he said, "Yes, OK, I know!" or "Yes, I can do that." Clearly he did not hear it one time.
I went back to pick the jeans up. Surprise, surprise!!! The jeans were tapered from the outseam. PLUS he forgot to hem the jeans too! He even attached my paper with the measurements on it.
I confronted him and said, "I told you like 4 times to do it from the inseam." He told me this, "It's the exact same thing! I did not understand, you should have told me. Now it is too late. If I tapered it from the inseam it would have been destroyed."
Well first of all, it's NOT the same thing. Secondly, you didn't understand after I said it four times? I should have told you.. right. Thirdly, OBVIOUSLY it would have been destroyed. I wanted the inseam to be destroyed and I wanted to keep the original outseam.
He eventually admitted that he heard me instruct him to taper from the inseam and then he called me "crazy" for wanting to do it like that. Well if you didn't know how to do it, you could have just told me instead of changing your plan without informing me.
After his 5 minutes of yelling at me and calling me crazy, he said "I don't want to argue with you, just take them." Not even an apology or admission of his wrong. I appreciate the free terrible alteration... but this guy is a mess and should learn to LISTEN TO HIS CUSTOMERS.
ROSE is great, but if you walk in and see the Filipino dude (her Husband I'm assuming), gtfo.
