I highly recommend this place! The owner is super friendly and accommodating. I bought a gown for my friend's wedding and there were a few things that needed to be fixed. I'm from out of town and this place was recommended to me, heard some really good things about it. After all the adjustments were made, I had a short timeline and could only go to London during the weekend. She's usually not open on Sundays, but she met me at the store that Sunday anyways! I'm definitely taking my business back there. My dress looked gorgeous too! I was so impressed!

Elizabeth Noel quoted an alteration price for my daughter's prom dress. Anna's price was MORE than 3 times quote from dress store. Anna clearly has more than enough business as her rebuttal to how there can be such a difference in price was that if I didn't want to pay her cost I could go elsewhere......so I did. I ended up with an alteration cost less than twice what Elizabeth Noel initially quoted. Not only was the quote less money but I felt more confident in their ability and my daughter didn't have to deal with Anna's eye rolling when she was discussing her prom dress alterations. I can see how people could get stuck paying outrages prices with Anna if they didn't have a name of a second seamstress. Also how can Elizabeth Noel be so far off a quote when working in the dress business? I have no trust in this industry!

Great professional work with a friendly smile, I'd trust Ann with every article of clothing I own, from winter coats to high-end suits. I trust her judgement and advice on alteration suggestions. Fast service, quality service. The price is competitive with everybody else, but if it's a piece that I care deeply about I will bring it to Ann's tailoring & Design. A+++

I wish I could give a negative review here. They lost my $240 banana republic suit jacket. My favourite jacket in the world. Cannot buy a new one because they no longer sell the women's blazer with a double vent in the back which is why I brought it to her to put patches on the elbows. It is irreplaceable. Instead of being apologetic she was rude, suggested over and over that I must have picked it up or my husband and that maybe I should check the dry cleaners. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. No offer of compensation. She kept asking me why i was putting patches on and said the jacket was obviously no longer worth $240. It's probably laying in a heap somewhere in the disaster in the back where they 'work' and no one is even looking for it because she is accusing me of picking it up without remembering having done so despite the fact that I have the ticket and I KNOW FOR A FACT that I did not pick it up. Unreal. Do NOT take your precious clothing here. I had a similar experience years ago when it took them 15 minutes to track down the item I had left for alteration. They are obviously completely disorganized.

I called this morning (extremely last minute) and you rushed to have the alterations done in under 2 hours notice. You are amazing, so talented and such a blessing. She looks stunning! I am not one to complain and I don’t write reviews, but I feel a need to warn others. I brought my wedding dress there to be altered. I dropped it off over a month before, I tried it on and we discussed what I wanted (a sweetheart neckline instead of straight across). Everything seemed ok, and I didn’t hear from them. I went to pick it up 2 days prior to my wedding, and was shocked when I tried it on. It was POORLY altered... folded over and sewed, not centred and you could see stitches. When I spoke to the seamstress her response was “I knew you wouldn’t like it!” She said she had to do it last minute (as she is apparently very busy), and I explained if she had contacted me earlier I would have had someone else do it. She became very rude and defensive. Her only solution was to take the stitch out and not fix it properly. She did not give me my money back. I was appalled and luckily was able to find another seamstress very last minute who very kindly fixed it properly in 15 minutes. She felt horrible for what happened and did not charge me. I have tried to call them as a follow up and clarify but they don’t answer the phone. I am attaching a picture of the before (when Ann’s fixed it). Only one picture can be attached, so unfortunately I can’t show the great job that was done to correct the mess at Ann’s.

Ann’s tailoring was recommended to me to tailor my prom dress. They don’t tell you a estimate or price when you take it in, you pay what they say, once it’s done. When I was recommended this place I was told it would be around $45 to shorten just the front, turned out to be just over $80. I also had my straps shortened because they were a little too loose and the strap across the top of my back had to be too. When I got my dress the straps were cut bent and roughly sewn (over $30) plus the back strap had a hook and eye closure and instead of cutting the excess off and reattaching the hook and eye they attached two snap closures, also very roughly sewn, which then made the excess overlap and charged $20. I then went back to the place I had bought my dress, who also recommended them, and had said that it usually wasn’t done that badly or expensive and that they had another customer in earlier that had similar issues. They are fixing the mistakes for me and are honestly amazing. Don’t recommend Ann’s other than for shortening (but it’s still expensive)

Their customer service is awful. They incorrectly put a zipper in my dress, so when i got home and tried it on the zipper tab broke off. When I went back in they said it was my fault that the fabric was bunched in that spot AND they said if I want it fixed I'd have to pay AGAIN! Usually when I go there I don't have a problem because they do good work, but I will likely not go back after this.

Amazing and unique place. My friend a doctor from Germany comes to London, Ontario, with her daughter for vacation 3 years now and we all do our extensive shopping here and in Toronto, so Ann does all the alterations. Fast and beautiful! She is now our exclusive designer. We beat Europeans here in our little London! Wonderful and beyond satisfaction. New look, new happy feeling. One in a million! I brought my 1200$ wedding dress to these women to have it shortened and to have cups put into the bodice. The dress had rouching on the top that went across the dress at an angle, which made it a complicated dress to work with. They told me that the ribbing in the bodice needed to come out and that they needed to tuck in the top of it, and I stupidly went with everything they said. Unfortunately, they changed the structure of the dress, so that nothing sat straight any more. I was upset, it looked like crap! so they suggested that they could put the ribbing back, I should have walked myself and my partially destroyed dress out of their store, but I thought hey these women are professionals I am sure they can fix it. They could not! They then suggested that I have the whole dress taken in ... but they pinned it only on the side that would have made the whole dress even more uneven and I could see that right away! I knew right then and there that these women, who supposedly have 20 years of experience, had no idea what the were doing! I told them no to the taking in and to finish the dress so I could take it away! They tried to tell me that no wedding dress is perfect, but I have question the amount of faults they found acceptable, the whole dress sat wrong because of the work they did and I had to choose whether the back would be straight or the front. Also one breast appeared flat and they other overly large ... I am a perfectly even naturally, so this should never have looked like that. I took the dress to another seamstress who suggested that they had taken shortcuts and it would take over two weeks to fix. My wedding was in 3 days. So I had to look like I had a lopsided crooked chest. I tried to not let it ruin my wedding day but honestly it made me very unhappy! I would never go back to anne's I wouldn't even have them hem my pants!

Highly recommended by myself as well of many of my friends and family!!! I have had numerous bridesmaids dresses altered at Ann's shop. The service is always above par and the team makes sure you are 100% satisfied. Therefore I wanted all my wedding alterations done by Ann's team. The bridesmaids had their full length dresses shorted and my A-line wedding dress was transformed into a beautifully fitted almost mermaid style dress of my dreams. Using the extra fabric they were even able to add sleeves with beading. Thank you ladies for making me a very happy bride!

Great quick service, the ladies did a phenomenal job with my suit. Definitely will be going back with any alterations in the future. Its hard to find a good and trusted tailor, but Ann and her team do great work!
