Same day service, super competitive pricing. 10$ on 3 patch jobs on my jacket. Cash or cheque policy only sadly though. Maybe e-transfers with confirmation numbers provided might be useful for the business to provide convience of payment.

I’m over the moon at how amazing this place is for alterations. I would highly reccomend it to anyone needing a sleek and perfect fitting wardrobe! It made all the difference to my dress for the evening. The gentleman who tailors for me has been doing it for 50 years and was in fashion before this. He knows exactly how clothing should sit on the body, and has the skill and ability to make it look right. Don’t settle for a wonky neckline, baggy arm pits or bulging, make it look the way it should to flatter your body!

Shapour done a wonderful job on my suit trousers which I had somehow managed to rip during a trip to Las Vegas. I thought the trousers were not repairable and I would have to look to buy another pair. The suit was very expensive so I was praying that Shapour could fix them. I was quite surprised when I seen the job he done on the trousers as they really did look like they couldn't be fixed but somehow Shapour worked his magic on them. I also owe him and Claudette a debt of gratitude for their honesty as I had left a lot of money in the pocket. I could not recommend Shapour as a tailor and overall as a kind human being. Two weddings this year with two different suits altered by Shapour. Fantastic results with unmatched service. Shapour has been at it for close to 60 years, and it shows. The absolute bonus is the pleasure of dealing with them - so friendly and courteous, you'll feel like a part of the family! There were even a couple of times my scheduling meant I'd have to show up at 6pm, and they were willing to accomodate me. I will highly recommend Shapour's to anyone who asks, and maybe some poor souls who didn't even ask..!

I came to them to have a real fur trim attached to my hood. The shop is run by two very nice, genuine people who are excellent at breaking down what work needs to be done. They managed to stitch the fur to my hood perfectly and in a way that I can easily remove it if I want to wash the parka. Their prices are very reasonable and they even corrected a mistake made by the person who supplied me the fur pelt for free! Will definitely go back if I need anymore tailoring done.

I had an evening dress (which was also my wedding dress) hemmed at Shapours. The dress has a single tulle overlay with a polyester liner. The dress only needed to be hemmed, otherwise fit like a glove. Shapours absolutely butchered the dress. First off, the tulle was hemmed shorter than what we had agreed upon and was noticeably uneven in the back. The worst part though, the liner hung 1-2” lower than the tulle. And was crooked throughout the hem job. When I initially spoke to Shapour he raved about his experience with bridal and women’s fashion, I felt confident in his craft and never questioned the cost of the simple hem job of $100. I’ve had similar work done on other dresses for around $30. However I am new to Port Moody and it was important to me that I kept my business local and didn’t just take it to the mall. Especially since it was my wedding dress! Shame on me, but I had complete confidence in Shapour and only quickly tried on the dress, from the front everything seemed decent. Our wedding was in a very remote location; once the dress was on I literally had to smile through the tears. Long story short, I returned to Shapours upset, his wife was very apologetic, was embarrassed by the quality of work and gave me a full refund. What I don’t understand is how they could let such shabby, brutal work represent them? And why such a terrible job was ok? They didn’t have anything to say, no justification, just apologized. I just don’t get it! I am so disappointed.

Earlier this week I brought in a couple $150 dollar dresses of mine, where the zippers had broken. Shapour explained to me that the quality of zippers in the dresses were poor, and that is why they had broken. He replaced the zippers in both dresses within a week, and they honestly look better than they did to begin with as he added a extra seam to hide the zippers. Excellent customer service and workmanship. I highly recommend Shapour for all tailoring and alterations.

Mr. Shapour was exactly who I was looking for to get exactly what I wanted done to my suit for my wedding. Absolutely custom tailored a suit (from Moore's) to me. Not only that, he also measured me to make sure I bought the correct shirt for our final fitting. At the final fitting I fully wore the suit and I wanted it 100% ready for the big day. He helped me with my bow tie, pocket square, and took care of loose threads, opening up pockets, snipping what needed to be snipped. In the end. You definately get what you pay for in this world.

I really like this place. I went in wanting a zipper replaced for a jacked I bought on sale and they took a look at it and said the zipper will cost much more than the jacket so I am better off returning the jacket even though the jacket was very pretty. They didn't try to get me to fix the jacket just to make money. So now I am a regular there. Shapous has been doing this for 50 years now so your jacket is in good hands.

This was my first time going to Shapour Tailoring and had a dress altered for a wedding, they had it ready in 3 days and were kind and wonderful to deal with. When I tried it on it was fine but I should have inspected it closer because on the day of the wedding I noticed the seam was already coming apart at the very top so I hand stitched it myself. Unfortunately the major sections of the seam came apart that evening and I was left scrambling to hold it together with pins to get me through the rest of the wedding reception. I was overall disappointed with the workmanship and would not likely use them again in the future considering how much I paid In my follow up I would like to say I returned the dress to be repaired and was happy with the service I received and was also given a full refund, it is very refreshing to find such a company that still stands behind their work and their word, it is rare in today's world. I was pleased with the overall final result and would be happy to give them a second chance. Everyone can make a mistake I do understand that.

I came here to get a bridesmaids dress altered. The dress was purchased at a very large size 7 months prior to my visit and I had lost a noticeable amount of weight, so i knew there was a lot of work to be done. I came into the shop quite confident as I had read lots of great eviews. I worked hard on not gaining back the weight I had lost in the 2.5 weeks that my dress was at the tailor, but still managed to gain 4lbs. When i picked up the dress, it was still too big. Shapour told me to come back the next day so he could take in the dress a little bit more. I picled up the dress again and headed straight for the wedding. I didn't have a choice but to wear it, but still the dress was too big. The dress was way better than when i had first brought it in, and the workmanship was amazing. The only reason for 3 stars is because the dress didnt fit exactly the way I expected, however given more time I'm sure it would have been perfect. I would definitely return.
