We were looking for an Indian tailor for alternations to a designer dress. We approached multiple tailors but nobody was ready to fix the blouse because of the challenging work required. Rina Fashions not only did a great job in using the Dupatta fabric to make the challenging alternations but also did it in a couple of days as we were short on time. We will gladly be back!

Husband and wife run the business. They had very good service! I walked in to get blouse made and both were able to accommodate me within 1hr. They were very friendly and were able to recommend a good blouse style for me (I’m a saree newbie!). A week later, I added a request to pre pleat the saree and they were able to add this service no problem! Two weeks later I was able to pick up the blouse and saree. Both were made as per my request! Although they were quite a bit pricey (blouse + accessory + lining on saree was $65 altogether and semi pleat saree was $55), I would likely go back to them for the details they put into the blouse and quality of work and not to mention the couple was so nice and friendly. They also taught me how to wear my saree! I’ll definitely go back :)

I've been coming to Rina for tailoring for over 10 years now. She is truly an amazing tailor. It's clear how talented she is and how hard she works to bring to reality a piece that's even more fitting than imagined. And I don't mean that the clothes turn out to be tighter than planned but that she knows and takes care to stitch each item in the way that suits best to the fabric, design, style, and the client's desires. She ensures that you are happy with the end result. I've had experiences where I've lost clothing material that I loved because the tailor in question cut corners (haha), and that really hits me hard because I love clothes and dressing up. It's especially hard to find a tailor who does Indian/South Asian in a country so far from those places (though I know she does and can do other types of tailoring as well.. but so far, I've mainly come to her with South Asian clothes). I know because of these reasons tailoring Desi clothes here (Canada) can be pricey and therefore scary if you don't know if the end result will even be good, especially if you're on a fixed income. So I'm happy to be lucky enough to have found her and to be close enough to be a client. I know it might seem like I'm gushing and going a little overboard, but I know I wouldn't say it if it weren't true. I've trusted her with unstitched and stitched fabrics that have been of varied grandness, all of which have come out to be flattering. This includes a really expensive heavy lehenga. She fixed it so well that it was better fitted that the tailoring the boutique owner had modeled for official photoshoots! (This was almost a bridal lehenga. And I have seen her do the same with a hurts-your-arms-to-lift lehenga too) And in case you're not sure what would look good, definitely get her opinion. Sometimes, a dress doesn't look very good and you don't know why.. She understands all the nuances and details of the craft and fixes that. She's very nice, non-judgemental, and really knows what she's talking about. She's also very respectful of privacy, etc as well. Oof. this became way too long. Anyway, hope you (and everyone) gets all the clothes of their dreams and that she gets all the recognition and awards she so fully deserves!

If you're looking to have your outfits made or even just altered you want to come here. Rina and Kamal were not only lovely to work with but did an amazing job with our Sari's!! We were initially looking at doing a lehenga style but took Rina's advice to make it into a Sari and I'm so happy we did! I chose the pre pleating option - which is a must! It made the day so easy and since I don't know how to tie a sari on my own I'll be able to wear this beautiful outfit again with no hassle! Such a great experience here! Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back :) Also, trust them when they says the blouse will not need to be adjusted at pick up... it fit like a glove!
