Went in for a simple repair on a zipper. Seemed pretty routine from service I got. Think it was less than an hour to get it back. Only other tailor have used took an entire day due to workload so not much for comparison to this time.

Honestly, I rarely write reviews but when customer service is this stellar, it’s the least one can do. I highly advice anyone that’s looking for quality suits to go to this place and ask for a man called Gazi Moustafa. Not only did the man do a stellar job at helping us, he’s funny and friendly. Prices are also great compared to other brands. Will be visiting here again soon!

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Ladies and Gentlemen get ready for a horror story. I called Wednesday afternoon to confirm the hours of operation for Thursday because I did not want to rely on google hours (especially because of covid). The representative assured me they would be open from 10am to 6pm. Thursday morning, I arrived to the store 10 minutes early as I had an important interview scheduled for 12 noon. At 10:05 am the store had not yet opened... I decided double check the time on Tip Top Tailors website and found that they are supposed to be open at 10 am on Thursday. So I decided to wait anxiously for few minutes... I contemplated leaving and going elsewhere but I was strapped for time and continued to wait... Finally at 10:45 a young woman casually walks towards the store with headphones in her ears and asked if I was waiting to get in. I told her I had been waiting for over 45 minutes and she replied that "oh, I had an accident". To be honest she did not look like she was distresed or in a hurry to open the doors. To me it seemed she had slept in... Also, she was not well dressed at all. I was shocked to find out she worked here as she looked like a shopper wearing pajamas... Regardless I was relieved to see someone finally show up! But this is when things got VERY BAD. The young woman was attempting to unlock the front doors and asked if I could help her. I tried to unlock the door but the key would not turn! She apologized and went to get Security to help, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful. The security officer said they did not even have a spare key to open the door! Apparently she was not given the right key and was blaming it on her co-worker ! This was an absolute nightmare! My blood was boiling as I was 1 hour away from my job interview without a suit and still waiting to get into this store! At this point I asked for the young woman's name and she quietly responded "Lee". I told her that I would be writting a review about my experience and expect the owner to contact me about this horrific incident. My email address for the manager is edbhospitality@gmail.com. Please contact me immediately in order to discuss compensation for waiting outside of your store for over an hour without a chance of getting into your store and jeopardizing my job interview! Very unprofessional. I do not reccomend this store to anyone.

Very disorganized. Came to pick up my rental tux as part of a group of groomsmen and the store staff couldn't tell whether it was already paid for so I paid in full. Then when I brought it back on time, I triple-checked with the store staff that I brought back everything to have it accounted for, and the staff assured me that 'yes, don't worry it's all here, you're all good!'. Then the following day I get a call asking where my suit is! I recommend getting everything in writing, don't rely on verbal agreements when dealing with this place. At least the tux itself fitted fine and looked great - it's just the service that made the whole group of groomsmen very nervous.

Awful experience today. No one came and greeted us or offered help. We had to approach a sales person ourselves. The woman was “in the middle of steaming” and wouldn’t even make eye contact with us. Made us feel like we interrupted her and disturbed her. Never ended up approaching us. So we left… Awful customer service. I’ll probably never go back.

I went to this location to return a jacket that I had purchased online. When you buy something online they send you a receipt via email. I brought this receipt in store, but the sales rep said it was the wrong receipt. I showed him where it said on the paper that this was the proper receipt, but he insisted that it wasn't. He told me I needed to call customer service in order to get the proper receipt along with a transaction number. Instead I went to the Burlington location. I gave them the exact same piece of paper, and they processed the return with no issues. I was in and out in a few minutes. My time was wasted traveling to another city because of the ignorance of the sales staff. I won't be returning to this location. To the owner replying to this review: please do not copy and paste the same reply that you leave for all negative reviews. Instead assure me that the problem that I've clearly outlined will be fixed.

I had to get a suit for a wedding. Like most guys, I left it until the last minute because that's what we do lol. I frantically went into the store on the Sunday before the wedding, met Sniggy and another lady (didn't catch her name) and was treated like absolute gold from start to finish by both. Sniggy was able to get my size in the suit that I wanted from another store just in time for the wedding despite my absolutely dispicable level of planning and organization ????. I was as a result the best dressed person at said wedding and I have the girls at Tip Top market mall to thank. Sniggy, I promise the next time you see me I will give you more than a few days notice to find me what I need but you were absolutely amazing! you deserve a raise (both of you ladies do! ) Thank you so much, go to Tip Top market mall for your formal wear needs, they will treat you like royalty even if you are a disorganized mess ????

Worst customer service I've had. Went there to find a suit for my fiance. Was being helped by a man, medium build, long hair, can't remember his name. The size/cut my fiance was trying on wasn't fitting very well in the waist, it was too large while the shoulders were fine. The sales assistant kept saying we would need to get it tailored, he recommends that for everyone. I said that our goal is not to spend a lot of money on a suit and more money on tailoring, and that he had tried on suits that fit a lot better than that one. I said that in a very nice manner, to which he very rudely replies: "Well we don't have it." I handed him the suit and left. I would NEVER shop there or recommend this place again. Not in a million years would I say that to a customer. Edit: We ended up finding a perfectly fitting suit for him that same day at Le Chateau, which needed NO alterations.

I went in today to find a suit for a wedding in a couple of days. I truly appreciated the absolutely amazing customer service that Sniggy offered me. She was incredibly personable, caring, funny, and helpful. She was able to offer me her opinions on many different suits, and all were extremely helpful. I ended up purchasing almost everything she recommended. Her personality, and absolute level of care that she showed in every aspect of the sale, didn't come off as the least bit greedy or pushy regarding sales tactics. Someone of her caliber doesn't come around often in any area of retail or sales in general. Everyone who goes to Tip Top Tailors needs to have the pleasure of dealing with Sniggy at least once in their life.

There were some hiccups as the information that I had versus what the order form showed was different but we were able to get through it. Rob was pleasant and patient and I was able to get the measurements I needed while clarifying ally questions.

The experience we had here was a bit aggravating, to say the least, as the staff largely ignored my friend and provided lack luster service when they did acknowledge us. We ended up spending about 700 dollars here despite the poor atmosphere and disappointing demeanor of the staff, due to it being one of the only affordable options for suits in Corner Brook. The attitude of the sales person left a lot to be desired as he was condesending and belittled us for asking questions regarding sizes and options. He spent a majority of his time standing behind the register staring at us while we were at the dressing room trying on the suits and shirts. It did become a bit busy at one point, but for the majority of our time in the store it was just our party, for which we were vastly under served for the amount of time and money spent at this establishment.

The clothes is nice but the older guy at the store today was not very good. I asked for a sizing and he didn't so much as look up and say just a minute...just starred at his computer and said I'll help shortly in a pretty rude and dismissive tone. Amazing assistance! I have what my now wife would call "Hockey Thighs." Meaning I need a 38 for my waist, and a 46 for my thighs. The day before my wedding, I went to pick up my suit from the Drycleaners, and they had given me the wrong jacket back. (I gave them a custom tailored 750$ Calvin Klein Jacket, and they gave me an over tha counter 100$ jacket back) This is where Tip Top comes into play. I was able to get in and out within 45 minutes, and leaving with the stress and anger of my situation completely gone. The gentleman working was extremely knowledgeable, and was able to look me up and down once, and pick out a perfectly fitting suit. He set me up with pants that fit great, utilizing a size up waist and a 4way stretch in the material. The knowledge and help he was able to provide me saved my weekend. Thank you so much, Tip Top

This store is a joke. Customer service is not a job in this store. Everytime I went in this store they knew I was there they went to help me and then started helping someone else. Took my information finally when I got service and I guess they lost it. I returned my sons suit this past Monday and they are calling the groom of the wedding asking for the suit back and if they dont receive it, it is then the grooms responsibility. Not sure how when I paid the deposit and the remaining balance. They stated I should have gotten a receipt from the store when returning my suit, they just said thank you and good bye. So I left I had another appointment. Unorganized much? I will not recommend Tip Top Tailors to anyone. I will say of you need to buy or rent a tux/suit go to Collins. Great service, price and quality.

Sheldon is an absolute pleasure to talk to- made us feel very welcomed, he is very knowledgeable, and has a fantastic personality. They currently have a 40% off sale for most of their inventory, plus I signed up for their text alerts, which gave me an additional 10% off my first purchase. Ordered my wedding party's pants and dress shirts ( bought not rented). Each store doesn't share information if you buy (and the guys lived in different spots) so each groomsmen had to bring a picture of the reciept from the first purchase to their location, to ensure it was the same. Ended up with two different pants and three different shirts between six guys some being different prices. Terrible experience, wouldn't recommend.

I was in need of a new suit for an important work function and had amazing, beyond my expectations in service with out feeling I was out of touch in putting a suit together. As far as in person shopping you will also notice the fresh cleanliness, the organization of their vast stock and how truly great the new store looks. I will never ever recommend Tip Top Tailors to anyone. My husband and I had the worst experience with the wedding parties suits at this location. We got married in June 2018, the groomsmen and the groom went in for measurements and to order the suits 3 months before our wedding. Two weeks before our big day we called the store asking if the suits have come in yet, they said they don't come in a few days before the wedding. We then called in again a week before the wedding and they assured us that they would be in. A few days before the wedding we went into the store for the men to try on their suits and some of them were missing, some showed up in the wrong colour all of them were the wrong sizes and it was a mess. They had lost the best man's measurements and had never even ordered his suit, one of the suits was mismatched with navy pants, they did not order the suit jacket for my husband. To think that the manager was the one who originally helped them with their measurements and their order... The day before the wedding was stressful as they had to re-measure and ended up having to hire in a tailor to do the alternations that evening. In the end, my husband's suit was a completely different colour then the rest of the groom's party, our best man was wearing the grooms original pants that were so tight if he bent over the pants would have split down the back. I was 100% not impressed with the customer service we received and do not recommend this location or any Tip Top Location to anyone. I work in the wedding industry and I always tell people to avoid Tip Top like the plague.

He helped me off and on for two hours - I found just the right suit (for $99.00 no less, a great Boxing Day Sale!) and also great conversation. Thank you so much, Rod. Good prices but some of the staff are extremely unattentive and lost a suit that was returned. Staff didnt get all the correct information from that separate party and just because someone is in our wedding party doesn't mean we are responsible for their returns or suit. It was paid for by a different person, not us, and was rented and returned by that same person. The staff didnt get their information rather than do that extra work just used all the same info as mine than tried to hold me responsible for a suit they said wasnt returned when it was so I wasnt very impressed. When I told them they said oh well the groom is responsible for everything... I wasnt very happy with the service at all and would reccomend tip top tailors, as they have great suits and rentals but just not in the cambridge centre....

I do not usually write reviews but this was special and the story had to be shared. I live on the island and my son lives in the Cariboo. I called around Vancouver and Ron at Tip Top, Metro Town sent me a sheet to take my son's measurements and he would send a suit to my son in the Cariboo in time for his graduation. My son was visiting me on the island and had a 4 hour wait at the airport. I called Ron at Tip Top and asked if that would be enough time for my son to take a train and try on the suit. Ron offered instead to go meet my son at the South Terminal for him to try on a suit for his grad ceremony. I could not believe it, this man did not even hesitate and met my son and this is the suit, shirt and tie we ended up with. Given covid, I was concerned that we would not be able to make his ceremony special but between the outstanding heart and service we received from Ron at Tip Top and his school who put on a wonderful (and socially distanced ) grad ceremony and reverse parade, this grad will go down in history as extraordinary and a wonderful memory of the wonderful people that made it possible. Thank you Tip Top and Ron for your outstanding kindness and special service. We can not thank you enough or say enough about the suit. Tip Top service!!!!

Gazi spent almost 2 hours with me helping me pick out the perfect suit. He did my measurements and helped me find the perfect sizes for every piece. He walked me through all the different styles of shirt collars. He showed me lots of different tie combinations. He gave recommendations on how to match the suit with the right belt and shoes. Last but not least, he had my pants hemmed within 24 hours. Great experience!

I had an overall good experience there. A lady from Nigeria was quite helpful and provided good custom service for me. She even tied my tie for me. The lady that may be from Eastern Europe was also nice. When I came back to get my clothes that were on hold the next day, there was some confusion as to their whereabouts but they were found. A note for customers to always check what they are paying for when buying things. There are often additional costs for things whether buying a suit or buying a new car. Little extra things can be added up to beyond the anticipated cost. Same for restaurants for that matter (little additives). Transparency in sales is still lacking generally but the customer must be prudent with their wallets and purses.

My son needed a suit for his graduation. It was the first suit he was buying and he was very excited. Had been to a couple of stores to look around, but wasn't impressed with what we saw in other retailers. Messy stores, loud music, clothing items on the floor and not organized on racks, and non existent sales staff. Then I remembered Tip Top. Years ago while living in Toronto I remembered the wonderful experience we had there when buying some suits for my 87 year old grandfather. I figured maybe the service and products are still good. I am happy to say I was right. The store is clean and organized no blaring music and the staff were fantastic, especially Gazi Mustafa. This gentleman made the experience so easy for us. He showed us beautiful suits and was extremely helpful. He made the experience of first time suit purchasing for my son a breeze. We also bought a shirt and other accessories. Gazi is a born salesman but always polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. I thought that finally here was a sales associate who knew his job and was happy to help. Reminded me of the sales people in Southern Europe when I was a kid who worked in retail for a living and took it seriously. Who took pride in a job well done. To cut to the chase the service was so awesome and your products so great that my husband ended up buying a suit and shirt as well. Believe me when I say that we were there solely for my son's suit and the suit for my husband was the furthest thing on our minds. But we ended up buying the extra suit. In an era where everyone talks about great "customer service" but very few deliver this was the best customer service that I have received in years. Hopefully, you will recognize the wonderful and professional employee that you have in Mr. Gazi Mustafa. Superb all the way. Thank you.

Very excited to go suit shopping for my sons graduation, we decided to go to Tip Top Tailors. When we went in he tried on a couple he liked. He then chose a shirt and tie. The lady helping us explained they do not have the pants in his size for the suit he picked out. So she would order them in. She took his measurements (because the pants needed to be altered when they come in). And they should be ready in about a week. She said she would call once they are done... so I paid for everything. I waited 9 days and still no call. So I went into the store to find out she didn't even order the pants! I was very disappointed but the guy working told me he would make sure the pants get ordered and he would have them done for me by the end of the week. (Another 5 days!) They then called me on the 5th day and said the pants are ready for pick up. It was a sigh of relief till I got to the store to see there was a hole in the top of the pants where the alterations were made. The same lady that originally helped us assured me she would have a new pair altered and ready to be picked up by the next day at noon and she would call me to confirm... so the next day comes and I wait for a phone call... noon passes... and still nothing. So I finally get tired of waiting and head down to the store at 5pm. The pants are finished and no one bothered to call me. In all this I was more than patient and to not even receive an apology! It was horrible customer service!!

I’ve never written a review for any store, but this place calls for it. I just moved to Vancouver and the first night I stayed in the city my vehicle was vandalized and literally all of my suits and dress clothes that I’ve accumulated over my professional life were stolen. I knew I’d have to replace at least a few for work, and having had good experiences at Tip Top back home before, I decided I’d go to the nearest mall and see what the damage would be. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to it. Over the course of about an hour, Mr. Gazi personally picked out and assembled every outfit I could need, down to the socks. He seemed to know what I would like before I did. He had another perfect outfit waiting for me before I even got out of the dressing room. Never having met me before he turned a trip I was dreading into a great experience and I am incredibly appreciative for that. When it came time to pay, Ron made sure I was getting the absolute best deal possible to help soften the blow to my wallet. If you need a suit, shirt or anything in-between, it’s worth the trip to go see Ron and Gazi at Tip Top in the Metropolis Mall.

Peter not only helped me find the perfect suit but also made me feel at ease. I walked out of the store an amazing suit, but also feeling so much better about myself as a whole. My boyfriend went here to buy a suit. He got it altered, when we picked it up, it fit pretty wonky. They were supposed to lengthen the arms, one arm is visibly longer than the other arm. The back flap of the suit is poorly sewn. When I showed the Tailor, he pretended not to notice. It looks completely wobbly and uneven. I laid it flat and finally he agreed that it did not look right. He said it just needed to be pressed. He pressed it and as I suspected it still looked completely uneven. The suit was on sale, so we just took in and decided to go to a new tailor. The staff was very rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend going here for a suit.

Don't go here. Why would you do that?? If you want a suit that doesn't match your colouring or current fashion and is 5x too big, then maybe you should go here for your next suit.

I went into this store about a week ago and had a great experience. Just an hour before my shift would begin, I went in and told them what I needed to make the dress code. The two gentlemen working, Sam and Igazi, knew exactly what I was looking for and got me set up within minutes. At the end, I was able to walk out with everything I needed within 30 minutes of walking in, and was thoroughly impressed with their customer service and professionalism. I know exactly where I will be doing my formal shopping from now on. Cheers guys.

Got suits for 2 occasions here in the last couple months. Both times was very impressed! Very helpful to get us as a wedding party through both times at a reasonable pace. Answered questions and helped to make sure even things we had not thought of were addressed. Took care of making sure a party member who was from considerable distance got the correct clothing items at a seperate location. All the clothing was tailored on time and correctly. I could go on but, gentleman this place, overall excellent service, would recommend if your shopping for men's wear.

These guys are awesome. I came in here in a mad rush to get a dress pant to match a suit jacket I had. I needed this for a formal occasion early next morning. While I didnt find a matching color (hard to find) but they helped me find alternative choices. Two ladies and a guy . Super helpful and patient. Angel's honestly!

I came in to get alterations done for a suit for a wedding, The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I am now here the day of the wedding because the pants are a little too tight in the thigh after the alteration. Even though I’m here last minute the lady (Inas) was happy to accommodate me on sight by taking out the pants. As someone in sales I understand how difficult it is to satisfy the needs and wants of all your customers. I never leave reviews online but due to the outstanding customer service I received, I give them 5 stars. I recommend stitch it burlington to anyone looking for alterations in a professional and timely manner.

Heard about here from a friend. Great place to get a suit. Had some issues when I first went but Ron and Nicole sorted things out and made things right. Got fitted by Nicole for my suit and couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Highly recommend coming here for suits at great prices. Myself and all 5 of my groomsmen got our suits quickly.

So disappointed with the staff and online returns. Always have to wait for a long time for checkout. The person keeps going back and forth and talking with other customers, or phone. A simple return took more than half an hour! Another problem is shopping online. When you receive your online order, on the recipe paper says we don’t accept this paper and it’s only Emailed recipe but when you go to store, they don’t accept email and it’s only the paper! Who is responsible for this BS?!!!

I bought a large amount of clothes here recently and discovered after I had gone home and washed and ironed my shirts, they did not fit in the sleeves. I was furious because while my neck was measured, my arm length wasn't and I got the wrong size. I read on their website that apparel washed can not be returned so I thought I was out 180.00 I took the shirts to the store and explained my situation. The salesperson who sold me the clothes was not in but a salesperson named Giga helped me. He was sympathetic to my situation, measured my arm length and agreed that the shirts I bought were the wrong sleeve length. He took the shirts back and replaced them with shirts that were the right size. I was so relieved that Giga took care of me and remedied the situation. Giga certainly understands customer service and Tip Top management needs to know that Giga "gets it" when it comes to customer service. His actions turned me from a customer vowed never to return to a customer who will shop at Tip Top and will look for him specifically to help me. Need some men's clothes? Go see Giga at Market Mall Tip Top. He will take care of you.

Where do I start? Walk in have to wait 30 mins before I'm helped as they were understaffed. Whatever I can get over it as it is during Covid after all. Anyways, my turn is up and I'm part of a wedding party. I give them my name and the grooms name and turns out they don't even have a system to setup a wedding party; how antiquated. You have to know which specific store the groom attended to get the item numbers and you have to know what parts needed (at another store they gave a groomsman a vest and we are jackets/pants only). Next they don't have stock for the particular items I need and they need to order even though it is regular stock; again so be it. Three weeks later, I call the store as I hadn't heard anything for which they tell me it has been sitting around for two weeks. Now I'm clearly bitter at this point as they are burning time leading up to the wedding. I just need to get the sleeves lengthened and at this point you think they would just comp it for me but they try and charge me which I wasn't having as it was the least they could do. They tell me it will be done Wednesday and will give me a call to confirm it is done. Surprise Surprise no call. I should have known walking in with the staff wearing ill fitted suits that they wouldn't take pride in their work. Never again with Tip Top and that comes from me and the entire wedding party.

Hi everybody, Gazi was one of the best professional sales person I met at TIP TOP, I came to buy only ONE suit after a week searching for it in different places. However, he approched me very nicely and gave me his advices, quickly looked every where at the store to make me happy with not only what I wanted but also with amazing quality, I ended up buy 3 suits, 2 shirts and 3 pieces of ties with being really happy. I will recommend him to all my friends. I originally went there to buy around $150 and had a nice face with paying around $800.

I was in the store today and 2 fantastic sales ladies landed me a hand at finding some clothes. I was shopping in the big and tall section, both were a fantastic help. Highly recommend this store to anyone. The lady who mostly was helping me was Darla. Absolutely fantastic help and wealth of information. I was informed that they are closing down the big and tall portion of that store. This is very sad since I already have a hard time finding clothing. In my hometown we don't have a big and tall, so it is refreshing to have somewhere to go to buy clothes. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.

After visiting the Guildford location and being told No to my requests of a nice white shirt with french cuffs, with no offer of any other options except for "try the Bay",I drove to the Metrotown Tip Top.I was greeted professionally by Gazmund Mustafa and two other staff members who helped me buy 3 shirts and 2 ties that fit my needs exactly. I walked into the store to get 1 pair of cuff links for my wedding. I walked to the back and grab the cuff links I liked and walked to the cash register area to pay. The employee then proceeded to question me and accuse me of steal. She repeatedly asked me if I was sure I wasn’t buying 2 pairs of cuff links. She then walked back and counted the cuff links that were on display before. She then returned to the register and asked me again if I was positive if it was only 1 pair and not 2 pairs that I was buying. Implying that I was stealing a second pair of cuff links. I confronted her and asked her why she was accusing me of stealing. She replied with I didn’t quite say that. I then asked to speak to the manager in which she stated she was the manager so I asked for the general manager information. She informed me I could file a complaint on and “good luck with getting anywhere with that”. She then asked me again if I was positive I’m only purchasing 1 pair. The customer service and utter disrespect I was shown is unacceptable. The completely out of hand accusations she made did nothing but leave me embarrassed, upset and humiliated. I will not be returning as a customer and will be following up further because this should not happen to an honest, paying customer.

Great selection, value, and service. I picked out a suit from the website, but when I saw it in person I wasn't thrilled with it. The staff person there, Gazmend, was a big help in showing me other options. He had several customers to deal with in what seemed to be like a late rush when they were about to close, but he still managed to help me find the right suit. I visited this store to purchase an overcoat to wear over a suit jacket. The store makes it extremely hard to try anything on, I was able to try on one jacket, I wanted to try on the same jacket in the size up but was not allowed. The reason I visited the store was to try it on, otherwise I would have just bought online.

Be wary of who pins your jacket when getting alterations. My fiance went in to get a blazer taken in and the person on the floor pinned it too tightly (assuring him the fit would be right). The tailor did the alterations and unfortunately didn't leave enough material in the seams to take it out and fix it. They don't take responsibility for it because my fiance (who wasn't familiar with blazers/fit) said "sure" when the pins were put in (after 30 minutes of the person fumbling with it). I assume quality depends on who you get.

Customer service and people who actually know what they’re doing is so important. I had some pants altered on purchase at the Peterborough store before I moved to Burlington. The pants started splitting open at the back after about 2 weeks because the alterations had been done quick and poorly (barely any thread holding them together and loose stitching) Fast forward, I’m now 2 hours away and told that the Burlington location will take care of it at no charge to me. I take them in - the guys get me sorted out and even suggest they do additional alterations at no charge because the fit of the pants completely sub par. Long story short, they know what they’re doing and are fixing the butchery that Peterborough made of my clothing. Excellent service all around.
